Yes...thanks, Judy...I was going to come back and state my thanks for the information. I have started to tire of the Daytime Emmys. When PRE-NOMs started to be the way the system works for soap operas I have even lost MORE INTEREST in these awards. But my love of ATWT does wish the best for all whom still tries to achieve some acknowledgement of the work that they have performed. |

I'm thrilled about Liz Hubbard. She was overlooked a few years ago even though TV Guide named her the best actress in all of soaps. I'm glad Van made it into supporting. |

I'm very happy Liz Hubbard got a nomination but for her amount of air time, I think she belonged more in supporting. The problem though is other than Maura the show doesn't have another strong lead actress without Martha. I'm especially excited for Maura, Michael and Mick

Judy, I think Liz H. made the most of just about every minute she was on screen which, as you pointed out, wasn't much... Her scenes with Brian and Luke were among the best of the show's all last year, IMO. She's such a talented actress and seems to have great chemistry with the other actors whether they're in a scene for a few minutes or an arc over several days/weeks. I think the show lost a lot when they let Martha go  I'm very happy for all of the ATWT nominees!!  The show has a very talented cast that needs better and more consistent writing. I know I've heard or read this before but can someone explain to me how the prelim Emmy nominations are made by each show? Without asking dumb questions I know someone on this board does? Thanks. I promise to retain it this time. |

I don't know the exact process but the people at the show vote on who gets pre-nommed. I don't like it because what if ATWT had the 3 or 4 best actors in a category during the year. Maybe it's not likely but neither is the all shows are equal and have equally talented actors concept. |

Last question. By the people on the show does that mean other actors, writers, EP, or all of them select the prelim nominations? It just seems such an arbitrary process & confusing as well. |

Now that Van has aged into the supporting actor category, I hope Billy or Mick could get a chance at an Emmy in the younger actor category. Both of those guys are so talented and have such a natural approach to acting. Marni and Meredith are also natural talents. Hope all four make it to the final ballot.
