Poor thing, she's been so much! :cry :muchlove I hope that things don't turn out as badly as she expects, that she will never have another recurrence, and that plastic surgery can help with her appearance. :fingers Not that that's the most important thing, but it IS important to anybody, and especially to an actress.

Wow this is frightening. She has been through so much. My heart and prayers go out to her that she truly beats it this time. I think it is encouraging that she was due back in the studio last Friday so hopefully she is doing well.

I know she said she would always have a home with ATWT no matter what happens to her appearacne and I hope she knows she will always be loved by the ATWT fans as well.

The last time I had a cleaning, the hygienist actually asked me about an oral cancer screening and I said yes. Normally I might just say no thinking it was just more money to spend, but after knowing about Colleen, I let them do it. It was very fast and no big deal. After reading this, and knowing it can be treated if caught early, everyone should defnitely ask for this.

Roger, Tom says that any dentist worth his salt automatically does a check for oral cancer, or has the hygienist do it. This was supposed to be standard treatment ever since Tom was in dental school, so I really don't understand that CZP's wasn't caught earlier. Or why everybody isn't getting one. As you say, it's no big deal. :hmm

Poor Colleen. :cry She's been through so much. She's such a lovely lady. I'm glad to hear that she knows that she can go back to ATWT, no matter what. I hope that she beats this. :fingers

My dentist doesn't make it a choice as to whether, or not, I want to be screened. It's automatically part of the appointment.

Wow! What an ordeal she has been through and continues to go through. She is truly a strong and brave person. I was cringing when she was describing the last surgery. I will definitely be making sure my dentist does an oral cancer screening as part of our checkups.

We hope that CZP fully recovers from this ordeal. We give her all the credit to let us know what she's been going through & to make us all aware of oral cancer.

As a side note I always try to avoid criticism of actors looks over the years. Sure they're actors & it comes with the territory. just don't feel comforable with it. When CZP was noticeably lisping I'm just relieved that there wasn't this coarse & harsh criticism on this board. some boards got really nasty & it just goes to show that we should take into consideration that we don't always know what is going on behind the scenes.

I hope ATWT is true to it's good reputation of standing by their veteran actors. CZP deserves no less.

Well, Marty, you can take it to the bank that you're never going to find any harsh criticism of an actor's looks over here. :2thumbs
