Vienna's already at Fashions trying on maternity tops and calls Katie to come down and check them out with her.  Neither woman has told their guys about the surrogate plan yet, but they both say they will...  Brad, meantime, has called Henry to come over and help him fill out forms to get started with adoption.... This way, he'll get a head start for when Katie's ready.... Then Katie comes home, Henry leaves, and Katie and Brad have a conversation about having their own child... eventually it comes out what each of them have in mind.  Brad's completely taken aback, and is worried that Vienna might change her mind and want to keep the baby. Katie says that they'll have all kinds of legal safeguards in place, and anyway, Vienna wouldn't do that.... Vienna's broken the news to Henry, who is absolutely opposed to the idea of Vienna being a surrogate.... even though Vienna starts babbling about how she can already feel the hormones rushing through her body, just at the thought of being pregnant, and tells Henry to imagine what being pregnant would do to her boobs... Henry keeps saying "no, no, no...." Luke and Noah have another in your face confrontation with Elwood. Well, Luke's in Elwood's face, anyway. Elwood just tells Luke that Luke is crazy, and Luke just keeps going on and on, spinning out a tale about how the police know that Elwood is guilty, and so is Matt...  Finally Elwood just leaves in disgust... Noah tells Luke he can't keep talking like this.... he loves Luke and doesn't want anything to happen to him.  Kevin comes in and Luke tells him about his "theory" about Elwood and Matt. Kevin listens intently... Casey and Ali get into an argument in the interrogation room because Ali won't listen to Casey about Matt. So, do prisoners now get to have their visitors come see them in the interrogation room, no cuffs, no supervision? Luke gets a call from Elwood. Elwood is ready to admit that he knows something about Reg's death and the drugs, but doesn't want to go to the police. Luke says that Elwood can tell HIM, and Luke will tell the police. They agree to meet at the bridge on Old Mill Road. Noah insists on coming with Luke, to keep him safe. But before they leave, Luke calls Alison and tells her that he's going to meet Elwood, and where. Luke says that she can tell Casey, but nobody else. So Ali does tell Casey, and he's hopeful.Then she goes to wait for Matt, they're supposed to meet at the diner for lunch. He's a little late, so she calls him, and blabs about Luke's plan to meet Elwood. Matt looks thoughtful, and says he'll see her later... Noah and Luke are waiting at the bridge for Elwood. They see him walking toward them and suddenly a gray car appears and runs Elwood off the bridge, he falls onto the rocks below... the car disappears and Noah and Luke climb down to Elwood and call 911. Margo shows up, too, and Elwood is dead.  Margo takes the guys to the station and questions them. They say the car is a gray suv, Noah remembers that the last 2 numbers in the plate are 94 and they tell Margo that the driver deliberately ran Elwood off the bridge. She goes to put the info out... Ali's waiting at the diner for Matt. First Mark, he who tried to rape Ali, and then tried to kill himself by jumping off the roof of the hospital, shows up. Get that name... M ark M ark ... He says he was locked up in a psycho ward but is doing better and is supposed to apologize to everybody he hurt, so he apologizes to Ali. There's something weird about Mark... Then Kevin walks in, and tells Mark that he got some kind of class schedule for Mark. They sit down, but then Kevin walks over to Ali and makes an awkward, lame apology for not being more concerned about what happened to her in the dorm room... something weird about Kevin, too. When Kevin sits down with Mark, Marks starts talking in a strange way about Ali and how he wonders if she has a boyfriend... there's something off about the two of the guys together... Matt shows up, out of breath, and says that his car was stolen! He hasn't reported it, being an ex-con and all.... but Ali insists that he go with her to the police station to report it.... Once they get to the station, Ali goes into the interrogation room to talk to Casey. She's surprised to see Luke and Noah there, too, and asks if they have good news. They say no, Elwood's dead! Then Margo walks in and says the car that hit Elwood is registered to Matt! Casey starts yelling that "I knew it!" but Ali says that Matt didn't do it, somebody stole his car.... she goes into the main part of the station and Matt is gone... Margo's talking to Luke, Noah, Casey and Ali, and it comes out that Ali told Matt about the meeting at the bridge. Margo asks Ali to stay behind, after Luke and Noah leave, she has a few questions for Ali. A frustrated, guilty Ali tells Casey that she was wrong, and he was right. Casey wants to give her a hug, but stops himself.... Brad and Henry finally both agree, although uneasily, to go along with the surrogacy plan, and Henry and Vienna show up at Brad and Katie's. The women hug and the guys look at each other, each looking kind of miserable. OK, I think we all know now who the "M" on the note is, right?  I'm not gonna come right out with it, but.... think about it.... I actually liked the way the Elwood thing played out today, other than the fact that Ali looks like a bigger idiot every day. I was back in the doubting corner today about the surrogacy storyline.

Oh man, Ali is either the most naive person in Oakdale or she is among the LONG list of clueless ones... Or both! Either way, she's going to be feeling all kinds of guilty about what happened to Elwood - and not necessarily undeservedly for a little while, too. Loose lips and all that... And Barb, I get your subtle hints about 'M'  but I still think that Ali's talking to Matt somehow produced the results to Elwood.Elwood was a creep but his ending was sad  I really don't want Matt to be a killer. Mark and Kevin were all kinds of creepy and 'off'. Mark definitely had the crazy look in his eyes. OK, the surrogacy stuff - both women were convincingly passionate about how they each felt about it. The men were equally reserved and negative, though it was awfully sweet how they both agreed at the end (of today, at least ) because of how their wives felt. This could actually be an interesting story, if only because the acting has been very well done by all 4 players so far.  Vienna has really been terrific in this. but the potential for it to spiral into a stupid mess is always there, lurking...  I hate having so little faith in the show... It was a Meg & Paul Free day, which gets bonus points from me The previews make me just want to throw something at my TV, though.  |

From the previews we can see that while Meg and Dusty get closer to gettng it on, Paul is closer to becoming a stalker! Glad Paul only saw Meg dressing. What would he do if he saw Meg and Dusty making out? While I see now that there is a possible "M" other than Matt I felt because of Kevin's twitches and smirks that he was the one who chased Elwood off the bridge. It would not surprise me if Kevin were dealing drugs and using Elwood as part of a network of dealers around campus. Mark could just be one of his customers since he did once o.d. I can see Kevin actually stealing Matt's SUV just to implicate him in order to cover for the real "M"as well as plant the drugs to set up Casey.

I think Kevin ran into Mark and innocently mentioned what Luke had told him. Mark then stole Matt's car and ran over Elwood. I don't think Kevin OR Matt have anything to do with it but are around to make this "mystery" seem like there might be other options. Did we see Elwood get hit? If we did I blinked and missed it. I don't care about the baby stuff. I'm all babied out on this show. |

So if the "M" is MATT or MARK...then ALI could still be seeing the GOOD in MATT...and LUKE could have been the one to tell KEVIN who told MARK who then made ELWOOD end up as fish food or at least a truffle for a turtle. LUKE is the BIG MOUTH here no matter what. |

From what I saw, Elwood wasn't hit, the car swerved at him and Elwood actually just kind of lost his balance or jumped, off the side of the bridge to avoid being hit.

One thing that keeps creeping into my thoughts...is that ELWOOD is not dead, yet. He sure looked it. I do assume that he is dead...but with LUKE being so OPEN and BOISTEROUS of what has transpired....I am going to keep wondering this until the funeral or something. I miss the little guy. |

I'm not sure if tptb planned something like that but the way it was filmed it looked to me like Elwood went on the ledge on purpose in order to jump rather than being forced by the SUV to jump. Maybe its just my judgement of the character that makes me think he could be likely to kill himself. Of course with Elwood dead, we'll never really know if it was murder or suicide.

Well, you may not know if it was murder or suicide, RichB but the idea that Elwood committed suicide just doesn't hold water with me. Of course, I may be eating my words, but....

I think it was supposed to be murder but it was filmed terribly so it looked more like he jumped I also loved Margo putting out an APP on a gray SUV before she ever had part of the plate. Like there's only one of those in Oakdale  Obviously Matt isn't guilty because they are making him look so guilty. Somebody suggested on another board that perhaps he is doing some undercover work? Now that could make an interesting twist.
