The saga of the runaway bride & groom continues today, with lots of yelling, mainly from Jack. Craig and Janet can't believe that Jack's put the kids out on the street. Janet says that "you've just taken the thing that's the most important thing in the world to me, and tossed her away..." She rushes out to look for the kids.Jack keeps telling Craig to get out, and Carly says that Craig can stay, and wonders "how many people are you going to throw out of MY house, Jack?" Craig does leave, though, and starts walking back to The Lakeview...Carly puts all her cards on the table, telling Jack that she did everything she could tonight, but Parker was determined not to go to bording school, and that was Jack's doing... Jack said that he doesn't even know who Parker is, and he doesn't know who Parker's become, living "in here". Carly says oh, you mean, I've been teaching him all the wrong things, and he's going to end up like me? Jack just keeps insisting that they can't give in and let Parker and Liberty come home, they have to use tough love. Carly says "and we all know how tough YOUR love can be, don't we, Jack?" ![]() Craig comes upon the teens sitting on a bench at the mall, and takes pity on them, telling them to come with him, he's going to give them probably the only wedding gift they'll get, a room at The Lakeview. Once the teens are checked in, Craig calls Carly and tells her that the kids are safe, and where they are. Carly doesn't tell Jack what Craig's done... Jack gets ready to leave, and tells Carly that everything he's done, he's done it to keep the family together. Carly sadly says that they don't have any family left, but Jack says that the kids mean everything to him, and he'll always have a bond with Carly, and will always love her. She tells him that if this is how he loves her, she wishes he'd hate her a little... Jack leaves. On the other side of the coin, Vienna and Henry show up with 4 positive pregnancy tests and says that "we're having a baby!" Despite the good news, Henry still isn't totally with the program, and Katie is still feeling a little left out, but in the end they drink a toast, to Inga and Sven. ![]() Once Henry and Vienna leave, Brad tells Katie that he thinks they need a little vacation, some alone time, but Katie wants to stay close to Vienna, so then Brad suggests they get a room at The Lakeview for a night, and Katie is up for that and is just going to make a reservation when Janet shows up and tells them about Liberty and Parker getting married. Brad's reaction is what you'd expect, and says he's going to go find "my son-in-law and put him in the ground!" But he calms down, after Katie and Janet talk to him. Janet gets ready to leave, and Katie asks her if she's alright. Janet says no, she isn't. The way Jack reacted is just like her parents reacted when she got pregnant with Liberty, and Janet acted like she knew what she was doing, but she didn't, and all she needed was her parents, and they weren't there for her, and she wants to be there for Liberty. Now that Katie and Henry are back in their room, Henry wants to get busy, but Vienna is all of a sudden saying that they can't do "that" because she's afraid it might hurt the babies. Henry is angry and Vienna doesn't want that, so she sits on Henry's lap and starts spinning a fantasy about how Henry's riding on a train in Europe and a beautiful woman sits down next to him, and he wants to make love to her, but the trouble is, she's a woman of virtue...but, there are ways to get around that.... and so it goes.... ![]() Parker's feeling pretty cool, or trying to act that way, anyway, up in the room Craig's gotten for him and Liberty. He and Liberty are hungry, and Parker insists that it's fine to use the mini-bar, even though Liberty says they shouldn't take advantage of Craig. But Parker is all about Parker. ![]() Brad tells Katie that he's going to try and be the kind of dad Liberty needs right now. He says that Parker and Liberty can stay with him and Katie, but he's going to tape Parker's butt to the couch, and Katie says she'll help him. ![]() Carly calls Janet and tells her that the kids are safe, and at the Lakeview. She says she didn't tell Jack, and Janet asks her if Carly's asking her not to tell Jack. Carly says, "he's your husband, you do what you want..." In a few minutes, Jack walks in, and he and Janet get into yet another shouting match. Jack is absolutely not backing down from his position. ![]() Later, Jack sits on the porch, crying, and having a talk with an imaginary Hal, saying that "I'm losing our little boy, and I could really use some help right now..." He sighs and goes inside, just as Janet brings bedding downstairs for him. He tells her that he's got to stand for what he believes. Janet asks, "even if you stand alone?" and goes upstairs. Carly's been doing some drinking, and besides that, is heartbroken, and shows that heartbreak as Maura West does only so well. In the midst of that, Craig shows up. At first, Carly is angry with him, and tries to blame him for what happened, saying he should have let her call Jack right away. Craig says he didn't know any judge would actually perform a ceremony, and that he felt Jack would only make things worse. Carly wonders what could be worse than what happened... eventually she thanks Craig, but when he asks her if she wants to go to the Lakeview to see the kids, she says no, and he leaves. ![]() The honeymoon night isn't very romantic, as the newlyweds are in bed together, but things are strictly platonic at this poing. ![]() Previews show Parker taking money from, I think, a drawer in Carly's kitchen, but it could be from somewhere else, then we see Jack asking Parker where the $$ came from and "arresting" Parker! ![]() We also see Craig and Carly half dressed, and then we see a speeding car hit Luke! ![]() Also, it looks like Emily has gotten the goods on Lucy, and Paul is threatening to use those goods against Lucy if she doesn't cooperate. ![]() Another wonderful day from some extremely talented actors! And no more show this week. |

Thanks, Roger. That would make more sense, as to why he'd be arrested.

Well, two days in a row and I'm a happy camper!! Everyone was great, but I gotta say, Michael and Maura just light up the screen. I'm really not looking forward to her leaving on maternity leave, it's going to leave a big empty space. |

I absolutely loved the show again. Michael and Maura were sensational and they really take things to a whole other level when they get to work together in story like this. What i like is that it isn't black and white and there are so many shades of gray to it. You can understand where both sides are coming from even if you don't agree with them and it's not like one is completely right and the other completely wrong. The fallout of this has so much potential an I hope they don't rush it and instead play it out the way it should be done. It actually has me looking forward to next week and it's been a long time since I could say that! |

Yes, they're doing a great job with the storyline, and the different perspectives are definitely being shown. And I'm glad they keep bringing the Munson angle into it.

Both shows were so good it worked well to watch them back to back! Just for fun I looked up marriage without legal consent laws on line and found some interesting facts. Overall NO ONE can get married if under 18 WITHOUT parental consent. However in some states, West Virginia, Georgia, Florida, and New Jersey marriage is allowed if the bride is pregnant. Looking at neighboring states with Illinois...Missouri is the closest to what Parker did. While under 18 cannot marry without consent of parent or guardian, "a person under age 15 cannot marry without approval of judge in county where marriage license is sought.Judge should grant approval upon showing of good cause and that unsual conditions make marriage advisable." So, if we go by when Parker was born on screen I guess he's really under 15! Also in Indiana Parker would have had to petition the court with a permission to marry form which costs $120. Doubt he had the money. In Kentucky Parker could get approal from a District Court....but his parents need to be residents of Kentucky. Ironic since Hal is from Kentucky. The only other state that comes close to Parker's scenario is believe it or not, in New Jersey. A male 16 or younger may marry with parental consent OR PERMISSION OF A JUDGE. So if Mick wanted to go over to neighboring NJ to get married after taping at the Brooklyn studio, he would just need the right judge. Thinking about the pregnancy angle, surprised the teens didn't just pretend that Liberty was pregnant. But maybe tptb thought it would make the story too complicated. BTW Long Live Musty! Shut up Paul! |
