| Craig's a car thief - Friday; and Parker quits school! | |

Jack's at work and can't be at Carly's bright and early to get Parker to hand over his car keys, so Carly's left to do it. You can imagine how well that goes.  Parker storms out of the house, keys in hand, ready to drive off, when.....   The car's gone! Parker comes back in and accuses Carly of taking his car, but as she points out, why would she ask for his keys if she had moved his car?  So Carly calls Jack, who arrives just then, and so now Parker accuses Jack of having the car towed, but Jack denies it, and calls a friend of his to try to locate the car.... he gets a call, and he and Parker leave, but not before Jack tells Carly, when she asks about the car, "it isn't good...." Craig, meanwhile, is at the diner, telling Janet that he's realized that Jack is right that Parker's car is a problem, and he's taken steps to help out. He says that things "have a way of working things out.." To make a long story short, the car is at a chop shop, totally stripped down. Jack drops Parker off at home. By then, Craig's there, and although he's let Carly know, by kind of talking around the subject, that the car won't be a problem... Carly wonders, "WTH did you do, Craig?"  Now Parker tells Carly and Craig that his car's been stripped. Craig says he guesses that's one less thing to worry about, but Parker says that he's going to use his insurance and get another one. Oops.  Carly reminds him that he didn't give her the paperwork to fill out, and that his temporary insurance expired just 3 hours ago.  So now Parker tells Craig to give him a check to buy another car, but Craig says it's not happening.  Jack's gone over to the diner and tells Janet about Parker's car and she puts together stuff that Craig said to her and tells Jack that she believes that Craig made all this happen. So then Jack, instead of being kind of happy that the car's not around anymore, rushes over to Carly's to out Craig.  While this drama unfolds, Holden and Meg are talking about their appointment with Bonnie, who will be helping Meg get Eliza back. Meg is on the verge of breaking down, but Holden tells her to just be patient. He asks her if she's thought about going back to work at the hospital and she says no, she's not up for that...  Holden leaves her and goes home...Lily's there, but not alone. Damian's with her and they're talking about the cruise for the foundation. It's on again, since now Damian can let the guys use one of his ships. AND the dude ranch is still on, too, later in the Summer. Lily's just delighted. Damian asks her to come on the cruise with him and the boys. She wants to, but then Holden comes in, and he doesn't think that's such a good idea. Barbara's back in town, and looking great.  She stops in at Fairwinds to see Eliza, but Paul doesn't want her anywhere near her. Babs can see that Paul's not exactly "right" and listens to him talk about how things stand between him and Meg. She leaves and looks for Meg, and finds her. She pleads with Meg to go back to Paul, but Meg says things have gone too far for that, and she's not stopping until she gets Eliza back. Meg compares Paul raising Eliza to James raising Paul, and asks Barbara if that's what she wants. Barbara does an about face and tells Meg that she'll help - what can she do? Meg wants Barbara to move into Fairwinds to make sure that Eliza is okay, and eventually Babs agrees. Now to get Paul to agree... Meg walks into Holden and Lily's just in time to hear the tailend of the talk about the cruise, and Damian says that the kids will need the best medical care. Holden says hey, Meg, that would be a great job for you... Meg flies off the handle, "Oh, so I can't have my baby, so just get me out of the way and I'll get over it..." She runs out. Damian is disturbed to see her so upset, and later he finds her in Java. He sits down with her and listens while she vents.... soon, Damian's charm convinces Meg that she should hire on as the nurse on the cruise... they go back to Holden and Lily's to tell them the good news. Holden and Lily have been "discussing" why Lily should or shouldn't go on the cruise. Holden asks her what she'd do if he said he was going on a cruise with Carly. Lily laughs and says she'd poke so many holes in that boat that it would never leave the dock. But, she says, this is different. Holden is still against her going. :waiting.Holden and Lily are happy, of course, that Meg will be a nurse on the cruise and then Lily tells Damian that she's decided not to go. But Holden pulls her aside and tells her that he doesn't want her to make a decision based on what HE wants...  With Holden's blessing, Lily tells Holden that she WILL be going on the cruise. Damian and Meg leave, and he says he'll talk to Lily once he has more information. After they're gone, Lily tells Holden she can see through him - he thinks it's safe for her to be on the cruise now that Meg will be there... Barbara goes to Fairwinds and starts trying to talk Paul into letting her move in, but she isn't doing a great job of it and Paul figures out that Meg's talked to her. She admits that, but not that Meg sent her there, but of course Paul knows better. "I can't believe she's turned my own mother against me!" Paul throws Babs out, and she warns him that he's heading to the dark side, and that he'll lose everything.... At Carly's, Jack tries to get Craig to admit that he took Parker's car and had it stripped, but Craig won't play, so Jack then tells Parker that although he has no evidence, he knows, after talking to Janet, that Craig's behind it. Parker yells that he wants Craig arrested, but Jack says he can't, since he has no evidence. Parker's throwing a real tantrum but Jack insists that he's going to take Parker to school and they leave. After he drops off Parker, Jack tells Janet about what happens, and she says well, bottom line, at least the car isn't an issue right now... Now Carly tells Craig that really, he shouldn't have put himself in the middle of this. He wonders what the "bloody problem is... the car was a problem, now it's gone, isn't that a good thing?" Carly says that now Parker hates Craig and Craig says he can deal with that. After all, Parker's 16, next week he'll hate somebody else.. Carly says yeah, me... Then Parker walks in with his baseball stuff and a duffle bag and announces that he's quit school! Then he leaves to go on a walk, since he doesn't have a car. Carly totally loses it and starts yelling at Craig, blaming him for everything. They go in the kitchen and she tosses back about 6 drinks, one after the other and then announces she's going to look for Parker. Craig grabs her and says she isn't in any shape to go anywhere, and she smacks him. Colleen ZP looks great, and it is so good to have her back in Oakdale. Previews for next week show Paul coming face to face with... Rosanna. Also, Carly, at the station, apparently being arrested, and I'd guess it's for DUI... |

I wish they wouldn't preview returns like that. We all know but the non-spoiler/internet people didn't, but now they do. Great to seeing Barbara again. Loved the ending with Carly and Craig. |

Teaching a kid by breaking the law. IF it was more clear that CRAIG did not WASTE any of PARKER's trust fund...then I might have been more understanding. PARKER sure showed them. |

Why does Parker have to quit school? Until recently he was a good student and he could have graduated early, then maybe get his trust fund because he wanted to be inancipated and then maybe marry Liberty. Instead he's doing everything a** backwards! So now what can he do? Work at Mickey D's? At least get his GED, the fool! AT this point I'm hoping Liberty gets a new storyline without Parker maybe dating a hot new guy. This new cruise thing looks like an opportunity to take the show out of the studio and on a real ship, maybe to promote some cruise line or more likely a period of time off for Noelle, Paolo, Marie and Van.
