Advanced Member Posts: 29,326 Group: Members Member #2 Joined: August 31, 2008	The Lakeview's in an uproar after Eliza's disappearance, and both Dusty and Meg are yelling at Barbara, demanding that she tell them where Paul's taken Eliza. She swears she doesn't know anything about this, but of course, they're not believing her. While all the chaos is going on, Josey comes downstairs and asks what's going on. The desk clerk says that the power was out for awhile but that "everything's okay now". (Uh, isn't he aware that there's been a kidnapping???? ) Josey leaves a note for Dusty, saying that it's time for her to move on, and leaves. Later, driving in her car, she hears a baby crying, and Paul pops up out of the back seat, with Eliza. He tells her to keep driving, and pretends he has a gun, and jabs it, probably the baby's bottle, against Josey's neck and says 'Drive!' Using the money that Craig gave him, Parker's hired a limo, and he and Liberty both lie to their moms asking if they can spend the night with a friend. Of course, both moms say yes without even checking it out. Quick as a wink, Liberty and Parker are on their way to the Metallica concert in Chicago. Carly's at home wondering what to do with herself, no kids, no man, so she heads for Old Town and runs into Johnny and Craig. Johnny asks if he can go to Carly's and Carly says sure, so off they go. It doesn't take long before Janet learns that Liberty isn't at a friend's. The friend's mom comes into Al's... and orders dinner to go for herself. Her daughter is in Indiana. So Janet heads over to Carly's and the two moms figure out what's happened, especially after Craig throws in the fact that he gave Parker that money and Parker mentioned the Metallica concert. Janet and Carly both want to kill Craig, but he manages to stay alive, and he and Carly go to Chicago to find the kids while Janet stays with a sleeping Johnny. Janet calls Jack and lets him know what's going on, and he heads over to Carly's to wait with Janet. Needless to say, he isn't in a cheerful mood. Before you can say concert, Craig and Carly are back with the kids. Jack starts blaming Carly for this, somehow it's her fault, naturally, but Craig apologizes big time and says that Carly didn't know anything about it. Janet, Jack and Liberty leave, Parker gets sent upstairs to bed and Carly lets Craig and Johnny spend the night. Now it's morning, and Meg and Dusty have awakened, after a long, restless night. Meg can't believe that there's still been no sight of Paul and Eliza. Dusty wonders if Paul could be hiding in one of the underground tunnels at Fairwinds. So they call Jack and go search, but no sign of them... Josey's been driving all night and finally stops and says enough. She gets out of the car and tells Paul to go ahead and shoot her, but Paul uncovers his "gun" and sure enough, it's a baby's bottle... They happen to be by a tv studio and duck inside when they see a police car. (I think, I kind of blinked and may have missed something there... ) Inside, a woman walks up to them and asks if they're the extras with the baby. So Paul says yes, and they go wait in the lounge until it's time for them to be on screen. Two cops walk in and ask them, "How did you get here?" and Josey says, "I was forced!" Then they start laughing and say that they must all have the same agent... they're extras, too. Then they walk off. Eliza's crying, she's hungry, but before they can make up a bottle, it's time for their air time, and off they go. Paul tells Josey to keep her back to the camera and shutup. Pretty soon they're done and mix up a bottle for Eliza. Josey sits down on the couch to feed the baby while Paul scrounges around for food... when he turns around, Josey and Eliza are asleep, and Paul walks away... Meg and Dusty are back in Dusty's suite and Meg's breaking down. She asks Dusty how he did it all that time, not knowing where Johnny was... She goes to rest a little and Dusty finally reads the note that Josey left for him... he calls Josey, but it goes to voice mail. Paul's listening, and hears Dusty asking Josey to call him.... so of course, Paul deletes the message. It's morning at Carly's house, too, and she's telling Craig that she's not happy with him. Parker comes into the kitchen for a drink of water and Carly starts scolding him again... as he starts to go back upstairs, Craig walks over to him and asks, "How was it?" and Parker grins and says, "Cool!" This really infuriates Carly and she says that apparently Craig just doesn't get it, or else he wouldn't be egging Parker on like he does. Craig defends himself and says that maybe he cares too much for Parker, maybe the kid reminds him of his mother... Then Craig gently picks up Parker and heads out the door, leaving Carly staring after him, looks like she's got confusing emotions raging inside of her... Paul wakes Josey up and takes her and Eliza into a dressing room. He says they can sleep for awhile there, so Josey immediately falls asleep on a bed, and Paul sits slumped, cuddling a sleeping Eliza. Of all the things that had me going today, the worst was the stuff at the television studio. FTLOG! Even though I hate that Paul's taken Eliza, I have to say that RH did a great job looking desperately sad today at the end of the show...

I suppose Paul knew Josey's? And Dusty and his snide little comments...I was hoping someone would tell him to just shutup!! How was that helpful? How is blaming Barbara for helping Paul going to get the baby back? My 6 & 8 year old are quick to blame like that...drives me nuts!!

Member Posts: 228 Group: Members Member #465 Joined: December 8, 2008	I noticed the cell phone thing too and the writers could have been smarter and just have Paul see Dusty was calling, hang up the phone and then take the phone to somewhere else in the studio so Josie could think she accidentally lost it. Its like they wanted to use that old plot device out of the '80's where someone calls and the message is picked up by an answering machine which you can hear as the message is being left and then someone goes to machine and presses "delete" . But now its the new millenium with cell phones, Josie could only be reached on a cell phone so they stupidly have Paul somehow get into her voice mail which would be impossible unless she shared it with him. Also I noticed when Paul left Josie he came back with a stroller and he never mentioned that he was going to get one. Maybe he "borrowed" one from the prop room. It was way too obvious when the screen displayed location as "Brooklyn, NY" that they were filming at the actual ATWT studios. Its like tptb don't even want to disguise the fact that they are too cheap to create new sets or are not even creative enough to use some location to create the illusion of someplace other than Brooklyn. At least Guiding Light attempts to change their offices when they use them for sets! If they're gonna shoot in Brooklyn maybe Paul and and Josie could hide by hanging out in the Brooklyn Museum or Aquarium and ATWT could advertise for NY tourism! Anything would be better than a green room of a tv studio!

Advanced Member Posts: 11,246 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: August 31, 2008	My favorite part of the show was HENRY and VIENNA and everybody had to know ahead of time that VIENNA would want a baby ASAP. If TPTB are going to have a new baby...get it over with with everyone and then go on to the next chapter in nine months. So if LIBERTY is going to become preggers...DO IT NOW...and ALISON...DO IT NOW....and CARLY....DO IT NOW....just so we can have a year without new kids SORASing before our eyes from infant to TEENAGE before Christmas. Of course this should be in WEDNESDAY's post but multiple days...same issue.... Edited by flashdance, Feb 5 2009, 10:49 AM.
