There's been a memorial service for Reg and it's over with. Noah, Luke and Kevin are walking out and Kevin offers to buy coffee for them, of course Luke spouts off about how phony Kevin sounds. :rolleyes Then he tells Kevin about how he thinks it's Elwood who sold Reg the drugs that killed him. He admits that he doesn't have any proof, though. Kevin says that Elwood's back in school and in fact is living in a dorm room that's across the hall from Kevin's. He says that he'll keep an eye on Elwood and let Luke and Noah know if Elwood's acting shady. Then he hands them some $$ for coffee. :shutup

Luke's still not satisfied, though, and decides that he's got to do something, so off he goes to Elwood's room. Somehow he gets in and starts looking around. He finds a piece of paper with "Got you covered. M" on it and sticks it in his pocket as the door opens and Elwood, Kevin and security walk in. :eek Luke believes that Kevin called Security on him, but I didn't see anything that made me think that was true. :hmm Luke's arrested and taken down to the police station. :pullhair

Noah shows up and can't believe that Luke did what he did, but even that doesn't make Luke see reality, he shows Noah the note he found and tells Noah he's got to find out who "M" is.... :smack

Margo's in the diner asking Casey questions about Reg's death, and behavior the night he died. Casey's not a fountain of knowledge, :devil and then to make things worse, Ali and Matt walk in. Casey immediately becomes brain dead and googly eyed and Ali is acting the same way, while Matt tries to ask her what she wants to eat, etc. :rolleyes Finally, Matt and Ali leave, it's time for Ali to go to work. She admits to Matt that she still has unresolved issues with Casey, but that she's got to work through them, and meanwhile, she enjoys hanging around with Matt. Matt goes down to the cafeteria for a cheese sandwich. :shutup

At the diner, Casey gets mad at Margo and takes off... :gaah

Jade's at Fashions shopping for a dress for a date with Casey when Lily walks in. She wonders if it will be awkward for Jade to date Casey, given that she used to go out with Adam, but Jade says nah.... Lily wonders how Jade's going to pay for the dress, and Jade quickly changes the subject and gets Lily to go try on a dress of her own. :waiting

Emily walks in and Jade rushes over to her and demands money. After all, she's done her job, AND, Emily sure doesn't want Jade to tell Casey that she paid Jade to mess up his lovelife with Ali, right? :hmm So Emiliy shoves some cash at Jade.... Then Emily goes over to Memorial and starts asking Ali about her relationship with Casey. Ali says that there IS no relationship, there never WAS a relationship, and especially now since Casey had sex with Jade! :eek Emily's shocked of course... She heads straight over to Lily's to ask Jade what's going on. Jade cops an attitude and demands more money. Just then, Casey walks up and sees Emily giving Jade the cash and asks what's going on... Jade and Emily make up a story, which is really :lame and then Emily leaves.

Casey tells Jade that he's busy tonight and won't be going out with her... He leaves, and of course, Jade is not happy... :shutup

Noah's found Casey at the hospital and shows him the note from "M" and asks if he has any idea who "M" could be.... Casey says he'll see what he can do. After Noah leaves, Casey finds Matt in the drug room.... Matt makes up a story, but Casey is suspicious, and wonders if the "M" stands for Matt... :hmm

Lily shows up at the police station and can't believe what Luke's done. He won't back down, though, and Lily says that she'll do what she can to get him out. Margo says there's nothing she can do, but just then Elwood walks in and says that if Luke apologizes, Elwood won't press charges. Luke says it's not going to happen, and everybody :rolleyes at how bullheaded Luke's being. Noah walks up and tells Luke that it's not fair that because he's sticking up for his principles, everybody who cares with him is running around in circles. So Luke reluctantly, very reluctantly, :lol apologizes, and Elwood says he won't press charges. :shutup

Jade goes to the hospital to track down Casey and finds him still in the drug storage room. She wants to have sex with him there, but he pushes her away and rushes out.... :hmm

Alison's on another break and she and Matt are at Yo's drinking soda and are in the middle of a kiss when Casey walks in. They don't see him, and he stares again at the note from "M" and rushes out... :rolleyes

Noah and Luke are at Java and Noah's pleading with Luke not to do anymore stupid stuff. Luke says that trying to find out who killed Reg isn't stupid, and Noah says no, but the way you're doing it is... :lol :lol Kevin walks up and insists that it wasn't him who called Security on Luke.... Luke still doesn't trust him, and later, Noah tells Luke he's being paranoid. :waiting

Well, today was not a good show, for me anyway. The scenes with Margo/Casey and Matt/Ali at the diner were just ludicrous and really poorly done... :smack

Luke's behavior was ridiculous and Noah has the patience of a saint. :shutup

Anything to do with Jade is worthless as far as story... :gaah

I'm trying to remember how many camera shots there were of that stupid note today... way too many, for sure. :waiting

I actually loved today. All the characters I'm sick of were not on. It was good to see Kevin again. I love hyper, impulsive Luke. There's no way to get in trouble if you think too carefully about everything. With his parents, he's bound to make plenty of mistakes.

I think they "want" us to think Matt is a bad guy.

Emily has become rather pointless. I didn't like her with Casey but since they killed that story she has had nothing to do.

I was both frustrated and amused with Luke's behavior today. :hmm I did have to wonder about his Snyder-ness - maybe that whole argument about nature vs. nurture is being played out in our boy Luke? Noah DOES have the patience of a saint when Luke's like this... :shutup

I am really hoping Matt isn't a jerk... :fingers :fingers :fingers :fingers

Jade was and remains a skank. There, I said it. :devil

Casey is a doofus but I'm rooting for him anyway. :lol I'd LOVE for him to be part of the Scooby gang :wink that figures out who killed Reg, because it sure as he** isn't going to be the Oakdale PD. :biggrin :wink

As for Emily... I'll just say that whatever Patty is thinking about Ms. Stewart, I'll double it :devil

Lily showed a remarkable amount of calm when shopping for slinky, sexy dresses with her niece. I'd find that awkward even if in a purely funny way. Or maybe that's just me?

Previews looked interesting... :hmm

Comparing WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY episode....THURSDAY just put WEDNESDAY to shame.

This soap opera is going to have to start mixing things up or it will definitely (FOR ME) to just only watch ONE GANG of CHARACTERS and passing on the OTHER GANG. And it is not the ACTORS it is DEFINITELY the WRITING.

Anni, I wouldn't have been uncomfortable about shopping for slinky dresses with my neice. :biggrin I guess that since Ann and I have been sharing "intimate" thoughts, :lol :lol :lol for quite awhile, Lily and Jade seemed normal to me. But, I'm with you, Jade is a skank. :clap :clap

And yeah, where is Patty when we need her? :devil

I thought the show was awful. The writing was horrendous. Once again we have a mystery about a character that most of us have no investment in. What did we see him, twice? So why should we care? And I don't like what they are doing with Luke.

I had really enjoyed Casey and Alison but they have pretty much destroyed that with the awful writing.

Emily was just awful. I don't think they know what to do with her anymore. I won't be surprised if she exits this year.

If we count the episode in which he was killed, it's actually 4 episodes. :lol

1st: Reg and Tony invite Luke and Noah to go party at a lake house.
2nd: When Luke and Noah are on a break, Reg tells Luke he's interested in him.
3rd: At the beginning of the election storyline.
4th: When he was killed.

His boyfriend Tony is the one we saw only twice. That first episode and the episode with Cyndi Lauper.

The problem with Emily is she's too strong a character to be just a catalyst for other stories like Jade and Alli. She's much more intersting when she is taking action like maybe investigating a story for the Intruder. If the only kind of stories for Emily tptb want to do relate to romance then they need to bring in a new love interest asap or I'm afraid she'll be switched to recurring status, or off contact! :cuss

While its great to see Luke in a story that's different for him, not focused on gay rights his reckless attitude reminds me so much of the rigged election. He has this compulsion to fight at all costs for something without considering the consequences. While I'm not liking this Luke I feel tptb have explained his transformation when he describes Reg as "one of us" and how he needs to do this for him. No matter what the cause Luke has an activist nature which ends up with him speaking his mind with no diplomacy. Of course activists don't make good private detectives 'cause they gotta find their information discreetly without any mess to clean up later. :smack I think patience is what Luke needs but I'm not sure if tptb have any with this SL! :pullhair

So, minutewise, then, how many do those 4 shows add up to for him? :shutup :lol

The worst part of this murder mystery is there's no backstory for Reg. If this were a movie or any procedureal drama in primetime we would have some background info about his past. All we know is he had an ex boyfriend who did drugs. Now maybe if the keystone cops of Oakdale would track down the dealer Tony used or uses then they could find how Reg got his. Unless of course Matt is supposed to be a dealer. He wouldn't have been in town long enough for anyone to reveal anything. :pullhair

We did know Reg was President of the gay and lesbian group at Oakdale U. He used to date Tony. He always seemed to have a crush on Luke. And he helped with Luke's campaign.

But I do agree, if they wanted anyone to care about the mystery they should have at least showed Reg a few more shows before his death. If you missed his previous episodes and the day he died, you won't even know who everyone is talking about.

And even though I think he's innocent, Elwood, another forgotten minor character is the prime suspect.
