Parker actually seems to be doing okay working in the diner. Of course, money's at the bottom of it, he wants some, and he's starting to realize how hard a person has to work at a low level job, in order to make a buck. ![]() Liberty's into prom, and is planning on going with some of her girlfriends. There's a special dress she really wants, and Janet gives her a credit card and tells her to go for it. Parker overhears, and decides that he's going to ask Liberty to go to the prom with him, since they did talk about it once. But when he asks her, she turns him down. Too much water under the bridge. Of course, Parker doesn't take it well....Craig's hanging around out of sight at the hospital when Carly shows up for her AA meeting. He sees her stop short of going in, though, and this prompts Craig to go to the diner and tell Jack and Janet that he's out of ideas on how to help Carly, but she needs help desperately. It was really awesome to see the 3 of them brainstorm, and it was funny, too, cause Janet started telling a story about how, a long time ago, a guy named Frank, a really hot, cute guy(oops, sorry, Jack! ) dumped her and she was so down but then she started giving cooking lessons and that took her mind off it. ![]() So then Craig has a great and rushes off... He goes to Carly's and pitches the idea to her of coming up with a concept for designer WATER and possibly using Parker as a spokesperson. Of course Carly's initial reaction is to turn him down, but good old Craig turns on the charm and by the time he leaves, she's agreed to think about it, and is actually sketching some ideas when Parker walks in.... ![]() Henry's still obsessesed with suing WOAK and Katie, and Vienna's trying to talk him out of it. Then she leaves for Memorial for a follow up gyn appointment. At the same time, Katie's in bed, depressed and not feeling well. Brad goes out to have some breakfast and she has an too, and pulls out a handy dandy home pregnancy test and takes it, and yep, she's with child. Off SHE goes to the hospital, and she and Vienna run into each other. Katie's already seen the doctor. So has Vienna, and Vienna is fine, and Katie is going to have an ultrasound. Vienna is having mixed emotions and tells Katie that she can't be with her right now, and takes off... ![]() Henry and Brad have crossed paths at The Lakeview, and Brad forces Henry to talk to him, and pleads with him not to go ahead with his suits. Henry says he can't let it go, because he doesn't know how, but Brad keeps talking, and headway is made. ![]() Katie shows up at Vienna's door and the two women talk and tell each other how much they love each other, and Katie wants Vienna to "be there for me". Vienna promises to try. Katie says she hasn't told Brad the news yet, and wants to wait until she's sure things are going to go alright. She races home and barely beats Brad there, and jumps into bed. Brad looks at her and says she must be feeling better, as she's glowing... ![]() Parker comes home in a horrible mood and takes it out on poor Carly when she tells him about the Designer Water campaign. No way is he going to be the spokesperson, and no way is Craig going to move back in and tell him what to do. He storms upstairs, leaving Carly devastated. She grabs her coat and ends up at Yo's, and asks for Ginger Ale, but then changes her mind, and orders vodka. ![]() Parker comes downstairs, ready to go work a second shift at Al's. He picks up Carly's sketch pad and sees what she's designed... his face says a lot.... ![]() Meanwhile, Craig stops in at the police station and tells Jack about the designer water idea. And Parker as spokesperson. Jack is surprised but thinks it could work, he tells Craig that he can't believe he's saying it, but he thinks Craig has had a good idea. Craig kind of gasps, "You mean I did something good?" and Jack cracks, "You wanna hug it out?" Craig spins on his heel and is outta there. ![]() I really enjoyed, again, Jack, Carly, Janet and Craig. ![]() The pregnancy story is stupid, but I WILL say that I was impressed with the way Henry, Vienna, Brad and Katie handled the stupidity.

"Ya wanna hug it out?" is the best thing I've heard come out of Jack's mouth in ages. The look on Craig's face was priceless. I wish Jack could be like this all the time, instead of the caricatures the Snyder men have become. As for Katie, Brad, Vienna & Henry baby story.... I just don't care about this anymore. Move on writers. I love Parker, but I'm sick of his teenage angst. Even though I know it's not completely out of character for teens to stomp around, slam doors and just generally brood.... it does gets old to watch & listen to. I think the young man who plays Parker is outstanding & I hope working & earning his own money brings on some emotional growth to his character.. |

That line of Jack's was too funny, and so was his expression when Craig turned around and walked out. I liked their interaction today but I don't know where their brains were. 'Oh, we'll just give Carly a new project... That'll cure her alcoholism.' HELLO?!! She needs professional help. And so does Parker, btw. I thought it was really creepy/stalkerish when he just out of the blue expected to be taking Liberty to the prom. I'm really over his little punk act. Military school doesn't sound like such a bad idea anymore! |

![]() The speed of this storyline is a bit much.....BUT I found it exciting and "creative" sortof...for the writers to have a "SWITCHED ROLES - Pregnant woman / mourning mother" . I just like how I was able to compare VIENNA and KATIE. THEN KATIE had to state that she was NOT going to inform BRAD and VIENNA had to keep the news a secret herself.:rolleyes |

Parker's attitude is really annoying and its so clear his lack of respect for Carly is the major driving force that leads to her drinking. Then her drinking causes Parker to lose more respect for her. Their relationship may be even more dysfunctional than she and Jack! But from the look on his face, you could tell Parker looking at Carly's sketch, realized how hard she was working and felt bad for giving her attitude. Looking at previews, how sad that Carly actually brings home a fellow drunk who gets too frisky so Parker has to throw him out. Maybe its better to have Craig around after all. I guess it makes sense that Katie would turn out to be pregnant cause I know two women who were having problems conceiving, were told it was very unlikely and surprise! each had a healthy girl. But its too much for the writers to keep focusing on this. It would be refreshing for Katie to have some other kind of story while her baby bump happens to get larger. But we know its gonna be all about the Bratie baby and Henry's gonna feel jealous and unable to move on.

I haven't found much to like with the show for awhile now but Crack made me laugh. It would be nice we could get more stuff like that. Carly/Craig/Jack/Janet definitely made for a good show. |

I totally agree with that. When these characters don't have any screen time, I do an awful lot of FFing. |
