Henry's packed up all the baby things, and plans to take them over to the Pediatric Ward at Memorial, but he's forgotten one, and when it shows up, it brings him to tears.  He and Vienna seem to be doing a really good job comforting each other. Henry's first instinct is to distract themselves, but Vienna says they need to grieve, and that one step at a time, they can begin to heal.  Henry leaves to take the baby things to Memorial, and plans another stop, as well...  At Katie and Brad's, it's all abut Katie as usual.  She's curled up on the couch, refusing to eat....  She thinks she should take some pamphlets about dealing with the loss of a baby over to Vienna. Katie's got these left over from when she lost her baby... Brad reminds her that at that time, both of them just wanted to have some time to themselves, but you know Katie!  Brad finally convinces her to just send Katie and Henry an e-mail, but Katie's left her laptop at WOAK and doesn't want to go get it, so Brad says that he'll go. As soon as he leaves, Katie grabs up her pamphlets and rushes over to The Lakeview.  Janet's making lasagna and trying to keep Parker from finding out where Carly is, but Parker has that psychic sense, ya know...  and besides, he sees the empty vodka bottle in the trash. He loses it and starts yelling at Janet, who tells him that he's lucky she's not his mother, because she wouldn't put up with that mouth of his!  Parker looks kind of shocked....  Sage gets home and Janet and Parker put up a united front to keep her from being upset... and by then, the lasagna's ready.... Jack's yelling at Carly at the police station and Craig comes into the interrogation room and tells Jack that he can either be Carly's ex-husband, or he can be a police officer. So Jack tells Carly she can sober up in the drunk tank, and she gets taken away. However, after what seems like a few minutes, she's being brought back to the interrogation room to see her visitor... Craig.  Jack goes to Carly's and Janet brings him up to speed about Craig having been there earlier. Of course, Jack's furious and starts yelling and laying down the law to Janet. But Janet's not having it. She tells Jack that earlier she'd come down hard on Parker for his smart mouth, and now she knows where Parker gets it.  Jack calms down a little bit, and he and Janet take the kids out to the farm for a few days.Craig's trying to get Carly to admit that she has a drinking problem. He says that he feels guilty, he knew about her father, being an alcoholic, and shouldn't have pushed her to go into the vodka business. Carly's brushing off everything he says, and asking him to post bail for her, but Craig starts asking her a series of questions... he's gotten them from an AA pamphlet and her answers indicate she's an alcoholic. Carly isn't having that, but Craig says he won't get her out unless she promises to deal with her alcoholic problem, and that means AA. At first Carly won't promise, but when she sees that Craig's serious she says okay...  So Craig bails her out and takes her home.When Carly and Jack get home and Carly realizes that Janet's been there, "cooking and cleaning" (she smells the lasagna, ) and that the kids are out at the farm, she starts yelling that Jack's going to take her kids away, and she's got to get out to the farm.... Craig tells her this isn't a good idea, and anyway, what's she going to tell the kids.... and didn't she say she'd start right away to deal with her problem? Carly says she can't hold things together and concentrate on anything as long as she's got to worry about Jack taking her kids, so finally Craig agrees to drive her out to the farm. Vienna welcomes Katie with open arms, and forgives Katie, saying that really, there's nothing to forgive... Katie gives her the pamphlets she brought and tells her which ones helped her the most. She tells Vienna that she and Brad, just the two of them, had a little memorial for the baby they lost, and Vienna wants to have one, too.... Katie starts to leave, but hesitates and Vienna realizes that Katie wants to come to this memorial, after all, Katie says, for a long time, she and Brad thought that the baby was theirs... Vienna says that in Sweden they have a saying, "Where there are hearts, there are butts..." Katie asks what that means and Vienna says it means, "Where there's love, there's space..." So Vienna says she'll bring flowers and Katie says she'll bring.... and Vienna says, "make them white..." (balloons....) Brad and Henry come face to face at WOAK and Henry tells Brad that he's going to sue WOAK and Katie, too... Brad tells Henry that won't help anything, but Henry says that he and Vienna have lost something valuable... Vienna has left Henry a message to meet her at a certain spot, a lake in a park. When he gets there, he asks what's going on and she tells him. She has a bunch of roses and tells him that they should each throw a rose into the water, and when they do that, they should say something about the baby...so they start, telling the baby things like they'll always love it, and each rose stands for something, like hugs, first steps, etc...  Then Katie shows up with the balloons and Henry is furious and tells her to leave and that if he'd known this was her idea, he wouldn't have come... a tearful Katie gives the balloons to Vienna and asks her to say good-bye to the baby for her... Henry and Vienna let the balloons go, they represent the baby's spirit. Well, Vienna does the balloon thing, Henry can't bring himself to do it, because Katie brought them. Later, back at The Lakeview, he tells Vienna that now, he doesn't want children, because he knows how much loving them can hurt. Vienna hugs him.... At home, Katie tells Brad what happened, and says that she knows Henry will never forgive her... Carly and Craig get to the farm, and Jack answers the door. Craig asks nicely if they can come in and Jack lets them in. Carly apologizes and asks Jack if she can have her kids back. She says she knows she's got a problem, and says she's going to go to AA. Both Jack and Craig look surprised, but Craig tells Jack that yes, he and Carly have discussed this at length. Jack says he'd like to keep the kids for a few days, but they come downstairs and Sage really wants to go home, so Jack agrees. Sage asks Carly where she was, and Carly honestly says that she'd had too much to drink and got into the car. Sage says that that was a mistake and Carly says she knows it was, and that she was arrested. Jack is watching her carefully and taking hope in the fact that she's telling the truth about this.  When the kids are upstairs getting their stuff, Jack tells Carly, "I'm trusting you..." and Carly says that she won't let him down. At Carly's, she promises Parker that "this won't happen again". Craig wants her to go to an AA meeting that night,but she says she'll go in the morning. Craig says he's spending the night on her couch, even though Johnny, who, being Craig's son, is very popular, is having an overnight. Carly tells him not to miss it, go home, and she'll be fine until morning. Wanting to believe her, Craig leaves.... A sad, sad show today, and well done, I thought. I really liked Janet's attitude, with Parker, Jack AND Carly. Jack, once he calmed down, was heartbreakingly hopeful... Brad is being so wise... Vienna is being a saint, and part of me can understand it, it brings back memories of a long ago Vienna, but part of me can't...and poor Henry.... Katie.... I want to think that she's acting out of love for Vienna and Henry, but I just can't help thinking that in her own mind it's still all about her.  Previews look good... for one thing, Ali's dad appears. And Carly ditches her AA meeting... |

I just watched the preview. Is this the same actor that played Dr. Larry McD before? It didn't really look like him, but it's been a really long time since I've seen him. Thanks for the re-cap. edit... I just looked up Ed Fry and I don't think it's the same actor. Opinions? Edited by Suz, May 22 2009, 05:51 PM.

Yes that is Ed Fry. He just looks different. I of course look just like I did when he last appeared  He's on for two days next week and I believe will be back again after that.

From what I remember (and the pic I just saw), Ed had/has a really square jaw. It wasn't just the normal aging, but rather it just didn't look like the same man in that clip. That was a very short clip though.... I'm looking forward to seeing him next week when he is speaking more and the old body language is back. I really hope he and Susan have a nice run-in. The CLIP...I replayed THE CLIP about 5 times...because I had a hard time recognizing ALI...then wondered who the GUYS were next to her...because CASEY even looked dressed up...and then DADDY DEAREST on top of everything.... The show was good. JANET was my favorite of the day....then CRAIG. Of course the cast excelled. It is sad to watch the FAB4 current babystories end so sadly but thinking a new round might be around the corner....

Both Katie and Vienna have been through a lot with the miscarriages and in between the deception regarding Vienna's baby. I can understand how Vienna would forgive since she wanted Katie to do the same. Plus these two don't seem to have any other friends to confide in.  As a contrast we have Henry's reaction. Keeping himself distracted would be normal as well as trying to forget that it happened. It took a lot of courage to be able to grieve. But he needs to blame Katie because he knows her so well and how its always about her. So I can see how he would stay away from her for a while. Yet, I think a lawsuit is too cold, considering how close they have been. Is it worth losing their friendship over this? It's time for these four to part for a while and go off into seperate stories. Time for some new WOAK story or a complete change of pace for Henrienna. Really liked Janet on Friday's show. FINALLY someone is knocking some sense into them. But I wonder if Janet can be a real superstepmom and actually get Paker to go back to school.
