My weekly E-mail from Soap Opera Weekly included this commentary by one of the SOW writers: �From West Coast Editor Janet Di Lauro: After a month on the job as YOUNG AND RESTLESS' nuMac, it's time to grade Clementine Ford. The fourth actress to tackle Mrs. C's granddaughter deserves an A for easily settling into Mac's shoes. Ford's Mac is more of the earthy, real Ashley Bashioum variety. Plus, she's got the noble act down pat, and there's plenty of chemistry with Billy Miller's Billy. ************ Is the person who wrote this watching the same show we are????? No one I know thinks this actress is doing a good job. What about you all -- do you like her, or do you think she's dull as dirt? One of my friends on another message board suggested she got an "A" for Awful or Atrocious. -Kara |

Kara, I don't think she's at all right for the role. But I'm not surprised at her getting that great progress report, those dorks never, ever, are plugged in to what the fans see and think.  On another subject, have you seen "Brad Carleton" on B&B yet, as Bill Spencer, Jr?

NuNuNuNuMac is AWFUL with a capital A! Seriously, she has no charisma or acting talent. I miss Ashley Bashioum's Mac. She have have had a perma-scowl on too, but at least she had chemistry with the guys. |

You're right, Barb -- these soap mag writers often see things WAY different than the fans. I love Don Diamont on B&B! After so many years of boring stories about Brooke/Ridge/Taylor/Rick/Donna etc., it's nice to have a new character who brings so much life to the story. I especially like his interaction with Stephanie. -Kara |

I liked Ashley Bashioum, too. And I liked the last previous Mac (the one who worked in the coffee house with Kevin). But CF has no personality, no charisma, and no chemistry. She gives us no reason to believe why so many male characters on the show are supposed to be in love with Mac (Billy & Raul now; JT previously). I just don't understand why they haven't already recast her. -Kara |

I find this Mac to be so boring it is hard for me to even stay awake long enough to stop my fast forward button when she is on screen. They really need to recast her or write her out of the show all together. |
