The mystery about Lucy and her contact at the docks continues. Somehow, Craig and Carly are at the docks today, seeing about getting their shipment onboard the ship. Lucy finds out about it when Craig calls and asks her if she can pick Johnny up after school. She's been on the phone with her mystery contact, the one on the phone, and tells him that if she has to, she'll go after Dusty. Paul's skulking around the Lakeview, first talking to Lucy and putting pressure on her to get something going with Dusty, then, down in the lobby, he's acting all weird and sees Meg and Dusty having breakfast. Meg tells Dusty that Paul's been acting really weird, more than usual. So Dusty wants to see for himself, and goes over to Paul and sits down. Paul goes into some kind of a weird monolog about how he's not out for revenge anymore, he just wants to have full custody of Eliza, and he'll do whatever he has to.... Dusty isn't getting Paul and goes back to Meg and says she's right, Paul's weird. The two of them leave and go over to Java to have breakfast and then Meg goes to work....Lucy goes to the docks and has a close call when Ceasar acts like he knows yer, in front of Carly and Craig... they cover that, and then Lucy tells Craig she's been selected to go to a seminar in Chicago and she wonders if she can take Johnny with her that day, for an overnight. Craig's first reaction is no way, but then Lucy and Carly keep bugging him, so finally he says ok, but that Johnny's going to be wearing a microchip so that Craig can keep track of him. Apparently, Craig is going to have an assistant go to Johnny's school and put the microchip in Johnny's clothes or something... ![]() Lucy leaves and calls Dusty, to see if he wants to go to Chicago with her and Johnny. Of course, Dusty's all for it. Then Lucy tells Paul that her plan is going ahead, and tells him that she, Johnny and Dusty will be in Chicago all night. ![]() Paul doesn't waste any time getting over to Memorial and telling Meg about the Chicago trip. She calls Dusty but gets his machine, but then Dusty calls her back and tells her himself about the Chicago trip, so Meg says to have a good time and tells Paul that she's fine with it. Paul tells her that she should also be fine with him having extra time with Eliza, and gets her to agree to bring Eliza over to Fairwinds after she gets off work. Pretty much the way he convinces Meg to go along with what he wants is because he threatens to call Craig and tell him that Dusty is in Chicago with Lucy and Johnny, and Meg doesn't want that to happen. Sales of The man from Oakdale must be down, since now they're having Dusty reading the book while he's in the hotel room with Lucy, in Chicago. By now, they little family have had a bus tour and Johnny's taking a nap while Lucy starts working on Dusty... But despite her best efforts, Dusty resists.... saying they'll always be friends... ![]() Once the ship leaves the port, Craig and Carly get busy with one of their favorite pasttimes, drinking. They end up at Carly's, and the drinking continues. Before you know it, Craig grabs Carly's hand and says, "let's go...to bed.." And away they go....Meg shows up at Fairwinds with Eliza and asks Paul if he's bringing her home or if she should come pick her up later. Paul is ignoring Meg, so then she asks him where the social worker is. Paul says there isn't any social worker, and Meg says that this visit can't happen, but Paul says that if Meg doesn't go along with it, he'll call Craig and tell him that Lucy and Dusty are in Chicago with Johnny. Meg tells him that he doesn't have to blackmail her, he could just ask, but then Paul says that maybe Meg could stay overnight, with him and Eliza. Meg says that can never happen, but Paul starts in with the blackmail again.... It looks like Paul is really showing his dark, hateful, insane side about this... ![]() At the farm, Jack and Janet have been having an endless talk about what should be done with the situation of Parker and Liberty. Janet says that it's obvious Jack is comparing Parker lying to him and disappointing him, to Carly doing the same thing, and that's coloring the way he's behaving. Jack says that when he told the kids to leave the house, he didn't really think they would... Jack says he's ready to sit down with Carly and Brad and the four of them can decide what to do next. So they head over to Carly's. The door's unlocked, they knock, but no answer, so Jack goes upstairs and finds Carly and Craig making out.... ![]() Jack sees an empty booze bottle on the floor and realizes that Carly's been drinking. He asks Carly about where Sage is, and Carly knows, but it takes her awhile to spit it out. Craig yells that Jack has no business there, and the little proposed confab never happens. Janet's reaction when she sees Carly and Craig coming downstairs is kind of odd, she tells Jack she knew they should have called, and tells Carly that there's coffee going... Then she and Jack leave. At the farm, Janet is furious with Jack after he says that "Craig has no business in MY bed!" Janet says it isn't HIS bed anymore, and Carly isn't his wife... Jack says he has a right to be angry at Carly, but Janet yells that no, he doesn't... ![]() Back at Carly's, Craig and Carly drink somemore and do some talking about how horrible Jack is, and how out of line, and next thing you know, they're going upstairs to finish what they started. Only this time, Carly makes sure to lock the front door... ![]() Today was just such a for me.... Previews show Jack telling Carly that Craig's playing her and Parker to get his hands on the rest of Rosanna's money... ![]() Ali plants a kiss on Casey... Damian staggers into Java while Noah's there, and collapses on the floor. There's blood on his hand...

Today was pretty awful all around. I simply can't stand the character of Paul. Since Roseanna is coming back, I have to wonder if she is who Lucy is talking to. It may already be out in spoilers, but I try to avoid them.

Linda, that's not a bad idea on who Lucy could be talking to. I do read spoilers, but haven't see one on who that is, yet.As for the show, I've been relying mainly on Barb's recaps lately. I did watch a little bit today, but it really wasn't worth watching.

About the only thing I enjoyed about Friday's episode...was the EASE that CARLY felt in plopping into bed with CRAIG. CARLY needs loving even if it is with the wrong man. The rest seemed like filler. Is CRAIG really only OUT for PARKER's millions? Or is this just another warped JACK ploy? We are always given these SOFTER SIDES of characters....like CRAIG. Which could just be his real nature but at the same time LUCY turns EVIL or at least that is what I am seeing. I wonder the same about DAMIAN. I would rather return to the days of GOOD PEOPLE and BAD PEOPLE....instead of having a character all different shades. |

I know Carly is in need of some lovin' but this is SO wrong! Both times she has now slept with him she was totally drunk. There is nothing at all romantic about this pairing. Even the foreplay or lack of it seems all wrong. Both times they got totally smashed, start laughing hysterically then suddenly kissed passionately. The Carly I remember would be much stronger and be able to keep it strictly business. But she's going through so much with Parker and her new business we're supposed to understand. So as Maura gets larger tptb don't bother to hide and don't have to since Carly's becoming this sloppy drunk! But if Carly's going to become an alcoholic I'd rather see her deal with it on her own without Craig in the mix. I guess when Maura goes on maternity leave, Carly will get the chance to recover. Unfotunately this recovery will be off camera! |

I don't like it, either, that Carly and Craig's sex has come after they're liquored up, but I was when you said that "the Carly I know would have been strong and kept it businesslike.." And that Carly would be who???????

I guess I was thinking that "Drunk Carly" can't seem to control herself around Craig but "Sober Carly" probably could. True she slept with Simon while working on a business venture but she did resist Sam. Unfortunately Sam couldn't take 'no' for an answer. I don't recall her being that into Craig in the past so I feel its her low self-esteem combined with the booze has given her this "what the hell" attitude as far as he is concerned. In fact, before Carly started hitting the bottle she made it clear with Craig she didn't want any relationship with him except business. I wonder if Craig sees that its only the liquor that makes Carly so into him?

CRAIG and CARLY were a couple once. Help me here....but didn't CRAIG, being portrayed by HUNT BLOCK, and CARLY establish a little coupling during the first months that HB came on screen?? So there is some history with CRAIG and CARLY.... |

As I remember it when HB played Craig the relationship was pretty much one sided. He was into her....she not so much. They slept together once at that time and then she basically broke it off before it really became anything serious. For the most part the two have been friends (except when he ran Rosanna of the road!) Now she's basically choosing Mr. Right Now instead of Mr. Right. Of course the way Jack's been behaving not sure HE is even Mr. Right at this point.
