Casey tells Margo his suspicions about Matt and Alison defends Matt to Margo. Margo tells Ali she can leave, and then gives Casey 1 hour to get some proof against Matt.  Tom comes home and Margo tells him what kind of trouble Casey's into now. Tom tells Margo she should deal with this just like it was some other kid, so, what does she do, but get an officer to come to the house and search the entire place. Then she and Tom go off to find Casey and "bring him in".   Casey's called Jade and they meet. He asks her if Matt fell for the setup and Jade said no, mainly because Ali came in and busted her. Jade also tells Casey that Matt said that setting people up works both ways... Meanwhile, Ali's gone back to Matt and told him that Margo was going to be talking to him, and Ali thinks that Matt should go talk to Margo on his own first. So Matt and Ali go to the police station and just after they get there, Margo, Tom and Casey walk in. When Casey sees Matt, he lands a couple of punches before he gets pulled off... After things calm down a little bit at the police station, Margo's left with a he said, she said situation. Then the officer who was doing the search at Margo's house walks in. He's got a baggy with money in it, that he found in Casey's room. Casey admits that it's his...  Katie, Brad, Vienna and Henry are supposed to be having a get together to play cards at The Lakeview. Vienna's upstairs and finds the pamphlet about vasectomies that Henry got. She starts yelling at him, Katie doesn't really know what's going on, but eventually Vienna lets the cat out of the bag and then Katie learns that Brad was also checking out vasectomies. She leaves in a snit, and Brad goes after her... Henry and Vienna start playing War, and sniping back and forth at each other about the desire to have a child... :sleep Brad gets home and finds Katie collapsed on the floor, bleeding, and in pain. She passes out and Brad picks her up and carries her to the hospital. He calls Vienna and Henry who rush over. The doctor comes out of Katie's room and say that she had an ectopic pregnancy and ruptured her fallopian tube. She's lost a lot of blood and needs surgery. Brad asks how this happened and the doctor says that it's common in women who take fertility drugs!  Vienna tells Brad that she's not surprised that Katie would be taking fertility drugs, because Katie never stopped wanting to get pregnant. Brad's had it and walks off.... Vienna tells Henry that she didn't know Katie was taking fertility drugs, but she did know that Katie stopped using her diaphram. She tells Henry that the desire to have a baby is a strong thing... Henry says, "Yes, and look what it did to Katie..." Casey admits to Tom and Margo that he got the money betting on a horse. It was the first time he'd gambled and it made him sick and he's over that. But of course he doesn't still have the winning ticket. Margo tells Casey he can't leave yet. Matt's given his statement and leaves and Jade comes in. She tells Margo that yes, Casey asked her to try and buy drugs from Matt, and no, Matt didn't sell them to her, but that was because of Ali. She also tells Margo what Matt said about things "going both ways". Margo feels slightly encourged, but realizes she still needs proof... Katie wakes up after surgery. Brad's at her side, and tells her what happened. She starts crying and says that she only wanted them to have their baby... Brad tells her that he can't stand to think of life without her and she can't ever do this to him again....  Jade comes to the police station to talk to Casey and tells him that maybe Matt's innocent after all, and maybe Reg had gotten the drugs someplace else. Casey isn't listening to that, and asks Jade to help him. She says that she's done.... Ali's at the hospital, trying to understand how she feels and why, when Matt comes in and tries to comfort her. Matt is back in good guy mode, and says he likes being her friend. She tells him not to let her screw it up... They kiss....  a friendly kiss at first, but then Ali moves in for another one.... and another one... Margo's whining to Tom about how she hates to have to do this to their son.... Tom says Casey has to start taking responsibility for his choices. Then an officer walks in with a tox report on the drugs from Casey's backpack. They're identical to the ones that killed Reg. Margo and Tom go into the interrogation room and Margo gives Casey the news. And then she places him under arrest! Jade's there, too, and reminds Margo what Matt said about payback going both ways. Margo says that considering Jade's history, her word doesn't mean much. Jade tells Casey that she changed her mind - she's not done, she's going to do what she can to help him.I really don't get Margo's attitude toward Casey. She really, really, really expects the worst from him. Also... when Brad brought Katie to the hospital, a nurse showed him right into a room, an exam room, I guess. He put Katie on the bed and then the nurse says the doctor will be there soon and Brad has to leave the room. He wants to stay in the room with Katie, but the nurse says, "do this for her..."  So now Katie's in the room alone, unconscious, bleeding, and Brad's out in the hall looking in through the window.

Not surprising that Katie had medical issues because of the fertility treatments. Terri gave a heartfelt performance when she was in the hospital asking Brad to forgive her, crying that she thought she was healthy enough etc. It was Terri that made me sympathize with Katie in the moment but I'm still so mad at Katie's stupidity. Looking at previews it looks like her carelessness is gonna cost her, she'll no longer be able to conceive a child! Meanwhile Casey's becoming a career criminal and Jade is his savior because she's the only one who believes him! Looks like a way to prop up Jade but it could get interesting if she goes to Emily for help.

Barb, I found it extremely odd that he nurse told Brad to leave when there was nobody in the room with Katie  I guess that was the ER for the day even though it doubles as the psych ward  I still didn't feel for Katie because she really brought this on herself. I did however like Brad better. I like when Austin shows a more serious side than always so goofy. The whole story with the drugs etc. is beyond stupid. There was no way Margo could directly connect the drugs to Casey since so many people have had them in their possession and doesn't she know that? And couldn't she have easily verified that Casey was in fact gambling and that is where the money came from? I hate that Casey is constantly screwing up and he is, but in this case it was just stupid. |

The writers tried to give an explanation for Margo's actions when Tom asked her if she came up with any other leads and she said no. So she's arresting Casey because no other options. I'm thinking, wait a minute, did you ask an other friends of Reg or Tony or family members or other known drug dealers in town? Is Casey the OPD's ONLY connection to drug dealing? Its like tptb were desperate to get Casey arrested and this was all they could think of!

Brad should have brought Katie to the ER, period. That whole scene with the nurse was beyond idiotic. I liked Brad a lot, despite that gap. Once Katie told him the truth, I felt bad for both of them. I'm soooooooooo perturbed at how Casey is being written that I want to throw something at the TV half the time. Margo and Tom's reactions were great but Margo should NOT be the officer in charge of this case. |
