Paul's finishing up a supervised visit with Eliza, some woman is following him around. The part of the visit we see is him at the Old Town Mall, and running into Emily, who makes the usual snarky comments about Paul's "mental state". Both Meg and Lucy are finishing their shifts at Memorial, and Meg watches while Dusty shows up and starts quizzing Lucy about whether or not she's approached Craig about Dusty getting to spend time with Johnny. Dusty's his usual thug self, even grabbing Lucy's arm when she tries to walk away. You'd think that Meg would catch a clue, watching this, but of course not... ![]() Craig shows up at Carly's. She's planning an evening at home watching old movies, but Craig tells her that they've got another meeting with one of the guys from the other night. He says that he's lined up a babysitter from the hotel for a few hours, but Carly isn't satisfied with that, because what if the meeting runs late? She's not about to be left alone like she was the last time. She tells Craig that he should have Lucy babysit. Craig's not sure he can trust Lucy, but Carly convinces him that it's okay, so Craig goes ahead and asks Lucy to babysit. Of course, Lucy is thrilled. ![]() Paul brings Eliza back to the farm, and is very calm, very cooperative and nice. He walks in on Meg changing tops in the kitchen, and notices she's wearing earrings. She says she's meeting a friend, OK, the friend is Dusty, at the Lakeview for drinks to celebrate her first day back at work. Paul acts like he's not bothered by this, but he doesn't waste any time getting over to Emily's office and asking her to have dinner with him at The Lakeview. He tells her that he's determined to get Meg back, and he knows she still has feelings for him, so he wants to make her jealous. ![]() Carly gets to Metro first and is trying to keep things businesslike with the potential investor, Stan, but he's got other ideas... "Did anybody ever tell you what a beautiful mouth you have?" and then he grabs Carly and kisses her. She's struggling, and that's when Craig walks in and slugs the guy and tells him to get out, he's not doing business with him. Carly's shocked and asks Craig if he's sure he hasn't made a mistake. Craig says he's definitely sure, and aks Carly if she's okay. She says she is, and thanks him... Craig says that if they'd gone into business with that jerk, he'd have had to kiss Craig, too. ![]() Lucy hasn't wasted any time calling Dusty to come join her and Johnny. Dusty is happy at the idea, but says that he really doesn't want to sneak around to see Johnny. Lucy says they just have to give take their time with this. So Dusty, shows up and the fun starts... Lucy starts right in reminding Dusty about what they used to have between them, and how they used to talk about having a family. Now, here they are planing parent to a kid who isn't even theirs... ![]() Meg's sitting in the bar at the Lakeview waiting for Dusty when Paul and Emily walk in. They make sure to stop and talk to Meg, and act like they're on a date... later, Emily pulls Paul into a kiss. Meg gets a call from Dusty, saying he's sorry, but he has to get a raincheck on tonight. Meg assures him she's fine with that, then walks over to Emily and Paul and tells them to save it, their act isn't working on her, and she also makes a few nasty remarks about Emily's "reputation". She storms out and a gleeful Paul cackles, "It's soooo working!" ![]() Craig calls Lucy to see how things are going. She doesn't answer right away, and misses the call. Dusty says that Craig's going to be suspicious and think she took Johnny somewhere. Lucy agrees, and says Dusty should leave. He does, and then Lucy calls Craig, saying she was busy helping Johnny brush his teeth when Craig called. Craig says the meeting's over but asks if Lucy can stay awhile longer. She says sure... ![]() Craig pours some vodka for himself and Carly. After a few drinks, Carly says she's got to get home. Craig says they've got more work to do, and he'll make sure Carly gets home safely. Carly reminds him that he has a son waiting for him. She says she'll do some work on Midnight Sun at home by herself. Then she thanks Craig again for being the hero... Craig leaves and Carly picks up an opened bottle of vodka, to put it away, but ends up pouring some for herself, and drinking it, or rather, almost inhaling it.... ![]() Now Dusty shows up at the farm and forces himself into the kitchen, even though Meg tells him she's tired and on her way to bed. Dusty tells Meg why he cancelled on her. Meg asks him if Lucy was there the whole time and he says yes. Meg says oh, so everytime you want to see Johnny, you'll have to be seeing Lucy, too.... Dusty tells her she's jealous, and she denies it, but Dusty says he can prove it and pulls her to him and kisses her... ![]() Emily and Paul have gone to Fairwinds and are rehashing the evening and drinking. A lot... Emily spills booze on herself and immediately whips off her shirt and stands there in a leopard skin bra... Paul tells her she's hot, and she squirts him with seltzer... she asks Paul for something to wear and he pulls off his sweater. She puts it on and gets ready to leave. She says that next time she goes out with him, she's going to make sure she gets a dinner out of it. Paul asks her if she really wants to go out with him again and she says sure.... and that she hopes all of his efforts to win Meg back, work... ![]() Just how many times are the writers going to revamp this "meeting with potential investor goes awry" gimmick with Carly and Craig? Dusty is really being written as a caveman, and anytime he DOES try to do the right thing, there's Lucy or somebody else telling him not to, and excusing his bad behavior. Way to go, writers. ![]() I'd like to know what the rest of Paul's supervised visit with Eliza consisted of. Lucy asked Johnny to keep it a secret that Dusty was with them, but can he, I wonder? |

Thanks for the recap! I don't know if Johnny can keep this secret either - my guess is he can't. But I also don't think they should have done this if it meant Johnny had be involved in the silence. That's a lot of pressure to put on a little kid, not to mention in the "real world" we try and teach are children NOT to keep secrets, in case they're in trouble or something. So I'm not real happy about that whole thing. I think Paul and Emily should be back together. Now that, like she said, "she's over him" she's not all nutso around him and when he's with her, he's not all gushy mushy google-eyed and plain stupid, like he is around Meg. I like his light-hearted self which we seldom get to see. |

I agree about Carly & Craig. They've been doing the same scene over and over for weeks. I don't know if that's likely to change even after they do or do not do the deed. I don't HATE them, which is saying something given my track record with non-Carjack Carly couples, but I don't really find them interesting either. They're just plain boring, IMO. I feel like Carly's kind of lost her fire. Emily and Paul might as well be together too. I know it won't happen but it'd be kind of nice to see them together NOT scheming about something. |

I'm not sure Carly's lost her fire. Its just another mixing business with pleasure story that we've seen before with Carly and Simon. And another man taking advantage of Carly instead of staying strickly business. Carly would be so much stronger if she were independent business woman who takes no crap from anyone and who can handle a man who makes moves on her. Instead Craig punches this potential client when he tries to kiss her. So now he's her HERO and looking at previews one step closer to sleeping with her. Is this a contemporary program or one set in the sixties? What's interesting is Carly seemed more modern and had lots of spark in the scene with Janet which some thought could have ended with a kiss. I've seen enough of her with men romantic or otherwise and I like her better in scenes with girlfriends. Paul's antics are so infantile I'm starting to think that all his accidents eg.getting shot, rolling off a cliff, falling off a cliff, caused a brain injury that turned him into an adolescent. Sooooo Meg tells him she's not jealous and he thinks this means she's REALLY jealous and he's winning her back! When he said that I saw a twelve year old, not a thirty something man with a new baby! Now I understand why Emily is o.k. with hanging out with him. She prefers her men under 21 mentally or physically! I liked Dusty and Lucy scenes with Johnny especially when they played head shoulders, knees and toes. But every scene involving Dusty, Meg or Lucy seemed to be shot so we can wonder who will Meg choose Dusty or Paul? Who will Dusty choose Meg or Lucy? Can Lucy handle that Dusty likes Meg? It's soooo 8th grade at this point. Or maybe another case of tptb writing for the "new viewer" who needs the history rather than the loyal viewer who's totally fed up! I'm just glad Dusty made his feelings clear by the end of the show so we don't have to endure anymore! Or will we anyway?

Rich, you cracked me up with your comment about Emily liking her men with the mentality of a 12 year old. ![]() On a different note, I had the reaction to the head and shoulders knees and toes thing. Maybe I've been an empty nester too long.

The one thing I enjoy the most about an episode like Tuesday....is being able to see the HUMMINGBIRD with a GUN smiley back in use!!! Having EMILY as such a backburner character is so strange after her antics during the last few years. One of the GOOD THINGS when I see these types of characters staying front and center and then leaving the canvas for a while is hoping that the realization of how they are rotating in and out of storylines....but STAYING on ATWT makes them good team players. (And that is the ONLY way I want to view this....if there is a reality type issue concerning this I would probably NOT want to know anything about it). I do enjoy DUSTY with JOHNNY more. But another day of too much JOHNNY for me. As much as I love GRAYSON....I cannot figure out WHOM I would like for him to eventually settle down with....OR MAYBE I just do not want him to settle down. I think I am all for the following couples.... NUKE ALISON and CASEY CRAIG and CARLY (for a short stint) JACK alone DUSTY alone HENRY and VIENNA without a bump KATIE and BRAD because they tend to NEED being together KEVIN and MEG only if KEVIN is a good guy (This surprised you??? Right?) |

I agree with you on most couples. Sorry but Meg doesn't go for 'em young. I'd rather see Meg with Dusty as long as Paul and Lucy are out of the picture romantically. I feel Dusty can move on, not so sure about Paul or Lucy. Jack and Janet are fine. I'd rather see Carly alone. As far as Kevin, he should realize he's in love with Mark and they can ride off into the sunset!
