Luke, still fired up from the tv show yesterday, has sprung into action and arranged to have a rally at Metro TODAY for gay/lesbian rights.  He tells Noah that they'll have to put off buying household things for their apartment because of the rally. Noah is worried, because of the note that was left at Lily's door, but Luke brushes that off, and they head over to Luke's to tell Lily about the rally.At the same time, Margo is telling Lily that she should keep a low profile until they figure out who sent the note. Lily doesn't think she should have to do that, but Margo says that she doesn't want anybody to get hurt, and just then Holden walks in and overhears that last part. Margo leaves and Holden gets Lily to tell him what's going on. Of course, he's worried for Lily and Luke's safety. Just then, Luke and Noah walk in and Luke tells Lily and Holden about the rally and says that he wants Lily to speak. Holden absolutely says no, and it's kind of up in the air. Holden tells Luke he's proud of him and supportive, but also doesn't want anybody to be hurt... the guys leave for Metro, and Lily tells Holden that she has no choice, she IS going to speak...  From Lily's, Margo goes over to Brad and Katie's and learns that Vienna is their surrogate. Margo doesn't take it seriously at first, but once she stops laughing, she insists that Katie and Brad have Tom draw up some kind of contract. Brad and Katie don't think it's necessary, and Brad's afraid that Vienna might back out of the deal because of it, but Katie is sure they can explain things to Katie without hurting her feelings.  Vienna's gotten an appointment with her ob/gyn, because of a cancellation, and drags Henry along with her. At the hospital, she realizes that Katie and Brad should be there, so she calls and leaves a message, and then she and a reluctant Henry go in for the ultrasound. However, the doctor has bad news. There is NO baby! We don't know exactly what happened, although the doctor does say, I guess, that it could have been a false positive. (4 false positives???  ) Katie and Brad get Vienna's message and rush to the hospital. Vienna is too broken up to tell them the truth, so she says that everything is perfect and when Katie asks about the ultrasound picture, she says they didn't get one because the printer wasn't working. They end up at Al's and Katie pulls out the contract and as she's talking about how much this means to her, Vienna breaks down crying and runs outside of the diner. She asks Henry if they can please wait a little longer to give Brad and Katie the bad news, and then they go back inside and Vienna signs the contract. Luke is giving a little talk at the rally when Lily and Holden walk in. He's happy, naturally, and Lily says a few words. Then, Luke goes to get some paperwork he's printed out about how other gay rights organizations handled opposition. He's left the papers in his car. Holden wants to go with him, but Luke says he'll be fine. Luke gets a big pile of papers out of his car, shuts the door, turns around and starts to cross the street when a car appears out of nowhere and hits him, then takes off!  From somewhere, a man walks up and picks up Luke. He takes him to the hospital, without being seen, and then later walks into Luke's hospital room. Luke is unconscious, and the mystery man puts a note on Luke's blanket, with Lily's name and phone # on it, then leaves. Holden's gone out to look for Luke and finds the papers and some blood and calls Margo. Margo get there and she, Holden, Lily and Noah are standing there when Lily gets a call from the hospital and they all rush over there... Luke's still unconscious, but wakes up soon and thinks he should go back to the rally.  He doesn't want to think that his accident is related to the note that Lily got.pg. 295 Back in their suite, Henry tries to comfort Vienna, who's grieving about not being pregnant and letting Brad and Katie down. She starts talking about Henry and how he feels about having a family, she doesn't really know, she says. Henry pulls out a copy of his book and reads her a quote from pg. 295, where book Henry says that having children is like drowning...  Of course, they end up having sex.  At home, Brad and Katie are talking about how much they want "this" baby. Katie's feeling a little sentimental and nervous, and Brad tells her that nothing is going to mss this up... Luke's doctor insists that he needs observation for at least the next 48 hours. Luke's worried that if he's not around to keep the momentum going, the cause will suffer, but Noah says he'll keep things going. He gives Luke a kiss and leaves. Margo plans to put a guard at Luke's door. Everybody's gone, and Luke's dozing. Someone walks into his room and takes his hand. Luke mutters, "you just can't get enough of me, can you, Noah?" and opens his eyes to see... Damian! I am soooo happy that Damian's back and I hope he has good story. That guy is just so hot! And he's come so far with his acting. I think the director had fun directing Luke's accident. When the papers came floating down out of the air into the ground by Luke, I was picturing somebody up on a ladder tossing them.. It was kind of funny how Damian came out of what seemed to be the room next to Luke's at the end of the show. The baby story scenes, or non-baby, were handled better than I'd expected, but really, the reasons given for no baby were very

After seeing the PREVIEW...I thought for sure that VIENNA would be carrying a LITTER.....I think I am glad that I was wrong... |

flashy, you must have missed the part in one of the previous shows when Vienna and Henry showed up at Brad and Katie's and she was waving around 4 positive(supposedly) pregnancy tests.

I saw the DIPSTICKS episode. I may watch today's episode after DAMAGES. I am fairly certain that the PREVIEW I saw was for today's action. THANKS FOR THE RECAP!!!....as always! |

With Luke's accident I found it strange that the hospital said Luke had no i.d. on him. Why would he not have his wallet on him? Then when Lily received the call the person on the other end seemed to know that the victim was Luke but the note left for them only had Lily's name on it. Of course not surprised Damian didn't call right away. He, Lily and Holden have not been on the best of terms. Of course the right thing for Damian would have been to call 911, letting the paramedics move Luke and not carry him himself. Luke could have had a serious head injury which Damian would have made worse. Unless of course Damian was the one who hit him. Anyway from the way it was filmed, it seems whoever hit him was waiting for the right moment. I have a bad feeling about the surrogate baby story. I would not be surprised if Vienna now gets pregnant by Henry and then the two of them pretend that she's actually carrying a baby conceived by Brad instead of Henry. At least it would make Henry feel better about Vienna's pregnancy but it sure would make Brad and Katie pissed. Plus it would constitute fraud as far as that contract goes.
