According to Soaptown USA's column Loose Lips, both Nancy and Susan have some scenes upcoming. Snancy will air on Tuesday and there is a spoiler pic of her and Bob at the PGP Blog. Emma will also be seen next week and is in one of the pics.

Then On May 25, according to SID, Larry Fry will return for a couple of days as Larry McDermott and they hint it could possibly become more than that. So my guess is this is where Susan come in.

Dare we hope somebody finally got the message that we want to see some vets?

Nancy and Susan haven't even been seen in 2009. It's about time. I'm really happy to see Nancy as I was worried it was a health issue keeping Helen away.

I don't think TPTB realize how much seeing these longtime characters adds to the show. When they are gone, especially how they've been the past few months, it seems like a new show to me. Ali and Emily are both more tolerable when Susan is around. And the same goes for Meg and Holden with Emma.

I was worried about Helen's health too, so I was ecstatic this morning when I saw a spoiler pic of her for next week.

I agree TPTB either didn't get how much seeing the vets adds to the show or they were simply ignoring it. When they air, everybody needs to bombard them with emails or letters saying how fabulous it is. I get they are trying to draw more younger viewers, but multi-generational stories using the vets along with the younger cast really add so much more depth.

This show is just not going to suddenly draw a million new teenagers to it, especially at 2pm in the afternoon on CBS. Many of us got hooked because our families watched and it got passed down. That isn't as possible these days, but why alienate the older viewers by never showing the vets? It just sort of makes sure you have no fans left.

One of the problems with ATWT is that it doesn't feel like a community anymore. Everyone lives in their own universe and hardly crosses over. When you see Lisa with Casey or Margo now it hardly even feels natural because it's such a rare occurrence.

I hope Larry isn't coming back to be a villain. They really trashed his memory over the years since Ali grew up.
