Craig's brought Parker to the hospital and is trying to reach Carly by phone, but she's busy getting drunk at Yo's and isn't picking up. So finally Craig calls Jack, because a nurse says that a parent should be there. Jack shows up right away, and Craig tells him that he found Parker in the words, with an empty vodka bottle, and another that was half empty, by him. Jack asks Craig to keep trying to get ahold of Carly, so Craig does...Meanwhile, Carly tries to pick a fight with some woman at Yo's and the bartender calls her a cab. She gets home and the phone rings. It's Craig and he tells her to stay put, he'll be right there. Carly falls asleep and Craig comes over and wakes her up and tells her about Parker. Then Craig gives her a cup of cold coffee and tells her to clean up. She wants to rush over to the hospital but Craig says that Jack's there, so Carly listens and gets herself somewhat together... then they go to the hospital.Holden's back in town and walks in on Luke and Lily talking about the situation with Damian and Noah. Lily's told Luke that Damian went to Lisbon to find Noah.... Holden thinks like Luke does, that Damian can't be trusted, but Lily keeps insisting she doesn't believe that. Luke leaves and goes to Java. Zoey and Zak are still holding Noah wherever, and they want Noah to call Luke again, but Noah refuses, so they send Luke a text. Zoey gets to Java just as Luke gets the text. Luke says that it just doesn't "sound" like Noah. Zoey starts reassuring Luke that everything's fine, but then she finds out that Damian went to Lisbon, so she jumps up and races back to Zak and Noah. She tells him they've got to act now, so Zak says, "Deliver it!" and Zoey takes off... Now Noah tries to talk Zak into setting him free, saying he knows a police detective who will make sure that Zak doesn't spend time in jail. Zak acts like he's seriously listening, but then says ok, but Noah has to make love to him, since Noah's "wife" is gone. Noah is repulsed, but then thinks that maybe he can get ahold of this weight that Zak's been lifting, and knock Zak out, so he says ok. Zak unties Noah and starts making his move, but then Noah starts backing up to where the weight is and Zak grabs his arm and twists he... he's known all along what Noah's up to. He tells Noah that Noah needs to get his gadar fixed... So Noah gets tied back up and then Zoey comes back, excited that "it" has been delivered. She and Zak kiss, while Noah looks on, disgusted at the "incest".Damian shows up at Lily's, he's back from Lisbon. He's found the Oakdale students at the film festival and also contacted a friend in the government, and there is no evidence that Noah went to Lisbon. Damian's afraid that something might have happened to Noah. Then Luke walks in and finds out that Noah wasn't in Lisbon. Holden still thinks that Damian is lying and has set this up, but Damian says he doesn't care what Holden thinks, he's going to keep investigating, and he leaves. In a short time, Lily hears somebody at the door and finds an envelope. It's a ransom note for Noah's release! Luke is horrified and scared and so is Lily, but Holden still thinks that Damian's behind the whole thing. Despite the warning in the note not to involve the police, Holden says he's going to the police station....Back at Noah's "prison", Z&Z drink champagne and tell Noah that now he'll find out just how much Luke loves him...or not... ![]() By now, Noah realizes that the Z's are the ones who ran Luke down, and set all this up, and he realizes it's for the money. The Z's have worked themselves up into such a state of excitement that they put tape on Noah's mouth again, and say that they've got a captive audience, so they shouldn't waste it, and start making out... ![]() When Carly gets to the hospital, she goes into Parker's room with Jack. Parker is conscious and has no lasting effects, other than a bump on the head, and having to have his stomach pumped. He tells his parents that he got the vodka out of a crate at the docks, and of course Jack tries to blame Carly's vodka business for Parker drinking. I think even he realizes how that is, though. He does tell Carly, though, that she reeks of booze. He says he'll take a first shift of staying with Parker at the hospital and Carly can come back when she's cleaned up and sober. So Carly and Craig go home, and Carly tells Craig that she's got to stop being so dependent on him. Craig says he'll leave so she can rest, but that he's not giving up. ![]() At the hospital, Parker asks Jack not to tell Liberty what happened, he's so embarassed. ![]() It appears that Holden has made a stop before going to the police station, as we now see him bursting into Damian's room and grabbing him by the shoulders and yelling, "Tell me where my son is!" ![]() The kidnap storyline continues tomorrow. Previews show Lily getting another ransom note, this one for Luke's release, and somehow Luke has been lured or finds where Noah is, but Zak is holding a gun on him.

I thought Jack was ok today. He wasn't totally blaming Carly - he at least put it on Craig. And he does seem genuinely concerned about her; as angry as he might be re: her drinking, it is secondary to his worry for her. I am glad Jack is aware, finally, that Carly's issue with the drinking is serious. And Craig is an enabler, big time. I like the Holden/Lily/Damian dynamics. I don't care about Z&Z. Am still a tad confused as to who they actually are, though. Are they Grimaldis or not? I am assuming how that they aren't related? Edited by cycworker, Apr 20 2009, 04:28 PM.

A couple of things...how could CARLY leave her purse, cell on the bar...without it being stolen. It was just way too obvious that it looked like bait...and distracted me. It is strange that the Zs are siblings...was it a good cover for whomever they are....I guess. Today's show does seem better than what I have been watching of ATWT lately. |

I still can't stand Zak and Zoe. This would have been a good opportunity for a triangle involving three guys but whatya know Zak's not even really into Noah! I'm not finding it that interesting that things are seldom what they seem though their previous weirdness now makes more sense. Meanwhile Damian is blamed for all this which is totally ridiculous. Even Margo is shown in previews stating that Damain is suspected of kidnapping. Damian has been a lot of things but not a kidnapper. The actors playing the ZZs are fine and actually make sense as a couple and Zak has a great body but if they are just a couple of money hungry kidnappers, why should we care? Should Luke be punished for being so pigheaded? This storyline just reminds us of Luke and Holden's faults. They both are guilty of extreme tunnel vision when it comes to Damian. Their attitude could cost Noah his life. If Damian wants to help then one of them could tail him or work with him to make sure if he can be trusted. But neither wants to give him a break and just start screaming any time Lily suggests he may be sincere. Meanwhile Luke trusted Zak and Zoe partially because Luke did not want to listen to any of Noah's thoughts that Damian could be sincere in his attempts to reconnect. Guess in the end Damian will be the hero but after suffering through this mess, will we care? IMO the Parker storyline is much better. Craig makes lots of sense about Parker's behavior being normal for a teenager but Carly is probably a bad influence indirectly. So there's some complexity to this with shades of gray. Jack of course has to simplify it all by blaming Carly and Craig for everything. Funny how family counseling never seems to come up, just the blame game. But this is still the most interesting and realistic storyline right now.

cycworker, I think, and HOPE that we can safely assume the Z's aren't related. ![]() flashy, strange as it may seem to you, I've lived in many places where you could safely leave your purse, etc unwatched at a bar, and particularly when the bartender is kind of looking out for you, as in Carly's case. ![]() RichB, I agree that Parker's storyline is being done much better than the crazy Z's and the kidnapping. And as for counseling, well, good idea, but you know that everytime they try that, it is totally and never accomplishes anything. IRL I can say that a family I know of that's going through a divorce, has their kids in counseling....

The Z&Z storyline reminds me of the Swashbuckling pirates of Scotland that went absolutely nowhere, but ate up entirely way too much airtime. I just don't get it. Neither character is funny, they are borderline gross, they are just another random bunch of newbies who will be gone once this storyline plays out, so why even bother to get invested in them. The writers are so ridiculous in thinking this is supposed to be entertaining and it doesn't help that I am completely over Nuke, that I just don't care what happens to Noah. This manufactured drama is so over the top and uncreative, I'm shocked that any of this makes it past the first draft. |

I know JJ is at boarding school, but where is Sage? And where are Lily's other children? All these soaps forget about the kids and just bring them out once in a while. It's so irritating. Maybe if they remembered they had other children at home they wouldn't have time to cheat on each other or go around drinking and causing trouble all the time. I know Carly is pregnant in real life. I wonder if her drinking storyline is going to let her go to rehab somewhere so she can go on maternity leave. I like the Casey and Allison storyline. They are trying to get things going but taking it slow. Smart with their family histories and their own problems but they seem good together to me. |
