Craig and Carly have come up with the idea that Parker would benefit from family counseling, and so an appointment has been made with a shrink who's been recommended by Dr Michaels.  Of course there's some conflict when Craig inadvertently breaks the news to Jack and Janet before Carly gets a chance,  but logic rules and Jack agrees to it if it's just him, Carly and Parker. Carly says she'll tell Parker, and does, and quite nicely, too, even though Parker is still very angry and throws out some very hurtful words... he says, though, that he'll meet her there, he doesn't want to go with her. So of course Carly ends up drinking... and then leaving for the appointment.  Paul's still running around in some farm town, apparently he and Eliza spent the night in a barn. Now he's still got to get his car fixed and buy milk for Eliza. On top of everything, he spots Rosanna again, and starts running after her, yelling, and swinging Eliza's carseat like a yo yo...  Again, Rosanna eludes him.  In Oakdale, Meg is pleading with Barbara to talk Paul into bringing Eliza back if he calls Babs. Babs says she will, but Meg doesn't really trust her, so then Lisa goes upstairs to talk to Barbara, and while she's there, Paul does call! Lisa listens outside the door while Barbara begs Paul to come back with Eliza. What Lisa doesn't hear is that Paul is asking Babs to wire him a bunch of money, he'll call later and tell her where to send it. Lisa can tell, though, that Babs isn't telling her everything she knows. Damian's worried about Meg, she hasn't had anything to eat...  Damian and Meg sit down with Lisa and ask her to get even closer to Barbara than she is, as a friend, and if she can pick up anything about where Paul is, she should let them know. And Lisa says she'll do that...  Now Paul's car's fixed, and he stops at some general store in what looks like a barn. This time he's smart and brings Eliza in with him, while he goes to buy milk. And....wait for it.... guess who's the salesperson in the barn? Yep, Rosanna. Paul's shocked, "You're in a coma in Switzerland!"  "I woke up!" Apparently, Cabot Motors went down, the victim of a Ponzi scheme, so Rosanna isn't rich anymore and is working at this store... she says she's not going back to Oakdale. Paul's laughing and saying that "this" isn't exactly her scene. She thinks Eliza is beautiful, and is surprised when Paul says that he's not going back to Meg.  Rosanna still acts, though, like she thinks Paul is just out riding around with Eliza, and says that she'll get his milk, "You need to get this beautiful baby back to her mother!" She puts together a bag of baby food, organic (let's hope it's not any that Lily made... ) and snacks for him, "enough to last until you and that beautiful baby get home..." He asks her if she's in touch with anybody in Oakdale and she says no, and that she wants to keep it that way. With a smile and a wish of good luck, Paul and Eliza drive off....On the way to the counseling session, Carly is stopped for DUI by Barry, a "do it by the book" cop, as Carly calls him. She tries to talk her way out of the walking the line test, and when she has to take it and stumbles, she first says it's her shoe's fault, and then blames it on her allergies.  She ends up down at the police station.  Meanwhile, Jack and Parker have said hello to the shrink and are wondering where Carly is. Jack calls Janet and asks her to see if she can find Carly. Janet goes to the house and lets herself in with a key, and finds the vodka bottle on the kitchen counter. She calls Craig, and he gets right over there. Neither of them likes seeing that vodka bottle there...  Then Carly calls Craig and asks him to come down to the station, she's in trouble. Janet tells Craig she's supposed to call Jack if she hears from Carly, and Craig points out that, "YOU didn't hear from her..." Then he heads to the station...Jack and Parker have given up on the appointment and Parker heads home. Jack learns that Carly's been picked up and storms over to the station. Parker finds Janet at his house and can tell that she knows something about where Carly is, but Janet just tells him that she's sure that Carly and Jack will tell him all about it once they walk through the door. Craig's in the interrogation room with Carly, he can't believe she did something so stupid! She begs him to help her and he says he'll try. That's when Jack gets there.... Carly's humilited and sorry, and begging Jack to do something... Jack says she's in the system, and what kind of an example is she for Parker? Carly's trembling....Damian takes Meg to Holden and Lily's and his heart breaks as she pulls out that bib of Eliza's and tears up...  I guess they have to have Meg going through men like a hot knife through butter, as how many times can she whine and cry and act stupid with ONE guy until he runs? I liked Rosanna and Paul together today. Not a good sign for Rosanna... One of the previews for tomorrow shows that Vienna wants to have a ceremony for the baby, and Katie shows up with a bunch of balloons and Henry tells her to get the hell out of there. Also, we see Henry saying he's going to sue WOAK AND Katie... |

I thought it was a good show overall. Nice farm used for the Rosanna location shoot. Loved that they made good use of Lisa and Barbara. Rosanna's money troubles actually make sense with what's happened to GM. After losing Cabot Motors its frustrating to think that Craig got the rest of her money. Ro may say that she's avoiding Oakdale because Carly's working with Craig but we know she's gonna return eventually.  Paul seemed so normal with Ro but for Ro ignorance is bliss. As with Craig, Paul's misdeeds will be forgotten if tptb reignite PRo. I hate Paul with Meg now but I could maybe accept him with Ro if there's no third party involved. Now I'm hoping Craig, feeling sorry for her and trying to help Parker would revert the trust back to Rosanna. I think giving the trust back is the only way Parker can move on and get a life! While I can understand Parker's anger, he was SO cruel to Carly bringing up her drinking problem and shaming her. He's right that she's been hypocritical but he's taking no responsibility for his actions which clearly have stressed her out. He's as self absorbed as Kkkkkatie! Janet was right to admonish him for not respecting his mother. Of course if they were all in therapy together this could be hashed out. Still, Carly's DUI charge has to be an important wake up call for her. Maybe if she gets help for her problem, Parker will follow.  |

You throw out some interesting thoughts, Rich. I was enjoying a 'normal' Paul and Rosanna yesterday, too, unfortunately, don't we all know that once they'd get together as a couple again, all semblance of normalcy would fly out the window? I hate that. I don't know if Rosanna would TAKE the trust back, even if Craig wanted to give it to her. And anyway, is that even something that Craig could do? After all, that trust was given to Parker, and in Craig's role as guardian, I don't think he has the power to give it back, or give it to somebody else, etc... As for comparing kkkkatie and Parker... yeah, they're alike, BUT..... Parker is a teen, kkkkatie an adult (in age, anyway ) 'nuff said.....

Craig couldn't just decide to give the money in the trust back to Rosanna. It doesn't work that way. And even if Rosanna wanted to take the money back it would depend on how it was written. Some trusts are irrevocable and there is no option of taking it back later. I thought Paul and Rosanna were really boring but then I always thought they were when they were a couple. Why is Paul not upset still that they last time he saw her she was trying to kidnap him and take him to an island? Then he had her hauled off to jail for kidnapping. Are we supposed to forget all of that? Wouldn't that be a good reason for her not to return to Oakdale? They were also married but nothing was addressed about the fact they obviously aren't married anymore. I thought it was all poorly written and earthy Rosanna doesn't work for me. Sadly I don't think this is going to be a wakeup call for Carly and she will continue to spiral out of control. It would be good however if it is a wakeup call for both Craig and Janet who have helped hide her drinking so they would stop doing that. People are only hurting her now by helping her cover up her drinking. |

I agree that helping Carly cover up her drinking is doing her way more harm than good. Stop it already.... OK, I was when you talked about the Paul/Rosanna stuff and asked if we were supposed to forget all that... Well, I sure did. So there ya go....

I would be soooooo happy if PAUL returned his baby to have the MOTHER raise her and then run back to be with ROSANNA. Which ain't happening. This possessive FATHER gene that PAUL seems to carry forward from JAMES STENBECK...at least JAMES allowed BARBARA to raise PAUL. PAUL should take that idea and let MEG raise his child then come back and get the teen away from the farm later on. I really enjoyed PAUL and RO. LISA and BARBARA were so refreshing to see again!!! |

Actually the last time Paul saw Rosanna she was communicating with him spiritually to say goodbye. She actually gave a sweet goodbye how she will always love him. She had slipped back into the coma after she was arrested for switching the DNA test that proved Paul to be the father of Meg's baby which she lost. At that point he had forgiven Rosanna and felt guilty for causing her to slip back, feeling he destroys everyone he loves. He's hardened up a bit since then. Ro was really desperate at the time to hold on to Paul so that's why she kidnapped him. She's clearly much more mellow and doesn't feel the need to cling to anyone. Of course if anyone turns on Paul he will lash out so anyone getting close to him is doing so at one's own risk!
