Meg's letting Paul babysit Eliza while she and Dusty go to the opening of a new restaurant in Chicago. Dusty's dropped off a bunch of baby clothes for Eliza, and Holden of course sees them, and asks if Eliza can't use hand-me-downs from Faith and Nate... Meg defends her relationship with Dusty, but Holden keps hammering at her that she needs to slow down.... Paul's already babysitting Eliza, he's got a gigantic giraffe and Eliza's cosy in her bassinet. Emily comes over and coos over Eliza. Paul tells her that he wants her to talk to Craig and let her do a story about Midnight Sun. Emily says Craig is never going to let her get anywhere near his business deals, and anyway, why would she do that? Paul says she needs a big story cause business is down at The Intruder, and anyway, she can spy on Craig. Paul says that he wants to know what's going on with Lucy and Craig, because if Lucy is doing something that's going to blow back on Dusty, Paul doesn't want Meg to be affected.  Of course, Emily ends up agreeing...  Lily's at WW on business and stops in to say hi to Dusty. He's just ordered white roses to be delivered to Meg, and Lily overhears. They end up talking about his relationship with Meg, and Dusty tells Lily that Holden continues to tell Meg to stay away from Dusty. Lily cautions Dusty not to get into a relationship for the wrong reasons...  Just then Dusty gets a call from Meg, cancelling their date. She thinks she needs to wait awhile.... Of course, Dusty is crushed, but tries to hide it.....Apparently Noah and Luke had been interrupted last night getting busy in Noah's dorm room.  Noah tells Luke that he'd like them to live together off campus over the Summer, and has already lined up a possible place. Luke's happy with that news, of course. The owner of the property walks in to talk to Noah and in the course of the talk, he realizes that Noah and Luke are a couple. He tells them he's sorry, but the place is rented!  After he leaves, the guys realize that he's a homophobe, especially when a friend comes in and says that the guy is notorious for not renting to gays. Luke says they've got to do something, while Noah wants to just use a more user friendly broker...  Craig is in a lather, and asks Lucy to come to his suite. He's missing a folder with very important papers that he needs in order to move forward with Midnight Sun. He wonders if Lucy knows anything about them, since nobody but Lucy and Johnny have been in the room. Lucy denies it, of course, and starts "looking" around, and pulls out the folder, which of course she's had the entire time. Craig is thrilled and they arrange to have lunch downstairs after Craig faxes the paperwork to the shipper... Craig thanks Lucy for "saving my ass....inine buttocks..." Downstairs, Lucy gets a phone call, saying she needs to go somewhere and meet with somebody about Midnight Sun...  When Craig comes down to eat with her, she asks him to wait, saying there's an emergency at the hospital, but she'll be right back. She ends up down at some dock, talking to a young guy. She gives him money and he tells her that there will be plenty of extra cargo space when the Midnight Sun shipment goes out, they can put whatever else they want in there. He says it's a pleasure working with her and "our mutual friend". Lucy goes back to The Lakeview and finds Emily there with Craig, trying to get info about Midnight Sun, and about Lucy and what interest, if any, she has in Midnight Sun. Lucy shows that the apple didn't fall far from the tree and Emily leaves in a huff! Craig is impressed, and Lucy says she wants them to be a family again, and wants Craig to trust her. As she leaves, Craig murmurs, "I wish I could..."  Meg's gone over to Fairwinds to tell Paul that he won't need to babysit Eliza, Meg and Dusty aren't going out. Paul is naturally over reacting, kind of giggling and asking if this is a good thing "for us". But Meg says there's no US. She does leave Eliza with Paul awhile, and goes to Fashions to return the baby clothes and her dress, that Dusty bought. Dusty walks in as she's doing this... Emily goes back to Fairwinds and tells Paul she's certain that Lucy knows something, or is doing something, with Midnight Sun that isn't on the up and up. Paul tells her that he doesn't want her snooping around anymore... (I had to  because when Emily got there, Paul was practicing juggling and not listening to Emily who kept jumping up and down trying to grab the objects Paul was practicing with. It was pretty funny. )Lucy, meanwhile, calls somebody and says that she thinks Emily Stewart could be a problem. Noah and Luke go to Luke's house and tell Lily and Holden about being discriminated against. Lily says that they should go public with it, and she'll get started. After all, she's working for the foundation, and it's all about gay rights.... Holden is taken aback to learn that he's the last person to find out about Lily's new "job". Later Lily and Holden have a good talk. I'm liking the way the show is dealing with them working on their marriage.

Luke/Noah/Holden/Lily were about 8 minutes of today's show. The other 31 were Dusty/Meg/Paul/Emily/Craig/Lucy. That part, other than maybe who Lucy was calling, was SO boring. I'm glad Luke and Noah get to be happy for a bit and deal with life's little issues as a couple before another big story starts. It would be great if whoever Lucy is calling is someone totally shocking that will blow us all away. But I won't hold my breath. |

It's good to see Emily actually working on a story snooping into peoples lives for the Intruder instead of for herself. But I think the gay rights discrimination by the landlord would make a better article than what's going on with Midnight Sun. Anyway looks like Emily will be in danger due to her snooping into Lucy's business. Not a good sign when someone says "so and so is going to be a problem" Its clear Lucy's "boss" has loads of money and power. Could be Lucinda but then she's fooling everyone acting like she's too weak to make the board meeting. Could be Rosanna but would Ro REALLY want to go to so much trouble to destory Craig and take down Carly with him? Sierra is possible but I doubt Mary Beth Evans is returning. Maybe Barbara since she can't stand Craig or Carly. Barbara hasn't had a good scheme in a while so I'm hoping its her. I'm getting tired of Holden butting into Meg's business. However his warnings about Dusty are valid, NOT because Dusty is a bad guy or bad for her but because Paul's insane jealousy could have bad consequences. Looking at the previews, I hope Paul reacts to Dusty and Meg's afternoon delight in a bad way so he can be sent away. Anything to shut him up!

Rich, I'm sick of Holden butting into Meg's life, too, I guess partly because of the way he does it, and also partly of the way she reacts to it. As for your wish that Paul would react in a bad way so he could be sent away.. That guy could bomb Memorial and STILL only get a slap on the wrist. But hey, we can dream, right? Kara, I wonder about Damien, too...

I thought about that too. They were friendly last time she was here until the end. But they could have ran into each other in Europe and her hatred for Craig probably outweighed any residual negative feelings for Damian. Paulo was the only person besides Van Hansis that I thought Spencer Grammer's Lucy had any chemistry with. |

I was so focused on the revenge angle that I didn't consider him. Is Damian still involved with the family business Kingsley Malta and wasn't that company a shipping firm? If not, maybe Damian is so desperate for cash that he will resort to any way to make money... like smuggling something not approved by the FDA. Craig's business becomes the perfect front for the operation.
