April 27, 2009 1:00 PDT By Zachary Hug Martha Byrne is joining the cast of "General Hospital" So, this weekend at Stagecoach, we kept hearing buzz about the possibility of Martha Bryne coming to "General Hospital." Of course, many of you know her for her longtime stint as Lily on "As the World Turns," and also as a script writer for "The Bold and the Beautiful." We did as much snooping as we could, and then we finally got a chance to talk to Jason Thompson, who confirmed it for us: "I'm really excited, there's a lot of good stuff coming. I just heard that Martha Byrne is going to be joining the show, which is great. It's always good to have someone shake things up -- and especially when it's someone who's had such a distinguished career in daytime." We can tell you that she'll be playing Mayor Floyd's wife, Andrea, but the details of her storyline are yet to come. Keep checking back for more!

Calif. where GH is filmed I think the mayor character is played by Jon Bolger (ex- Philip on GL) and the grandson of Ray Bolger the actor who played the lion in the Wizard of Oz. Of course I stopped watching GH before Luke/Laura, when it was still Dr. Steve Hardy, Nurse Jesse Brewer and Lee Baldwin as the lawyer. So I have no idea who anybody is on the show for the last 25+ years. halways

Newbie Posts: 17 Group: Members Member #57 Joined: September 3, 2008	I hope Martha is treated well. That show can be brutal on new people. Love 'em and leave 'em, in the dust, so to speak. Wonder if she talked to Julie Pinson and Jon Lindstrom about their experiences there? Is she commuting or is she moving?
