Everybody's running around trying to help somebody today. ![]() Lucinda's trying to help Lucy, even going so far as to tell her that it's obvious Lucy needs a man in her life. Lucy says that what she really needs is her father to forgive her. ![]() Dusty's calling Meg, who's ignoring his calls. Dusty is frustrated that Meg is still putting herself in danger by living with Paul. ![]() Dusty decides to tell Holden that since Holden is Meg's brother, he needs to take care of her and keep her safe from Paul. Although Holden acts like he isn't paying much attention to Dusty, he does end up going to Fairwinds. ![]() Paul asks Meg exactly how things stand between them and she says she's here to stay. So Paul wants to know exactly what that means, and she says "maybe as a wife?" So now Paul's thinking with his other brain, and says, "completely a wife, body and soul?" And Meg says yes. So they're starting to make out, in preparation to a trip upstairs, when Holden walks in. Amazingly, Paul tells Meg that he'll wait for her upstairs. and Holden tries yet again to get Meg to move in with him and Lily. She insists she can't leave Eliza with Paul, so things remain deadlocked. Now, Paul actually yells downstairs to Meg, "Meg, are you coming?" ![]() Now, before Paul walked in and started asking Meg how things stood with them, Meg and Eliza were on their way out for a walk in the park. Now, the stroller's still in the living room, and supposedly Eliza is in it, but..... and what about when Meg goes upstairs? Holden leaves and Meg goes upstairs. Paul has champagne ready, but when Meg isn't responding like she means it, Paul gets nasty and shoves some lingerie at her, and snarls, "Go on, put it on for me like you did for Dusty!" ![]() Carly's being a little helper, too. She finds Craig and Johnny having breakfast at Al's and tries to get Craig to forgive Lucy. Craig is adamant that that's not happening, but, you know Carly... she invites Craig to lunch, and later, calls Lucy and invites Lucy to lunch, also. Things don't go well though, and the lunch doesn't even happen. Lucy does find out, though, that Dusty is working on visitation with Johnny, and that makes her happy. Carly tells Craig to leave, because she can't believe he's so cruel. Craig angrily asks her if she's blackmailing him- He forgives Lucy or else he won't be seeing Carly. ![]() Carly reminds Craig how many people, over the years, have forgiven Craig for things he's done, and tells him to man up and forgive his daughter, like she's forgiven him. Craig looks thoughtful. He admits that Carly's right, and says he'll never forgive himself if Lucy leaves his live. Carly's happy enough to give Craig a kiss on the cheek before they head out to find Lucy.Lucy hurries over to Dusty's suite and tells him how happy she is that he's working on visitation with Johnny. She then says that she's ready to go back to East Africa, unless Dusty's willing to tell her that there could be a future for them. Since Dusty can't say that, she tells Dusty that she'll be leaving town. ![]() Lucy's packing, and getting emotional and then calls Lucinda and tells her that she needs Lucinda's help. ![]() Meg finally admits to Paul that she can't make love with him, she doesn't love him, she can't forget how things have changed, and she's moving out. Paul snarls that she isn't taking Eliza and she says she knows it, but that she's going to fight and get back custody of their daughter. ![]() By the time Craig and Carly get to the Lakeview, Lucy's checked out. While Carly and Craig stand there looking stricken, we see Lucy at the Mall, on that one bench, and Lucinda and Johnny's babysitter and Johnny walk up. Lucy has asked Lucinda to arrange for Lucy to tell Johnny good-bye. Lucy tells Johnny that she'll be back someday and that she'll set up a web cam so they can see each other sometimes. Poor Johnny is sad and wants to go with Lucy, even though she tries her best to make him believe things will be okay even when she's gone. When the sitter takes Johnny, Lucinda makes Lucy promise that she won't stay gone forever. Lucy promises, and then rushes off to catch her plane... ![]() Craig and Carly are pounding on Lucy's door when Dusty walks up and tells them that Lucy's going back to Africa, that she said this isn't the place for her now. Craig asks, "Are you telling me I drove her away?" and Dusty replies that he doesn't have to say it, Craig said it himself.... Meg's called Holden to come pick her up and he does. Paul is being a real and won't even let Meg give Eliza a hug before she leaves, and he tells Meg that she's going to regret this! ![]() Well, other than today being the day that Lucy leaves town and Meg moves out of Fairwinds, the show was pretty much a waste of time. And in fact, even those two things don't warrant watching it.

Soooooo Meg's moving in with Lily and Holden and Luke, Faith, and Natalie and Ethan. This is just as bad as everyone moving into Emma's. Meanwhile Paul and Eliza have a HUGE mansion with several rooms collecting dust! I just wish if tptb want to save money on sets, DESTROY FAIRWINDS ALREADY AND TAKE PAUL WITH IT (and have Eliza rescued just in time). Then give Meg her own place. She's in her late 30's but comes across like some lost 21 year old with no direction. All she's worried about is Eliza, but what about her nursing job? Speaking of Memorial what's up with doctors leaving to help third world countries on a moment's notice? Wish we could have seen Lucy explain all this to Bob! I hope they make Meg a stronger character now that she's fighting Paul for custody. Actually she needs to go back to work to show she can support herself and Eliza. Maybe Bonnie will crawl out from under a rock and represent her. Today's show was too little too late for Craig and Lucy closure. Suddenly Lucy's getting help/advice from Lucinda and Carly's trying to bring them together. Unfortunately there was a lot of talk about what we already know and the only action was Lucy leaving which leaves things open ended with them rather than create any closure. Dusty ain't interested so that leaves Lucy coming back someday to reconcile with Craig.

My thoughts exactly, about Meg. She definitely is too "old" to be behaving the way she does, and, GET A JOB ALREADY! Heck, from the size of Eliza, Meg's maternity leave is way over with.

If Lucy wasn't going to stick around, I would have preferred to not waste all this time on her exit. I don't really care if Craig or Lucy reunites. The Paul and Meg stuff is just ridiculous. They need to get these two characters away from each other. Far, Far away. |
