Carly stops in at the police station to talk to Jack, but Jack is still fuming about Craig being appointed guardian of Parker's trust... :waiting

Parker and Liberty are taking today off from school, and Parker tells Craig he wants to go find an apartment. Craig sits down to talk to Parker, about how important it is to stay in school and he asks Parker if he thinks Liberty fell in love with a guy who's a high school dropout, even if he does have money... :shutup So Parker says fine, we'll stay in school, but we still need an apartment... :waiting Before anything else can be said, Carly calls and asks Craig to come to her place. He says he will and tells Parker they'll talk later.

While Parker's talking to Craig, Liberty's over at the diner talking to Janet. Janet's trying to convince Liberty to tell Parker she wants an annullment. Liberty says that she can still go to college, and in fact, still plans to... but Janet says that going to college when she's married will be way different from going to college as a single woman. Janet starts convincing Liberty that maybe she knows what she's talking about, and then Parker comes in... Janet thinks that Liberty's going to tell Parker that they should get their marrige annulled, but instead, Liberty tells Parker that Janet's been worried that Liberty won't go to college. :waiting Parker reassures Janet that with his trust fund, they can go to any college they want. :smack Then he tells Liberty that he's got some apartments for them to look at, and they leave...

When Craig shows up at Carly's, Jack's there with her. Craig says, to Carly, "Well, if we're going to play good cop, bad cop, I hope you're the one with the handcuffs. :shutup :lol Of course, this just makes Jack even madder than he already is, since Craig isn't "taking this seriously". :rolleyes Anyway, Craig asks what they want, and Carly says that they'd like it if he'd tell the judge he doesn't want to be the trust guardian. Craig says that that's not happening, he cares about Parker and right now, Craig's the only one Parker will talk to... As usual, Carly's stuck in the middle between Jack and Craig. Jack is right back into angry Jack mode, and Craig doesn't have any trouble at all sticking up for himself, and pointing out the error of Jack's ways. Jack retaliates by calling Craig a criminal with a long rap sheet... :shutup

Jack finally can't take anymore and goes over to the diner. Then Parker and Liberty show up at Carly's. Parker saw Craig's car and tells Craig that they found a penthouse apartment and he needs money for the first and last month's rent and security deposit. Craig tells Parker that he isn't getting a cent from him, and when Parker whines, "then where will we live?" Craig says that he believes Parker's room is still empty... :lol :lol Anyway, to Carly's delight, it ends up that Liberty and Parker will be living there. The kids go to tell Janet, and Carly thanks Craig, who insists that they drink a toast, "to trust.." :hmm

In the Meg, Dusty, Lucy, Paul thing - Dusty, Johnny and Lucy are back in Oakdale and Paul goes to the Lakeview to find out from Lucy if she was able to get Dusty in bed with her. Lucy tries to fast talk Paul into thinking "it" happened, but Paul isn't convinced.... :hmm

Dusty's out at the farm and Meg's happy to see him. Then, she tells him about spending the night at Fairwinds with, but not WITH Paul, because of Paul threatening to tell Craig that Lucy was letting Dusty see Johnny.... Dusty says that this is his fault, and he's going to fix it. He's tired of sneaking around to see Johnny, and is going to figure out a way to see him, without all of that... so he tells Meg that if Paul threatens her again, to tell Paul just go ahead and tell Craig whatever he wants. :2thumbs Dusty kisses Meg, neither of them realize that Paul's at the window, watching. He turns around and rushes right back to Lucy....

Paul tells Dusty that if things went so well between her and Dusty in Chicago, then why was Dusty kissing Meg. Lucy tries to think of explanations, but Paul tells her that she's got one more chance, and then he's going to Craig. :waiting

After Paul leaves, Dusty shows up and Lucy tries a few tricks, tears, a passionate kiss, but Dusty pushes her away and asks her what's going on. So then Lucy tells Dusty some half truths, saying that she's been using Craig's shipping line to ship goods to South Africa, to an agency that promotes global assitance to the people there.. she knows it's illegal, and somehow Paul found out, and is threatening to tell Craig, unless Lucy gets Dusty away from Meg. After Lucy tells Dusty that Meg could be in danger, Dusty agrees to pretend that he's back together with Lucy. :smack

Paul goes to the farm and starts ordering Meg around, telling her to get Eliza ready, he's taking her for a visit. But Meg tells him it's not happening, and that he can tell Craig whatever he wants. Paul's shocked, and finally says okay, have it your way, and starts to see about setting up an appointment to see Eliza the next day, with the social worker there. So now Meg starts in with her usual, why are you doing this, bla bla bla... Paul kind of sarcastically says, oh, when I'm angry and unreasonable, there's something wrong with me and when I'm calm and trying to do the right thing, there's still something wrong with me... :shutup :lol Then he goes to Fairwinds.

So then Lucy goes to Fairwinds to tell Paul and Dusty goes to the farm to tell Meg that no matter what she hears from Paul about him and Lucy, she has to trust him unconditionally... she tells him she can do that, and they hug.... :muchlove

At Al's, Liberty and Parker tell Janet and Jack that they'll be living at Carly's and why. Janet thinks that's a fine idea, and after Jack swallows his shock, he tells Parker, "you did the right thing..." :2thumbs

Tomorrow looks pretty good. Zoe and Zak make their much touted appearance, and Damian collapses in Java while Noah rushes to his side.... before collapsing, Damian tells Lily and Holden that until Holden gets over his anger at Damian, Luke will not be safe... :hmm

Did I hear Paul correctly during that exchange?? Did PAUL tell LUCY "No more lies!" ?!?!?!? :smack

On another note, I know Noelle Beck is Lily, but who are Tala Ashe and Dylan Bruce?? The only reason I'm asking is because we have DirecTv and under the info for the show they list Tala Ashe, Noelle Beck and Dylan Bruce (in that order). Just curious :hmm .

Dylan Bruce played Chris Hughes and Tala Ashe played Ameera, who was briefly married to Noah so she could stay in America. She came to Oakdale from, I believe, Iraq, or maybe Iran. :)

I'm so tired of Paul and Lucy meddling with Meg and Dusty. Meg and Dusty should have their own story far, far, far away from Lucy and Paul. I'm hoping Lucy will be gone soon and as always I would love Paul to be locked away. Hey with two more actors gone it'll free up the budget for bigger sets or more big name actors! :wink

I don't trust Lucy at all. If she were such an activist interested in helping third world nations she could have worked with Luke and use his foundation to help. Come to think of it, she hasn't spoken a word to Luke since she came back to Oakdale. When Spencer Grammer played her she and Luke were like pals as well as cousins. I bet Luke could see right through her now if she were in his orbit. :hmm

I missed the show yesterday but agree that Lucy isn't to be trusted.

Paul is very unstable and needs professional, long term help. So naturally the show will ignore all of that and just have him shred other characters apart. :waiting On one hand, the concept of a crazy person meddling/manipulating the lives around him/her isn't NEW, but when Paul does it, it's just stoooooooooopid. :smack It is NOT entertaining or suspenseful or has the strength to carry across storylines and characters well (a la James of past stories). :gaah

I'm sticking to my 2 pronged theory that JP and CG are trying to get certain actors to leave by assassinating their characters to the point of no return AND/OR sabotaging the show's efforts to stay on the air - maybe they have another project they'd rather be at the helm of in the time slot or something (see the movie "Major League").

There have to be reasons why so many parts are so wrong with this show, especially when the caliber of acting is clearly NOT the problem in most cases. :huh :huh :huh :huh

Nice recap Barb...and Anni!! and Rich (from Tuesday)!!

I took a research stab...but failed....current LUCY reminds me of one character that swooped in on the HUGHES family. She was a TV Assistant to KIM...and was "stalking and using or loving" ANDY. I cannot remember her name. Same hair color as LUCY...and never really trusting EITHER LUCY or this old nemesis.

Of all the characters that I am currently watching...the saddest character that I wish could just tear off his clothes with a SUPERMAN CAPE and suit underneath....I wish DUSTY would just do a TOOTSIE and turn this soap around. What a wimp of one of the strongest men on soaps (at the moment).

ATWT seems to destroy STRONG MEN....think...BaileyChase, DylanBruce, ChrisBeetem.

I started to wish that JAMES STENBECK is ALIVE. ALIVE. ALIVE. Is he?
