Katie gets her period and is depressed. Brad can't figure out why, since he doesn't know she's been trying to get pregnant in the first place... Brad goes down to the diner to get some apple pie ala mode to bring home to poor widdle Katie. As he's leaving, Margo's at the door, and he asks her to stay with Katie until he gets back, so Margo agrees. BUT, Katie's on the phone and manages to get an appointment with a fertility specialist at Memorial in 10 minutes. Margo goes with her...Henry's been trying to track down Vienna, who isn't answering her cell. Paul comes in to get the pie and the two guys start talking about their women, and how they want babies. Henry tells Brad that he caught Vienna poking holes in his condom. Brad thinks that's hilarious until he realizes that Katie's been acting weird and that the last time they had sex, she didn't take her "thingy" into the bathroom with her. The two guys rush over to Brad's and find Katie's note saying she had to go to an appointment she forgot about. Brad discovers that Katie's diaphram isn't in its case. Henry says he's been toying with the idea of a vasectomy and suggests Brad get one. After all, they're reversible. So the two go over to Memorial to get some information. ![]() Once again, Dusty's hanging around the kitchen trying to insert himself even more deeply into Meg's life. He offers her money, a house, anything she wants, but she says she's going to get a job and live at the farm until she can afford a house of her own. She wants to be independent. The baby cries and she hands Dusty an bottle to heat up... There's somebody at the door with a manilla envelope for Meg. Dusty signs for it, and since it drops to the floor and comes open, he looks inside. It's paperwork from Paul, giving Meg Fairwinds and Paul's money. Dusty doesn't show it to Meg, and shows himself out while she's feeding Eliza. ![]() Paul kisses Josey roughly to show her that he's not the good guy she says he is, and she's pretty convinced. She starts crying and says she always tries to do the right thing but that something always happens to mess things up. Paul's sympathetic, and says that the "something" includes him... Dusty walks in with the manilla envelope and throws it in Paul's face saying that Meg doesn't want anything of his. Paul says he'll still see his baby and send child support, and Dusty says that there's a way to get around that... Dusty keeps talking and Paul realizes that Dusty must have offered help to Meg and she must have turned him down. Of course, this puts a big smile on Paul's face. ![]() Still upset after Dusty and Josey leave, Paul goes to the farm and tells Meg that if she didn't want to accept his help, she should come and told him herself, and not sent Dusty over with the papers. She's shocked that Dusty would do that and tells Paul she'll deal with Dusty. Paul sweetly makes his offer in person, "Take it, Meg, give Eliza everything she would have had if we were still a family..." ![]() Things deteriorate into a yelling match between Meg and Paul, and it wakes up Eliza. Meg's busy being the big self-righteous independent woman one minute, and then the next minute she's telling Paul to hold Eliza. So Paul lovingly picks up Eliza and cuddles her.... ![]() Of course, then the evil Meg comes to the forefront and she reminds Paul that this is the last time he'll be spending time with Eliza at the farm, from now on, his visits with Eliza will be in a neutral setting with a supervisor.... Paul asks her if they really have to do things that way and she says yes, because whenever she sees Paul, it's not good for her. A despondent Paul leaves, and a weepy, Meg cuddles the baby. ![]() Of course it's a given that Brad will run into Margo and Katie at the hospital. Margo's already unhappy that Katie's involving her in this fertility thing, and now she's even more unhappy that she can't tell Brad the truth about Katie's appointment. Katie tells Brad it's just a routine checkup and they go home. Katie notices that her stuff is messed up and Brad admits that because of what Vienna did, he looked for Katie's diaphram and couldn't find it. What's up, he asks. Katie tells him that she threw her old diaphram away, BUT not so she'd get pregnant, but because her old one was worn out and her appointment today was to get fitted with a new one... (with her period??? ) Brad feels terrible for being suspicious and apologizes. ![]() ![]() Dusty's sitting at the bar at The Lakeview and Josey walks up to him. She admits that she had hopes that the two of them could have a relationship, but now she knows it's not going to happen, and she has to leave. Dusty asks her where she's going and she says she can't tell him, or she'd be waiting for him to come looking for her... She tells Dusty that she thinks he's lost himself, and that he should do whatever he can to find himself, even if he has to walk through fire to do it... She gives Dusty a kiss and walks out...

It looks as if Meg is FINALLY becoming the independent woman who doesn't need a man and his money.......or is it really "as IF" She tells Dusty she's gonna get a job, raise Eliza on her own at the farm until she can afford her own place and even uses Emma as an example but her eyes say "wishy washy"'when she's with Paul. Yeah Meg we know you love Paul but can't be part of his life. So Paul has to be with Eliza on neutral ground. Poor conflicted Meg should just let the lawyers talk instead of herself or Dusty oh but then we'd have no story! Not only do we have Paul analyzed we have to be reminded TWICE how Dusty has a savior complex . It is getting tiresome with Meg, Paul, Dusty and Josie explaining everyone else's motives. Do the actors need reminding what their motivation is or is this for the viewers who evidently tune in only once a week? Josie made the most sense but of course she's too sane for Oakdale so she has to leave. So now Josie is as fed up as we are and is motivated to leave town! At least by the end Dusty finally seemed more human and less caveman and Meg and Paul finally settled things so hopefully now tptb can give Dusty a life, get Meg a career and Kristen Connelly, wish ya the best of luck! Oh yeah about Katie. I can't stand the way she's deceiving Brad! She could be honest with him and still get her way. HELLO! If she wants to have a baby SO BAD and get fertility tests done since its HER body as she told Margo and disagrees with Dr. Bob's diagnosis can't she just GET A SECOND OPINION? As idiotic as this baby making frenzy is, I think Henrienna works better because V and H were both completely honest in the end and Henry is actually worried about being a bad role model for a kid. But Katie......

Rich, the way the writing is going, I have absolutely no faith that Paul and Meg have "settled" things. For one thing, Paul isn't happy with the fact that he's got to have supervised visitation in a neutral setting, so that's not gonna last. And Dusty's gonna keep sticking his nose into that whole mess, so any chance at all of Meg settling down and acting rationally is going to go out the window. ![]() I'm curious as to what the "neutral" visitation area is going to be. IMO that's going too far, I mean, couldn't Paul see Eliza at Fairwinds with a court appointed supervisor there? Wouldn't everybody be more comfortable?

I really get a kick out of the ads that come up. This topic is "Chief Bottle Warmer", and the ads have to do with baby bottles. The one I saw featured a baby bottle sling. Too funny. Maybe that's all that Meg needs and she can get rid of both Paul and Dusty.

The show didn't do much for me yesterday. I'm sick of the Katie pregnancy stuff. Been there, done that. It definitely appears that Peg aren't finished. As for the neutral visitation site, I'm not sure if the show will be authentic, or not, but my sister's step daughter has supervised visitation with her mother at a visitation center. There are all kinds of rules - each parent arrives at a separate time and stuff like that, so that they don't run into each other. I doubt ATWT will take it that far. |

Linda, maybe we should overnight that bottle cling/carrier to Meg... ![]() Karen, I'm with you about whether or not the show will go that whole route. I know it happens IRL, but guess it wouldn't be real dramatic on the show? Anyway, I still keep wondering what Paul really did that was so wrong that he should have such harsh restrictions.

Well I'd say what Paul did that was so wrong is cut the power at the Lakeview, which that alone is illegal, and then took Eliza from Meg and took off out of state with her. Was he really planning on returning? We'll never know but then he put her in a situation where she got kidnapped. I think it would be easy to wonder if Paul wouldn't take off with her again if he got unsupervised visitation and if it was at Fairwinds, it wouldn't be that hard with his history to orchestrate something to get rid of who ever was supervising so he could take off again. It was easy for him to talk Barbara into meeting Meg at the Lakeview which set the whole thing in motion for him. He could easily do that again. He's proven he can't be trusted. I'm sorry that Josie is gone. I really wish they would think about bringing her back.I think Peg is far from over sadly. I just wish they would move Dusty out of their orbit before he gets destroyed any further by them like Craig and Rosanna did last year. I hate to FF Henry but this baby story is idiotic and not worth watching. |

I know this is off topic, and I don't know if it's the weather (it's snowing again here in the Cleveland area) or what, but watching Paul hold the baby just reminded me of my own kids (who are 6 & 8 now). I miss those chubby cheeks and the soft rolls of fat they had on their arms and legs, that soft baby scent and the smiles and giggles. Now they are "typical" brother and sister...either best friends or at each other's throat's. I'm so glad they love each other. Okay...I'm done .
