Parker blackmails Carly! - Wednesday; & Carly lies about her AA meeting...

That is, when he's actually asleep and not laying there awake worrying. Janet understands totally, and tries to encourage him by saying that things will get better. Craig's at Carly's, and determined that she's going to an AA meeting. She's fighting him all the way, but he insists on taking her to the meeting, and watches her walk through the door before he leaves. But of course, Carly doesn't stay for the meeting, and tells another member that she thinks they've got a good thing going and all, and good luck with that, but it's not for her. Then she heads for Java... Craig's left his wallet on the coffee table at Carly's and Parker finds it and takes out $300. Craig comes in, looking for the wallet, and asks Parker about it. Parker denies knowing anything about it, but Craig doesn't believe him.... Parker doesn't care what Craig thinks... Parker catches Carly in Java, pouring some booze into her coffee. "Hellooooo, mom..." Later, Craig finds his wallet and discovers that the money's missing, and knows that Parker must have taken it. When Carly walks in, after spritzing her mouth with breath freshener, he asks her how the meeting went. She says that it went well, but that it isn't for her, she knows she can stop drinking on her own. Parker walks in, with a shopping bag from an electronics store. Craig confronts him about the missing money, and Parker denies taking it, and, giving Carly a "look", tells Carly to tell Craig what happened... Carly says that she took the money, she didn't want to go to the bank to get some. Craig of course knows that she's lying. Parker goes upstairs and Craig tells Carly that she and Parker were so obvious, but quite the team, he suggests, sarcastically, that maybe they should "work the airport..." He leaves, and Carly yells for Parker... At Al's, one of the customers, a travel agent, bestows a free vacation to Florida to Janet and Jack, after she tells him that she's been having some family problems. She's thrilled and rushes to the police station to tell Jack. He's excited, too, but says no way can he go, the trip has to happen by the end of the month, and not only is there work to consider, but all the family issues... Janet's disappointed, but mans up, but then Jack changes his mind and says WTH, let's go! However, right after that, Craig runs into Janet and Jack. Janet goes to buy a swimming suit and Craig tells Jack that Parker stole $300 from Craig's wallet, and Carly lied to cover him. Jack realizes that Craig is telling the truth, and is trying to help. Both he and Craig say that even more than Parker stealing the money, they're worried about why Carly lied for Parker... Later in the diner, Meg tells Craig about the honeymoon trip she and Jack are going on, but she can tell by listening to Craig, that there's more trouble involving Parker and Carly... Lily's trying to help Meg occupy her time, but Meg is too worried to do anything frivolous with Lily. Damian's talking to Luke and Noah, Luke seems to be unhappy that Damian's getting involved with Paul and Eliza... After all, Damian's not been any help, and hasn't he, in the past, like when Noah was kidnapped, told Luke to leave things up to the police? Damian and Noah can't understand how Luke feels, really, and after Luke rushes off, Noah comes up with the idea of having Meg make a video to be put online, where she talks about Eliza and asks Paul to return her. The hope being that the video will go viral... so they go over to Lily's, Luke's there, and they tell Luke, Meg and Lily about the idea. They all think it's a great idea, and Noah says he thinks that they should make the video at Fairwinds, so they all trek over there. Meg makes a tearful plea, after first asking Damian, "what should I say?" Damian looks like a lovesick goat throughout, especially when Meg is talking for the camera, I thought he might break into sobs himself. After they're finished, Luke is left feeling much more loving toward Damian, and Lily, too, appreciates what Damian's been doing. Later, Damian and Meg watch the video online, and elsewhere, Edna watches it, too, and murmurs, "Rosanna's friend. I knew I didn't like him!" At home, Carly's confronted Parker, saying that he has to pay Craig back. Parker, who isn't giving an inch, says that he wonders if Craig and Jack would like to know what Parker saw Carly doing at Java. He also tells Carly that Craig is just acting like he cares about Parker so that he can "get into your pants!" Jack arrives and tells Parker to empty his pockets. Jack finds the money that Parker hasn't spent, and asks about it, Parker lies and says it's left over from when he bought the car, but Jack knows he's lying. Parker goes upstairs and Jack asks Carly why she lied for Parker. She says that she didn't lie, she did take the money, and gave it to Parker, to help him feel better. Jack sees right through that and says that he can't go along with letting the kids stay with Carly, and yells to Parker to come downstairs. He tells Parker that he's not giving him a choice, Parker will be staying with Jack, AND getting a job to pay Craig back. As soon as they leave, Carly angrily shoves stuff into the shopping bag that Parker brought home. I don't know what it is, if it's Craig's stuff, or Parker's, or what, but she goes looking for Craig and finds him at the Lakeview, meeting with somebody who Craig hopes will distribute Midnight Sun in the Seattle area. When Carly shows up, shoving the shopping bag in Craig's face and yelling at him, Craig asks for a minute, and then tells Carly, "I think you just cost me the Northwest region..." Carly tells him that he's stabbed her in the back by running to Jack, and tells him to stay away from her family, and her! She rushes out, with Craig thoughtfully watching her go... Well, I really liked the show today, other than the Meg/Damian stuff. Craig, Jack and Carly were so effective, and even though I hated where the story went, I was spellbound watching them. And that Edna saw the video and made the connection! Jack drags Parker into the diner and tells Janet that the trip has to be cancelled, but that he WILL take her on a honeymoon...sometime. He says that Parker will be bussing tables until he's paid back Craig. Jack has already talked to Henry about it, and Parker is sent into the kitchen for an apron.

I wanted Jack to do this back when Parker set the house on fire and he decided to send him away. FINALLY Jack's taking some positive action. Meanwhile Carly's getting worse, allowing Parker to blackmail her. Soon she'll just be lying around on the couch all day, guzzling booze while watching game shows! (not the soaps, takes too much concentration). Guess with Paul's motives exposed, Ro will get in trouble with the coop and both will be kicked out. Ro showing up in Oakdale is not a moment too soon. Maybe she can knock some sense into her sister!
