Noah and Luke are brainstorming about the foundation and things they can do. Noah comes up with the idea of taking some sick kids on a cruise. Luke thinks that's an awesome idea, and Lily does, too, and in fact thinks that they can probably use one of the Grimaldi ships. :hmm Luke is uncomfortable asking Damian, so Lily says she'll go talk to Damian about it. But when she does, Damian flat out says that there's no way he can help, not even with a small ship. The Grimaldi shipping line is in transition, so this idea won't work. Lily is taken aback and heads over to Lucinda's office.

Lucinda's called Holden to come over on some flimsy excuse, when really she wants to talk to him about Daiman. Holden fills her in on Damian taking Lily to NYC, and Lucinda's jaw drops. Holden reassures her that he thinks everything with Damian is under control. :hmm

Then Lily shows up and tells them what Damian said about not being able to let them use a ship. Lucinda suggests that she look into Damian's affairs. Lucinda promises to be discreet. Lily says, "oh, for the first time in your life?" :shutup

Craig's still in jail, but still not charged. Isn't that illegal or something? :hmm Carly comes to tell Craig that she's talked to Lucy and that Lucy promised to help prove Craig's innocence. Craig insists, very strongly, that he doesn't want Lucy involved in this in any way, because he doesn't want her involved with Dusty anymore than she is already. When Carly leaves, Jack asks, "Is lover boy ready to talk?" Carly tells him that he really needs to put aside his feelings for Craig, and look for the person who's really guilty.

Lucy's with Dusty right then, as a matter of fact, still trying to make herself deal with the fact that she and Dusty both know that Craig isn't guilty. Dusty isn't helpful at all, he says that Craig may not be guilty this time, but he's being punished for the bad things he's done in the past... :smack

Carly's made Jack think, so Jack comes to see Dusty. He tells Dusty, "I heard you moved in here. Are you wearing Craig's clothes now, too?" :shutup Jack asks Dusty what he was doing at the time that Cesar was killed. Dusty says he can't remember, and acts insulted that Jack would even suspect him of being involved. :waiting Jack leaves and Lucy comes in, saying that she's off the hook. She talked to Craig and he told her that he doesn't want her to try and prove his innocence, and that he's not worried about regaining custody of Johnny, he'll take care of that himself later. Dusty, though, tells her that Jack is looking at Dusty, and Dusty thinks that he and Lucy need to manufacture some evidence against Craig. :smack Dusty's theory is that if Craig goes to trial, he'll NEVER regain custody of Johnny. After all, he asks Lucy, what kind of person would Johnny grow up to be if he's raised by Craig Montgomery? :gaah

At home, Lily asks Holden why he said he would try and get along with Damian, if he doesn't mean it. She gets Holden to agree to ask Lucinda to back off.... Holden calls Lucinda, who says it's too late, she's down at the docks, as they speak , checking into the Grimaldi shipping operations. And, she says, Damian lied, the shipping is going strong. Lily's worried for Lucinda's safety, and sends Holden down to the docks to get Lucinda.

Damian, meanwhile, is talking to Luke and Noah. Although he can't provide a boat, he's talked to a guy who has offered his ranch in Montana to be used as a dude ranch for the kids. The only question he's asked Damian is, "When can you come?" Of course Luke and Noah are thrilled, and Noah tells Luke that "things really happen fast when this guy's involved!" :biggrin

Dusty and Lucy are now at Metro. Dusty's got some kind of journal, that he says contains code stuff about the gun smuggling, and they've got to find a way to connect that with Craig. Just then, Carly walks in and asks them what the hell they're doing there. :waiting

Dusty says that he's doing what the cops should be doing. Carly asks, "break into my club?" :shutup Dusty shows her the ledger, and says he found it at Metro. Carly says that they don't use ledgers to run Metro, OR Midnight Sun... she's definitely suspicious of Dusty. Dusty says he thinks he's a second set of books that Craig used to smuggle guns. Carly asked Lucy if Lucy agreed with Dusty, and she said she doesn't know what to think... :waiting Carly asks Dusty for the ledger, after all, if it was found in her club, it's her property. Dusty refuses and says that it's evidence. So Carly tells him to go ahead and call Jack and tell him to come down to Metro and arrest Dusty and Lucy for trespassing. :biggrin And before you know it, Jack walks in. Dusty hands Jack the ledger and says that this connects Craig with the drug smuggling. Jack has switched on his detective on duty switch, and keeps questioning Dusty as to whether or not the ledger is genuine...

Carly's gone to the police station where Craig tells her that his lawyer hasn't had any luck getting Craig out of jail. The judge says that the police shouldn't be penalized for carrying on a thorough investigation. :smack Craig says well, at least there isn't any evidence against me. Then Carly tells Craig about the ledger that Dusty is claiming to find. She tells Craig that she told Dusty she doesn't believe him, but she's afraid that Jack might. :waiting

Jack isn't cooperating with Dusty, and Lucy finally loses it, telling Jack and Dusty both that she can't take anymore, she's going to tell the truth.

Now Carly's telling Craig that Lucy was right there with Dusty, backing him up, while Dusty showed Jack the ledger. Craig is stunned, and says he can't believe that Lucy would betray him like that. :cry

At the docks, Lucinda tells Holden that Grimaldi ships are going out all the time, but that nobody knows, or will admit to knowing, where they're going. Suddenly, they hear a sound, and somebody's facing them, holding a gun! :eek It's some kind of security guy, and he herds Holden and Lucinda into an office and calls "the boss", saying that there's a problem. Lucinda tells the guard that she's been ill and was just on a walk to get fresh air, and that her son-in-law came to see that she was alright. Just then "the boss" shows up.... Damian! :biggrin

I seriously want Damian to be a good guy, and I love him when he's in good but tough guy mode. :2thumbs

Dusty has really gone into a dark place. I'm glad that Lucy is going to tell the truth, anyway I hope she sticks with that thought... :fingers

What's this Montana connection all the time with the Oakdalians? :hmm :waiting

Well, I don't know if Damian is connected to the guns. I think we're supposed to wonder about that, but I don't want that to be the case, so I'm not going to believe it until I have to. :hmm

It looks to me like Fredo must be working for Damian and Kingsley Malta is so hard up for income that they are smuggling guns to make a profit. He may be using the ships that were meant for Midnight Sun as a way of expanding. :smack This is only my own guess cause I haven't read any spoilers. I would like Damian to be a good guy but I wonder why he would feel the need to pull a gun on Holden and Lucinda if he were. :hmm AS far as Dusty, he's as bad as Jack wanting Craig to be guilty. The difference is Dusty has no problem falsifying evidence while Jack actually wants to be go by the book. Glad Jack saw right through Dusty. :biggrin I just wish the case against Craig could involve people who are more impartial (no Margo or Jack). There's no one who has Craig's interests except for Carly. We haven't even seen his lawyer ever. The best part is seeing Lucinda investigating. Glad to see her finally with something to do! :2thumbs
