Advanced Member Posts: 29,326 Group: Members Member #2 Joined: August 31, 2008	Katie's doctor tells Brad the results of Katie's latest tests: they had to remove the ruptured fallopian tube, and the other is pretty much blocked due to scar tissue. The chances of Katie getting pregnant, what's more carrying to term, are slim to none. So then Brad breaks the news to Katie, who of course is heartbroken, since ever since she was a little girl, she wanted to be a mom. Brad tries to comfort her, but she just wants to be alone... Vienna comes to see her, bringing flowers, and tells Katie that there IS a way Katie and Brad could have 'their' baby... Vienna could carry it for them. Craig shows up at Carly's door to tell her that they're having a launch party for Midnight Sun, to interest buyers, and it's that night at Metro. Carly insists she can't do it, short notice, nothing to wear, but Craig gets his way. But then his babysitter calls. Her own daughter is ill and she has to leave early, so that means Carly would have to do the shindig on her own. (Hellooooo! How about having Johnny's other dad watch him?) Anyway, Parker walks in and Craig decides that Parker would make a great sitter. Originally Carly's against it, but in the end she agrees, but warns Parker, no booze, no headphones, do his homework.... Craig hands Carly some cash for a new dress, it's business, and he and Parker take off, and Carly goes to Fashions to buy a dress.... Barbara's at the farm playing grandma. Dusty shows up with some stuff of Meg's that she left at his place. He's short with Meg, and Barbara picks up on it. She's happy, of course, for Paul's sake... In a flash, Barbara's leaving, and Meg heads over to the Lakeview, to Dusty's suite. She tells him she still wants to hang out with him, and wants them to have a friendship where they're both on equal ground... so she's taking him to lunch and they can't talk about Paul, Craig or Johnny. Dusty laughs and says maybe they should see a movie instead... Barbara goes straight to Fairwinds after leaving the farm, and gets an eyeful - a naked Paul and a naked woman, wrapped up together on the couch! Paul gives Barbara the bum's rush, and then tells the woman, Ashley, to get dressed, they're going to lunch. Vienna makes a moving argument to Katie about why she wants to be a surrogate for Katie and Brad. She loves Henry with all her and wants to have his baby, but he doesn't want babies, so if Katie lets her be a surrogate, Vienna can experience being pregnant and giving birth, and have a little godchild to spoil and love, and Katie and Brad could have their own baby. Katie is so moved, overcome with emotion, that Vienna would make such an offer... Brad walks in and can see that Katie's not in as bad a place as she was earlier. He's so happy when she tells him she loves him, and goes to get Katie signed out so she can go home. Vienna tells Katie that she'd understand if they wanted to use a different surrogate, but Katie tells Vienna, "when you and Henry got married, I never thought it would work, but now, I can't think of anybody else I'd rather have carry our child." Vienna tells Katie it's up to her now... Meg and Dusty are getting ready to have lunch at The Lakeview when Craig, Parker and Johnny walk in. Johnny runs over to Dusty for a hug and some father/son talk... Just then, Paul and Ashley also walk in, Paul makes sure they walk right in front of Meg, who notices them, of course. Especially when they sit down on a little couch and start making out. Parker walks over to them to say hi, and Paul at least manages to look embarassed. He tells Ashley she can go.... later, Paul gets a chance to have a few words with Meg, but nothing much comes from the conversation, so looks like Paul's going to have to come up with something besides Ashley to get to Meg. Later Paul tells BArbara that he thinks he got Meg jealous when she saw him with Ashley... Barbara thinks Paul's going about this all wrong... Dusty and Meg are talking, as friends.... Dusty says that it still hurts that he doesn't have Johnny with him. Meg says he can join her and Eliza whenever he wants, and leaves for the farm. Downstairs, Dusty finds something on the floor. One of Johnny's toys... Carly's paying for a dress at Fashions when Barbara walks in and worms it out of Carly about Midnight Sun, and Craig as a partner. BArbara tells Carly she's crazy to have anything to do with Craig and gives Carly a lecture, then tells the sales clerk that she's sure Carly's changed her mind about buying the dress. But nope, "ring it up" says Carly.... Later, Carly's at Metro putting final touches on things when Craig walks in with some vodka samples. Not the vodka they're going to sell as Midnight Sun, but who cares... it's vodka. He's headed home to get dressed. Carly's worried because people are going to start showing up soon, and she doesn't want to be on her own. Craig says he'll be back soon, and he knows she can handle it. He leaves and Carly tosses back some liquid courage. She needs even more of that liquid courage when the guests start to arrive and Craig is nowhere in sight. They want to talk about Midnight Sun, but Carly says they should taste first, and then talk. Craig opens the door to his suite and standing there is somebody who we don't see... Craig snarls, "You've got a lot of nerve, coming back here!" Well, I was against this surrogacy thing, but wow, today, Vienna and Katie made a believer out of me. Those were some riveting, heart tugging scenes between the two women, really, some of the best stuff I've seen from them. Of course, Brad and Henry are still out of the loop, so you know things won't go smoothly, if at all, and if it does happen, I sure hope that the writers keep it at the par things were today. Paul and the woman he hired, Ashley, were stupid beyond belief! And anyway, why couldn't Paul just have hired the woman and shown up at the Lakeview with her to make Meg jealous, why did he have to actually have sex with her? And then to have Babs walk in on them... just I guess if you're a RH fan, you can at least be glad you saw him shirtless. Craig's mystery guest. Well, I can bet who it is... Craig's threatening to have the guest arrested... Previews showed Parker and Liberty making out and Janet and Sage walking in on them, so I guess Parker blows it again. Carly's drunk and later at home, drunk on her couch, Janet finds her that way.

Advanced Member Posts: 4,468 Group: Members Member #46 Joined: September 2, 2008	I was very impressed and moved by the scenes with Katie and Vienna - much much more than I was expecting to be. Actually, I thought today was one of Terri's best - she was really good. I can't say that I'm a huge fan of the surrogacy storyline, but after the scenes today, I'm much more interested in seeing how it plays out. Henry will have both Katie and Vienna to deal with, poor guy Carly is being written as stupid stupid stupid. And since Paul is even MORE so, maybe the 2 of them should be paired up Meg is an idiot. I liked Johnny and Dusty together Parker must be wondering to himself, "What is wrong with all of the adults in my life?!?" And it looks like we'll be seeing the fallout that most of us knew would be coming with him - when your parents and extended family are screwed up, it's hard to stay above water. Though, so far, I think he's been more typical-teen than crazy kid. I have a theory about Craig's guest but have stayed spoiler free for a few weeks, so I'm not sure if I'm right or not. And, oh goody, Judgmental Janet gets more weapons in her arsenal in her battle against Carly. GREAAAAAAAAAT

And I also like Parker and Craig in scenes together, I just always get the feeling that off camera they have a kind of bond going. And did you notice that Parker is as tall as Craig!

Advanced Member Posts: 17,843 Group: Members Member #6 Joined: August 31, 2008	I was very pleasantly surprised by the Vienna/katie scenes Both Terri and Ewa were really terrific. I've been so frustrated with Vienna for some time now. It just shows if they would only give some more depth to Vienna, Ewa can deliver. I would love for this trend to continue but I have my doubts unfortunately. I love Dusty with Johnny too and it was also great to see Dusty get a chance to smile and laugh for a change. I really loved the Carly/Barbara scene. There is so much history there! I would really like to see them have a story together like teaming up to take down Craig The Paul/hooker story was idiotic And yep it's not too hard to figure out who was at Craig's door.

Carly turning to booze and Paul to hookers when they both would need some sort of therapy. Makes me wonder is JP totally against psychotherapy or is she making some comment about how people seek the easy way out? Nah its just writers seeking the easy way out! With Carly we know where this is headed, but with Paul its more going around in circles with no character growth or resolution in sight.

Advanced Member Posts: 11,246 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: August 31, 2008	I knew this baby story was probably headed in this direction...but what irritated me the most....KATIE did jeopardize herself and her own ability of having a child without BRAD's influence....and now VIENNA and KATIE have practically decided on another solution...and AGAINS where is BRAD on this discussion?? AND HENRY??? CRAIG did not make any sense to me. He schedules a shin-dig and then has still left CARLY to fend for herself. As much as a successful businessman that THIS CRAIG tries to personify....he tends to look like a sad loser that can never make any $$$ without using someone. Then on the FLIPSIDE...CRAIG seems to just accept being a FATHER only because he defeated DUSTY. I wonder if ASHLEY and EMILY have worked together before??

If he respected her, he would count her in on the plans and not just expect her to be his beck and call girl. The one thing I give Katie a pass on is she did tell Vienna she wanted to decide first what she wants to do before she talks to Brad. I don't think she is sure yet about even taking up Vienna on her offer so I can understand her wanting to figure out if it is something she wants to even consider first. After he just learning she can't have kids, I can see her not wanting to rush into this and also to let Brad deal first with what happened. Then as Vienna pointed out, this affects Brad greatly and he needs to be part of the decision especially since he would be part of the process.
