Turns out that Craig's mystery guest is Lucy! She's come back to town because she wants to make peace with her dad. Craig isn't very forgiving or welcoming, but finally does say he'll take her down to the police station and she can see if the charges against her can be dropped.Janet and Jack are looking forward to making out at the movie they're planning on taking Sage to. Well, at least to mentally making out... But Jack gets called in to work so Janet and Sage go by themselves. Turns out the case Jack's called in on involves Craig and Lucy... ![]() Meanwhile, Parker's taken Johnny to the diner for something to eat. Liberty walks in and suggests that they go to a movie. Parker things that he'd better stick to the plan, but then Dusty walks in with the little toy train that Johnny dropped at The Lakeview. Johnny's overjoyed to see his other daddy, and Dusty asks Parker to give him some time alone with Johnny. Parker doesn't think he should, but Dusty plays the Jennifer card, as in "Jennifer would want this", so Parker agrees and he and Liberty go to the movie. And of course, start making out. ![]() Carly's still trying to hold down the fort with the prospective buyers, but things are getting out of hand as she drinks more and more. She calls Craig, but there's no answer, and next she has to go vomit... when she walks out of the bathroom, all the prospects are gone... She sits down and puts her head on the table... Once Craig gets Lucy to the police station, he tells Jack to go ahead and press charges against Lucy for kidnapping. Lucy can't believe her ears, but Craig says now she knows how he felt when she took Johnny.... Craig leaves and Jack tells Lucy he has no choice but to book her. Craig finds Dusty and Johnny eating ice cream at the diner, and that doesn't make him happy, nor does the fact that Parker left Johnny with Dusty to begin with. Craig at first thinks that Dusty and Lucy are in this together, but Dusty is totally surprised to hear that Lucy's back in town. Craig gloats that Lucy is at the police station right now, getting arrested! Dusty takes off... ![]() Craig calls Carly, who can barely talk, and tells him to go to hell... Craig grabs Johnny and they head over to Metro, but nobody's there! ![]() At the movie theatre, Janet and Sage walk in and see Parker and Liberty making out! Apparently Janet and Sage are at the wrong Dakota Fanning movie, the PG13 one... Sage is busy mouthing off to Parker and watching the action on the movie screen while Janet is busy separating Parker and Liberty and asking where in the hell Johnny is. Parker tells her that Johnny's with Dusty, and Janet tells them both to go find Dusty and hope that Craig doesn't kill them... Sage wonders if they can stay at this movie... Janet looks at the screen and covers Sage's eyes and says no way, we're going to the right movie... ![]() Parker and Liberty go to the diner, but there's no sign of Johnny, so they head over to The Lakeview. They go up to Craig's suite, but nobody's there, so as they get off the elevator in the lobby, they run into Craig and Johnny. Craig's just spoken to the desk clerk about getting a sitter up in the room for Johnny.... when he sees Parker he lets him have it with both barrels and tells him to get out of his sight! Carly's made it home and passed out on the couch. Janet and Sage show up. Janet covers for Carly, telling Sage that Carly's just tired, and that Sage should go upstairs to bed. So, Sage does, although she thinks things are kind of weird.... Janet manages to get Carly awake enough to tell her what happened tonight at Metro. Janet feels really sympathetic to Carly, and takes her into the kitchen for some water. In there, Carly gets emotional and tells Janet that she's the salt of the Earth, a true, blue pal, and gives her a big hug! Janet sends Carly upstairs to shower and brush her teeth. When Carly comes down, Janet gives her some of her special sobering up concoction. Carly goes into the kitchen to get more and that's when Jack walks in. Janet covers for Carly with Jack, saying Carly's upstairs in bed, she was exhausted, and that Sage is in bed, too, so they can go home... Carly's in the kitchen and hears Janet keeping Carly's secret. Jack's a little confused, but goes with Janet. At the farm, Janet tells Jack about finding Parker and Liberty at the movies, but manages to not say anything about Carly being drunk. Jack says she's a saint, and Janet says no, but she does pray to one... St Margaret, patron saint of single mothers. She's so familiar with her, in fact, that she calls her Peggy.... ![]() Craig gets to Carly's. She tells him about what happened, and is angry, then he tells her that Lucy showed up, and that kind of changes Carly's attitude toward Craig. They talk some, and Craig says he'll understand if she doesn't want to be in business with him. Carly says she'll give it another chance, and Craig leaves, promising that nothing like this will happen again. Carly closes the door after him, muttering, "fat chance..." ![]() Dusty shows up at the police station and gets Lucy off by saying that Jack doesn't have a case, because at the time that Lucy took Johnny, Johnny was in Dusty's custody, and Dusty isn't pressing charges against Lucy. Furthermore, Dusty says that Lucy took Johnny at his request. Jack pretty much throws up his hands in disbelief but tells Lucy to leave... outside, she thanks Dusty, who isn't sure how he feels about her being back in town... he does know that he's glad she kept Johnny safe, but not happy that he missed out on so much time with the kid... Let's say that Maura West plans a really funny drunk. Janet was really kind with her, and we saw glimpses again of the friendship those two could have. |

You're so right, that's exactly what I was thinking. And even though Carly was drunk, I find she's much more herself with Janet than she is with Lily, so I was kinda wishin' things were a little different, and these two had a friendship going. Also, I found it quite interesting how Craig can act quite normal, and then all of a sudden, you see the really hateful, scary side of him - like when he was with Lucy and when he blasted Parker. I think he's doing a really great job. In my opinion, if a villain type character can you make you feel both emotions - love and hate - then he's working it right. |

I enjoyed today's show for the most part. Craig is an a**hole and I hated him from start to finish I have ZIP sympathy for him and Carly was right to quote Barbara's warning - everything and everyone he touches gets destroyed. That being said, the actor playing Craig (I've totally spaced on his name, Jon something...) did a fabulous job!One thing that particularly bothered me about how Craig behaved today was that he expected someone else to cover his back, so to speak, without being (1) communicative when things went off schedule and (2) kind before things got screwed up. He's completely narcissisistic (spelling?) and selfish. ALL he had to do with Carly, for example, was give her a quick call to let her know that Lucy was in town and he was tying up some lose ends with her. Considering the utter grief and guilt he piled on Carly about their business meeting the day of Sage's play, he has some pretty big brass ones to treat everyone, ESPECIALLY Carly, like they are all the hired help. I really really liked Carly today - for one thing, Maura showed signs of her comic brilliance that we so rarely get to see. Her subtle drunkeness was perfect - not too over the top. And I thoroughly enjoyed her and Janet, who, for once, didn't jump to conclusions and saw things for what they really were. Hopefully this episode clues her in to the utter scum that Craig is and why she, Carly and Jack need to steer clear of him. Parker - I do like this kid and I absolutely loved how he tried to reason with Dusty but was so clearly caught in his own emotions about Jennifer Dusty was a pig to work him like that but I didn't mind as much as I probably should have. And Parker standing up to Craig - Craig wasn't listening to any reason, of course. Dusty and Johnny never even left the diner and Dusty totally took the entire blame off of Parker. Have I mentioned that I think Craig is a ???And yes, Barb, I've noticed that Parker is TALL! Jeeez! He's grown soooooo much in the past 2 years, my goodness! Janet and Sage were good today, too - and I burst out laughing when they were in the movie theater ![]() Jack looked soooooooo confused at the police station with Lucy, Craig and Dusty that I just shook my head at those scenes. No clue what Dusty thinks Lucy is going to be able to do about getting him some time with Johnny... What is it with him and Craig and their complete stupidity??? No wonder Lucy keeps gravitating towards Dusty - he fulfills her Daddy Complex to a 'T.' |

PARKER has finally been given better material that I may stop labeling him a wet noodle. If only THIS will continue. If CARLY does not snap out of this drinking phase...maybe this will be the perfect way to have PARKER step forward...and also more SAGE. JANET was very tolerable today!! CRAIG is worse than any of the comments I have heard described. CARLY was funny to watch. |

It was odd but not really surprising how cold Dusty was to Lucy after he sprung her from jail. I know too much has happened for him to forgive and forget. Lucy might still be drawn to Dusty but she won't get anywhere. Meg he can forgive and be friends with but it was Lucy who took Johnny and kept him away so long so both he and Craig have reason to treat her like crap. I don't think Lucy can repay Dusty by getting Craig to give him more time with Johnny. But if she does then her purpose would be served I guess and she'll be gone again from Oakdale. It was great to see the female bonding of Carly and Janet after seeing Katie and Vienna. Maybe tptb have discovered that great chemistry between friends can work just as well if not better than romance. Scenes like these could move the show in a new direction.

For a moment I thought Carly was going to pull Janet in for a kiss. I enjoyed the scenes between Maura and Julie!

GMTA I, too, was kind of holding my breath and gasping at the same time, thinking we might see a kiss between Carly and Janet.

I was pleasantly shocked, too, that we had 2 consecutive days of good female bonding (for lack of a better term) scenes. If only the writers would buy a clue and go with that kind of stuff.... ![]() Dusty and Craig are similar, it seems, in that for the most part they're both totally into themselves. With Dusty it's a little less obvious, but still there, none the less. I think that might make us a teeny bit more tolerant of their escapades, since both of them seem totally oblivious to the effect their actions have on others, most of the time.

That same thought entered my mind. I'm glad they didn't go there.

A Carly-Janet kiss - you know, the thought blipped through my mind as I watched the scene but I instantly figured it would NOT happen - that would have been interesting, though! To the writers for remembering that female friendships are compelling in drama, humor, and tragedy - it's when the women are all separated from each other that things go south and uninteresting. The show is blessed to have so many talented actresses, too, that it would be REFRESHING to see more of the friendships and all the stuff that goes with it. The show pays tribute (albeit, slightly) to the familial relationships between the females in the cast BUT when it comes to 'friendship,' the lazy writing has preferred to dwell on the hard feelings, hatred and anger. Clearly the last 2 days have shown otherwise. Even the exchange with Barbara and Carly at Fashions was well done Not that any of us were surprised, of course.Rich - I agree with you about Dusty and Lucy. You explained it well! And I also agree that Craig and Dusty are alike in more ways than either would like to admit and foremost in their methods is the utter lack of concern for other people. One sign of improvement, on Dusty's part, was how when Craig came upon him and Johnny in the diner, Dusty stood up and quickly moved away, with Craig, from where Johnny was sitting AND he tried to stay calm and quiet. 2 weeks ago that would not have happened. Dusty handled things with Craig pretty well, IMO, though he shouldn't have messed with Parker's head. |

CARLY & JANET kissing....never thought of it...no blips for me. BUT it would be a nice turn of events with the CARJACK/JANET triangular issues. I would draw the line with ONLY a KISS, though. Now that I have been re-playing this CANOODLING KISS between JANET and CARLY...I tend to bring in CRAIG and CARLY's latest liplock at the same time.
