Things are building up to the big who's the daddy reveal for the quadsome. :waiting Henry's working overtime to convince Vienna that he longs to be a father to their child, while she's 1)doubtful that he really means it, or that he means it for the right reasons, and 2)not wanting to hurt Katie and Brad.

Katie and Brad, meanwhile, are confronting the faux doctor, who tells them that he just said what "she paid me to say". From there, Brad and Katie go to Memorial and get a nurse to look at the medical records. She says the baby is fine, then gets an odd look on her face, and says she'll go get a doctor to explain things to them. When she's gone, Katie looks at the records and realizes that the invitro failed and that Vienna is pregnant, but not with Brad's baby! :cry

Henry really wants to tell Brad and Katie the truth, and he wants to keep the baby. Vienna's not up to that yet, but agrees to go return Botbaby to B&K, and see where things go.... as soon as they get to B&K's, it all falls apart.... :eek

Meg's got her plan in play at The Lakeview. She's dressed up and goes up to Dusty, who's sitting with Johnny before it's time for him to leave on a play date. When Johnny leaves, Meg tells Dusty she wants to talk to him...in private. Paul's in Paris, and Eliza's at Emma's, so they have time.... :waiting She knows that Paul's been skulking around, watching her.

In Dusty's room, she tells Dusty that this is a mistake, and walks out, but catches a glimpse of Paul in the hall. Of course, she knew that, but she had to make sure. :rolleyes So she knocks on Dusty's door, and when he opens it, she starts kissing him and pushes him back into the room, and tries to start undressing him. BUT... she's so stupid, staring at Dusty with one eye and at the door with another eye, that Dusty knows something is wrong, and calls her on it. She finally tells him that her plan is to push Paul as far as she can toward madness, and then she'll have everything she needs to get custody of Eliza. Dusty says she's an idiot and putting herself in danger. She says she'll do what she has to, and leaves....

Paul's down at the bar when Dusty walks up to him and tells him that things aren't the way they look. But, that if Paul hurts Meg, it will be the last thing he does... :eek

Paul goes home and confronts Meg with the fact that he knows what she was up to. However, he still doesn't realize that nothing really DID happen between Meg and Dusty. :hmm He tells Meg to pack up and leave, and that she'll never see Eliza again. :cry Meg asks what she can do to make him change his mind, and he says, "You can beg!" :wacko

Katie's in tears and Brad's not much better. Katie can't believe that their best friends would do this to them, and Vienna tries to explain what happened, but this doesn't make Katie feel any better - Vienna got pregnant by accident, when Katie and Brad tried so hard and couldn't manage that... :cry

Vienna starts feeling so guilty and sad that she says that she and Henry still want to give Katie and Brad the baby. They can tell it that it's adopted, like lots of kids are... :smack Obviously Vienna isn't caring squat about Henry's feelings, as she knows he wants to keep the baby. :gaah Katie and Brad listen to Vienna and ask Henry what he thinks, Henry can't fool them... :clap Brad tells Henry and Vienna that they need to move out.

They pack their things, and as they're walking out the door, Brad tells them to wait... they've forgotten to give back their key. :shutup

Back at The Lakeview, Henry and Vienna are sad, but Henry tells Vienna that now at least the truth is out in the open, and they can keep their baby. :heart

Katie, meanwhile, is crying in Brad's arms, mourning the baby of theirs that Vienna lost. Brad tells her they can have a baby some other way, but Katie says she just wants to grieve. Botbaby starts crying, and Katie tells Brad to get that thing away from her, but then says wait, and holds the doll close, sobbing. :cry

Meg asks Paul how he can humiliate her like this, but Paul says that everytime she touched Dusty, kissed him, she was humiliating Paul. He says she can't just stare at him with hr big, brown eyes, she's got to talk, so Meg talks.... Paul listens, and then asks, "What now?" and she says she wants to stay. Paul tells her yes, but there can't ever be anything at all between her and Dusty, or anybody else. She can stay...for now. Paul walks out and a furious Meg grabs her purse and runs out. She goes straight to Dusty and tells him that because of him, her plan has failed, and even worse, she's afraid to make the wrong move, afraid that she won't be able to see her baby... Dusty tells her she has options, but she says she doesn't want to listen to him, and leaves...

Terri C was awesome today, and so was Brad, really. :2thumbs Vienna and Henry tried, but I wasn't feeling it. :hmm

Meg is such a dumbass I can't believe it, and Dusty just can't keep his nose out of anybody's business, can he? :smack

I think this baby sotry is a good case for why they shouldn't be rushing stories so. No way shoudl Brad and Katie have figured the whole thing out today, the same day as Henry says he wants to be a father, the confrontation occurs and the friendship is over. That easily should have played out over a couple of shows at least with a cliffhanger of Katie and Brad first seeing Henry and Vienna without showing us what happens. The show is just missing too much potential drama with these fast paced stories.

Having said that though for what we got, I thought the acting was terrific. I was especially impressed with Ewa and Trent and I felt far more for Vienna than I felt for Katie. What got me was that Katie never realized the sacrifice that Vienna was willing to make by giving the baby to them even knowing that Henry was the father. Vienna intended to keep her word and was so anxious to make Katie's dream come true that she was willing to make that sacrifice. That seemed to never dawn on Katie and she doesn't want a baby if Brad isn't the father. :rolleyes Now I think it would have caused all kinds of problems and I would rather have seen a lengthy conversation as they talked all of that out but that would have been better than Katie focusing on the lie rather than on the length that Vienna was willing to go for her. I don't think Katie and Brad should have still taken the baby but I would like to have seen the conversation focus on more than just the lie.

And now I suspect we'll have some way to mend the friendship :rolleyes

Meg is a dumbass but Paul is a heartless bastard that totally disgusts me :cuss

I agree about the rushed storyline, even though I'm glad it's going fast. :shutup I'm :lol that I was more impressed by Katie and Brad's emotions and you by Ewa and Henry's. I think the reason I wasn't feeling Ewa's was because she is just so all over the place all the time that I seldom get a feel about whether what she's feeling is deep and true or if it's just the emotion du jour... :hmm

Paul IS disgusting. :puke

I agree with both of you about the FabFourParentalUnits. As much as I really want this story OVER....I could have easily watched a more long drawn out saga over this business. And KATIE does make me :puke

Maybe Patty might feel like adding a million :puke since she is back online???

I still want PAUL and MEG together.

DUSTY was alot better than I figured he would be.

I kind of only paid half attention today, since I can't stand either storyline, but I have to say that I agree with Judy. It really bugged me that all's Katie focused on was the lie and not the fact that Vienna was willing to sacrifice her and Henry's baby for Katie's happiness.

As for the Meg and Paul stuff, it's just plain stupid. That Paul's a loser, but Meg's an idiot. I guess they're a match made in heaven. I could really care less about either of them, though, they do have a cute baby. The only reason I want them together is so I can just FF through the scene without missing a character that I like.

I can understand why Katie was focused on the lie. She felt betrayed by both but especially by Henry who is supposed to be her best friend and was never really on board. Then he was suspiciously too protective of the baby so its Henry's part in the deception that hurt her the most. And I think when Vienna offered to give her and Henry's baby to them as an adoption both Katie and Brad looked at her as if to say " Are you crazy?" They knew that Henry really wanted to keep the baby because of his recent behavior so Vienna's offer seemed pathetic and insincere. :rolleyes Terri was excellent as were the other three but they were more understated which allowed her performance to stand out. I could definitely see these scenes on her Emmy reel for next year's awards. :2thumbs

Each actor did excel with the script they were given.

I still think MOST of the STORYLINE sucks BIG BABIES...and the best part of this whole business has been the BOTBABY.

KATIE might have had a great day from what she produced from her script but that script sure lacked substance and original clear thought.

I still think that biggest MISSING POINT was attempting to keep VIENNA in a safe and productive mode. I kept wondering if KATIE was going to start a cat fight with a pregnant woman.

Katie would rather have Vienna and Henry disappear than have to deal with them, even to fight. The worst part of this story, other than it being yet another baby story was the way it provided storyline for both Bratie and Henrienna. I'm hoping tptb will now seperate the two couples with two totally different stories. After all Bratie work in TV and Henrienna the restaurant biz. This will allow a lengthy break while Katie has time to forgive Henry and Vienna. Plus maybe Kim could stop coming up with these cockamamie "reality shows" and just focus on Oakdale Now. :gaah
