Parker and Liberty are trying to figure out what to do now. They meet with their lawyer at Java and he tells them that it could be YEARS before Parker can access his trust fund - 6 months if things go smoothly. The lawyer suggests they get jobs. ![]() Parker doesn't want to do any fast food job, but Liberty is more realistic, saying they'd be lucky to get that. She wonders what will happen with school and Parker says they don't have to worry about that, because his trust fund money will take care of them. Carly's running around looking for the kids, and stops in to talk to Janet, who tells her that she's been afraid to try to call Liberty. Carly tells Janet that as soon as she finds the kids she'll let Janet know. The two women are in agreement that Jack is making a big mistake. ![]() Meanwhile, Craig makes sure to stop in at the police station, and lets it out to Jack that he put the kids up in the honeymoon suite the night before and that both Carly and Janet knew. ![]() Then Craig finds the kids at Java and calls Carly, who rushes over there and tries to talk to them, but Parker grabs Liberty and they take off. They go over to the diner, and so does Jack, so now there's lots of arguing and bullheadedness. Janet grabs Jack and drags him outside to talk and Parker cleans out the cash drawer and tells Liberty they should go. She's clueless about the money, and before Parker can tell her about it, Janet tells Jack somebody stole money and Jack grabs Parker. When Parker won't admit to taking the money, Jack drags him to the police station and insists that he be charged as an adult. ![]() Carly and Craig are together. He says he'll keep the kids at the Lakeview for awhile, and Carly's grateful. Carly gets a call from Janet telling her she's got to get to the cop shop, Jack's arrested Parker! Carly and Craig rush over there. While this is going on, Luke and Lily are doing a show at WOAK about discrimination. Just so happens that Lily owns WOAK and that Kim's had a cancellation, so.... Honestly, I know and agree that discrimination of all kinds exists and is wrong, but puhlease, I thought this whole thing was so contrived and awkward... Of course there is lots of public feedback, positive, and the discriminating landlord shows up and tells the boys they can have the apartment if they want it. Luke insists that he promise there's no more discrimination, and Noah says he wants the leaky fridge fixed. The happy threesome goes back to Lily's to plan their next actions. There's a knock at the door and when Lily opens it, she sees a cardboard box, which she brings inside. Noah thinks they shouldn't open it, but Luke does. Inside is a note that says, "stop helping sinners and perverts or you'll live to regret it". Now there's a surprise. ![]() Jack is absolutely not changing his mind. Janet and Carly can't believe Jack is actually charging Parker. Liberty is worried about what's going to happen to Parker. Craig says he's calling his lawyer. Soon, Parker's out on bail, until the "trial". Janet says she'll talk to Henry and Vienna about not pressing charges. Craig, Janet, Carly and the kids go over to the Lakeview. Craig tells Parker that room service is on him. He suggests to the two women that they have a drink, but Janet goes home and Carly says she needs to go home, too. So Craig takes Carly home, and she thanks him for taking care of Parker. He tells her he's on her side. ![]() Jack finds Janet sitting on the porch at the farm, and sits down by her. She's devastated by everything, but tells him that she's his wife and even though she disagrees with how he's handling this, she'll stand by him, and won't ever lie to him again. ![]() So now Jack's breaking down yet another woman... ![]() This isn't why I watch MY show. |

I wanted to throw things at my TV today, sheeezzzz... Partly because some of the characters are acting like idiots (shocking!) but mostly because there were enough annoying things about the storylines featured today to make me go Maybe I missed it but where on earth is Jack coming from with his attitude? He doesn't want to deal with Parker at all. No wonder Parker looks like he wants to run a thousand miles away. Jack just wants to send him away. Carly is heartbreaking to watch. She's dealing with nothing but crazy testosterone at this point. And Craig is 'helping' but it's not really all that helpful. Jack is right about that. I felt bad for Janet today, too. Until the end. Then I wanted to slap her. You don't just fall into place like it's the 50s. She knows that Jack has gone too far. Talk about a group that could use some serious counseling. The Luke/Lily stuff was well intended but, like Barb, I thought it was too "neat." Also, I am still having trouble buying nuLily. I don't feel a lot of connection between her and Luke. And what on earth does Luke store in his skull if not a brain? WHY did he just open the box after Noah expressed reasonable concern? I'm glad it wasn't a bomb but jeez... Not that I have a lot of faith in the Oakdale PD to handle much... At least Paul and Emily weren't on. |

Well Michael wasn't kidding when he said everyone would be acting out of character in this story. However I am enjoying it because of the superb acting.I don't think though everything is Jack's fault Sure Jack is overreacting but Carly and Janet are under reacting. They just want to ignore it all and hope it goes away. Janet was going to look the other way and Carly is trying to pretend it didn't happen, go back to the way things were, after a bottle or two of wine. And Craig needs to butt out. I tend to think Jack's plan was to let Parker cool his heals at the OPD for awhile and hopefully get him to admit that he had taken the money and to realize life wasn't so easy. Right now Parker refused to take any responsibility and thinks he's on easy street forever once he gets his money. I'm not so sure he ever actually meant for charges to get filed. However along comes Craig and bails him out and gives him the honeymoon suite along with room service. And now with the lawyer involved there probably will have to be charges. At least Craig admitted why he was doing this today and it's to get Carly indebted to him and to stick to Jack. What a swell guy He doesn't even care about Parker but rather it's what is in it for him.I also don't see Jack as breaking down a woman at all. For starters she would have had to have been strong to begin with, something Janet never was. She wanted so badly to be married that she settled for a marriage where she knew she would never totally have the man's heart. Jack never came to her and said it was do it his way or the highway. That's all Janet's doing. Again she wants to be married more than anything so she'll settle. That is not Jack's doing. That's just who Janet is at the core. The stuff with Luke/Lily was okay but enough of the PSA's. |

I really liked the WOAK stuff. It wasn't half as preachy as I thought it would be. Noelle Beck was really good during that emotional speech about how she reacted to Luke's coming out. I also thought it was a nice touch to show close-ups of Noah during the interview. You could see he was wishing that his own family was accepting of him like the Snyders are of Luke. It was also great to see Kim in scenes that weren't about Brad and Katie. |

Well, even the superb acting isn't doing it for me right now. ![]() Here's another point of view on Janet's and Carly's reaction - They're just wishing JACK would go away. Honestly, he is wwaaaayyyyyy out of reason here. Not that Parker is making things any easier, and I can understand how infuriating that is, but..... Now what we need to see is Liberty standing up to Parker. ![]() Janet standing up to Jaaack and either having Liberty come live with them, which probably wouldn't work, or have Liberty live with Brad and Katie. ![]() Craig does need to butt out, as his motives are not good ones. ![]() And I still think that that last scene with Jack and Janet was yet another example of Jack getting his way, after acting like a spoiled brat. I like Michael Park just as much as anybody, but Jack is wrong here, way wrong. ![]() As for Carly, she needs to stop drinking, but of course she can't because 1)MW is pg and 2)That would kill the storyline that tiic have come up with |

I loved all the Luke/Lily stuff. Noelle was really wonderful during her scenes at WOAK. Again, Nuke was 10 mins of a 38 minute show and the other 28 were sometimes hard to take. You have these powerhouse actors and all they talk about are the horrible Parker and Liberty. 80 year old Jeanne Cooper can get a storyline but Michael and Maura are forced to just talk about Parker. |

I definitely agree that all the focus being on Parker and Liberty is just plain stupid. It's kind of like an ongoing PSA on how not to parent, IMO.

It is frustrating to see Carly having to have a glass of wine to numb the pain when Parker refuses to come home with her. Craig actually noticed that she was having a bit too much and she just didn't care. Then there was an interesting foreshadow when she came to the OPD and begged Jack to not arrest Parker. Jack said to her "You expect me to listen to someone who's half in the bag." Now there's an expression I never heard before! In case viewers were confused he emphasizied how he could smell the alcohol on her breath! Its clear that Jack will NOT be supporting Carly when her drinking gets even more out of control while Craig will be there no matter what. I could understand Craig wanting to keep his business partner clean and sober but his helping Parker is getting him too close to Carly and the previews showed just how close they will get. Though I don't like his motives it was funny to see him give it to Jack just because Jack's been on such a high horse and isn't helping things at all when it comes to Parker. AS someone as suggested PLEASE get these people in family counseling! The only thing I didn't like about the WOAK scenes was the mention of Damian's money providing the funds for the foundation. It makes no difference to the audience of the "show" but I guess it was for the benefit of the audience of the SHOW ATWT.

Man, I wish DMarland was handling this soap. What I have been seeing is..... A parallel between a new TEEN MARRIAGE beginning AND two gay young men trying to begin their lives together. So of course we see the TEENS in bed together and two guys hug and kiss. TOUGH LOVE. For all of the crappy reasons...COPMAN JACK seems to be running into issues with PARKER and handling things as a cop probably should. Then the few minutes of WONDER and UNDERSTANDING between PARKER AND LIBERTY is LIBERTY flipping around and stating her desire to graduate from school...because PARKER is so SMART then wet noodle PARKER pushes an early marriage, pushes away good parents, starts a new life for someone he loves with NO PLAN WHAT SO EVER....OH, YEAH....but he does sit on a $50million nest egg. The MOTHERS....what a trip down two completely different lanes. One is drinking herself into the ground...and the other is propping up her husband....but not in a good open relationship way. CRAIG's intentions are definitely for HIS OWN VALOUR in this escapade....but for such a mess that PARKER has created....at least CRAIG's actions attempt to keep the problems with PARKER and LIBERTY off the streets and within the family more so than the mess that is unfolding and spilling over the edges. LUKE and NOAH and LILY and discrimination issues....MOST of the stuff is good and necessary in communities off the metro congested streets....but sadly I see NYers trying to preach to the farming communities. And it is ONE THING to try and state how DISCRIMINATION is WRONG in a community when there STILL IS NO EQUALITY of NUKE and PARKER/LIBERTY. If you want to PREACH then you also need to TEACH. |

"And it is ONE THING to try and state how DISCRIMINATION is WRONG in a community when there STILL IS NO EQUALITY of NUKE and PARKER/LIBERTY. If you want to PREACH then you also need to TEACH. " I'm not getting the point about equality between NUKE and Parker/Liberty?????

I thought about just dropping any further explanations but compare any of the TEEN romances and NUKE has definitely been a HIDDEN romance. I consider NUKE to be the NORM for my life...and personally find it quite distasteful when the OTHER TEEN romance is a TEEN marriage and of course they get to hit the sheets immediately. At least the marriage was not consummated...but surely it will. So we have a soap opera trying to PREACH about DISCRIMINATION type issues....when ACTIONS could speak louder than words (thus TEACH) if this soap opera would just treat the viewers to the romances equally. And YES we all know that straigth romances and gay romances are not handled equally in the legal/church sense....but if two guys are going to LIVE TOGETHER then that is the closest option that a gay couple have compared to marriage. So are we comparing apples to oranges??? Not really. We are talking about COMMITMENT in whatever color it is presented. |
