Poor little Johnny accidentally makes Craig realize that Lucy's been letting Dusty see Johnny, so Craig sets up Lucy by asking her to babysit Johnny and of course she arranges for her and Johnny to meet Dusty in his room, which she thinks would be safer... Craig walks into Dusty's room, behind the room service guy with milk and cookies, and really feels betrayed. And angry. Lucy keeps telling Craig that Dusty wanted to be out in the open with seeing Johnny, and it was Lucy who decided to keep it a secret. Craig gave a moving talk about how it would be a cold day in hell before he shared his son with Dusty Donovan, and that the whole time Lucy had been hiding with Johnny, Craig had not only been missing Johnny, he'd been missing Lucy. Lucy says that she's still his daughter, but Craig says, "I have no daughter." ![]() While all this is going on, Johnny's safely out of earshot, at a new park with Olga, the hotel babysitter. I have to say that I was fairly impressed with the little dude's acting today. ![]() While Carly's flashing back to having sex with Craig, Jack shows up, and tells Carly that the same boarding school where JJ goes has agreed to accept Parker mid-term, and they can use Parker's trust fund, some of it, to pay for it. Carly's shocked and taken by surprise and Parker, who's been listening in, flat out says he's not going, and he hates Jack and Carly. Then he takes off...Jack tells Carly that if she can come up with a better idea, let's hear it, but Carly says it isn't fair that Jack would expect her to come up with an idea on such short notice, but she doesn't want to be bullied by Jack into doing something without giving it a little thought. All the same, she eventually says she guesses they have to send Parker away. Jack says that the school's agreed to let JJ and Parker share a room.... ![]() Brad and Katie are at their kitchen table, looking at plans for a nursery when Liberty walks in. They tell Liberty about the invitro deal. Liberty's happy for them, but surprised that Katie's as cool with it as she says she is. Of course, you can see by Katie's expressions that she really isn't 100% cool. Then Janet shows up and tells Brad and Katie about what happened with Parker and Liberty. Brad starts to go "deal" with Parker, but Janet says that Jack's already done that, he's sending Parker to boarding school! Everybody's shocked and Liberty angrily leaves the house... Parker runs into one of his friends who asks him if he's looking forward to Ft Lauderdale. Parker says he would be, IF he was going. The friend tosses Parker his car keys and says to go ahead and use it while the kid's in Florida. Parker gets an and almost immediately runs into Liberty. He tells her that he's not going to boarding school, and he's got a car and they're going to take a road trip. Liberty is totally shocked, but when Parker says he loves her and asks her if she loves him, she says she does, and even though she'll miss it here, she can't stay in Oakdale without him... So each of them go home to get some money and plan to meet in a little bit and hit the road.Liberty finds Brad at home and you can see that she's having regrets about leaving town, but isn't going to change her mind... she tells Brad she's going to take a break from Parker and start hanging out more with girlfriends, starting now. Then she asks him for some shopping money, which he gives her, then she tells him she loves him and heads out. ![]() Parker's at HIS house. Carly's surprised and happy to see him back so soon, and tells him she wants only the best for him and loves him. Parker acts like he's gotten over the worst of his anger and lets Carly pull him into a hug. She says she'll cook him a farewell dinner with all of his favorites, just like she did when JJ left for school... She goes into the kitchen and Parker takes some money from her purse. Craig then shows up, and Parker goes upstairs. Craig can't believe it when Carly tells him Parker is really getting sent away to school. ![]() Lucy and Dusty are having a sad conversation about Johnny and how much Lucy misses him. Dusty says that he's got faith in his boy, Johnny, there's a bond between Johnny, Dusty and Lucy that won't be broken and that eventually they'll get to see him again. Lucy is despondent and Dusty puts his arms around her. ![]() Craig's telling Carly what happened with Lucy and Dusty today. Carly isn't in any mood to listen to his problems, especially since she disagrees with what he did. When Craig tries to give her advice on how to handle Parker, Carly says she's not listening to him, after all, he can't even manage to get along with his own daughter.... Craig then tells Carly that despite what Jack's trained her to believe, Jack isn't always right. ![]() Parker leaves, calling out that he's going to shoot hoops, and Carly tells Craig to get lost. He leaves, but first he says that the real reason she doesn't want to be alone with him is because she's afraid that what happened between them the other day, will happen again. ![]() After Carly's alone, she has some vodka. ![]() Parker and Liberty meet and Liberty says she got money from her dad, and that her dad's clueless, but she really hates that she didn't get to tell her mom good-bye. She asks Parker where they're going, and he says how about California. Just then Johnny runs up, with Olga right behind him. He'd like to go for a ride with Parker and Liberty, but Parker says maybe next time. As Johnny leaves, he looks at the license plate on the car, and says, "It says Boo Boo!" And sure enough, that's what the personalized plate says. ![]() While this is going on, Jack is telling Janet that he wonders if he made a mistake, and that Carly has doubts too. Janet, though, is not backing down, and doesn't let Jack, either. ![]() Meanwhile, over at Brad and Katie's, the fluffy one wants to have sex with Brad on the couch, but he pulls back, saying he's got to leave a "deposit" at the lab and thinks he should save his "stuff" for that... Katie gets her nose out of joint, feeling like a 3rd wheel, but Brad manages to bring her back to happyville, reminding her that he's doing this so they can have a baby. Previews showed that their families realize the teens are gone, and it looks like it's Lucy and I think Craig, are hot on their trail. ![]() We also see megathug, with Meg wondering if Dusty is "just not that into me..." (we could only hope )

Oh, we were kidding around in another thread about a couples name for Dusty and Meg, and I suggested megathug.

It looks from the previews that Parker and Liberty's trip is short lived. They could have had them run away for months but hard to film story set in California when they shoot on location in the NYC area. The running away is pointless anyway. This whole mess with Parker being sent away has more to do with Jack being unable to deal with a son who is a normal teenager than Parker being out of control. The fire and skipping school was just the excuse he needed. Jack admitting that he and Carly are not able to supervise them when that's what they need is bull! His comment actually shows the real truth, that Jack and Carly are too busy with their work or whatever to arrange more quality time with him. Parker is also more affected by this I think, than Liberty. The one advantage of sending Parker away is it allows for P and L to admit their love and gives a little Romeo and Juliet feel. But I think Parker's next move is a bit extreme. They showed on Friday looking ahead to this week that Parker decides to become an emancipated minor, just like his aunt Gwen!

I've been thinking about this Jack and sending Parker off to school, and while I think it's not the answer to the situation, I have started seeing how it's so much easier for an outsider (US) to see things clearly and come up with solutions that might actually work and certainly be less traumatic than sending the kid away. Which is why they should have family counseling. But I've also realized that this stuff really does happen, I was remembering waaaay back when Nick was, wait for it, only 11 and Tom and I were both completely clueless as to what to do with him, and I sent away for info on a military school in Kansas. We laugh about it now, but geeze.... Luckily we were in the real world and not in a soap, so we ended up working things out with the kid at home.

I'm glad Lucy was busted. That was a stupid plan. Not that I agree with Craig about keeping Dusty away from Johnny. He should allow Dusty to have time with Johnny. It's only going to hurt Craig in the end. I absolutely DISAGREE with sending Parker away. He needs discipline but then so does Liberty. The adults need to look for other alternatives then sending a child away. It's not like Parker is robbing banks or anything like that. Jack is taking the easy route and trying to please Janet, not thinking about his son. I wish Lucy would leave for good. |

This PARKER and LIBERTY business is SO STUPID because PARKER lives with CARLY and LIBERTY lives with BRAD and JACK AND JANET are the ONES FORCING them apart. |

Barb I think you make a very good point of how it is easier to see from the outside how to handle the Parker/Liberty situation rather than when you are so close to it. I also find it interesting and annoying that they have turned Liberty into the "good" one coerced by Parker when not long ago it was the other way around. And Janet sees it all as Parker as did Brad who was ready to go kill him. I can see why Michael said everyone would be acting out of character in this story and why he sounded a bit frustrated since his style of parenting is quite different from Jack's
