Margo's distracting herself from Adam's death to such a great degree, with treating Riley like a long lost son, that Tom and Casey are worried. So Tom sits down with Margo and tries to get her to see what she's really doing, and Casey and Riley go with Adam and Noah to help out with an interview that Noah has lined up with a Lieutenant who was in Afghanistan and who knew Noah's dad. Riley is uncomfortable being there when he learns that a service man is going to be there, and tries to get out of it, but before he can leave, the interview starts. When it's over, Noah and Luke take off, and Riley confronts Casey and asks him if he's got a problem with him. Casey says yes, and it's because he thinks that Riley is taking advantage of Margo.... Hunter races into the office, where Emily is at her wits' ends, trying to figure out how to get the paper online, and tells her that he can't work today, and maybe tomorrow... Before Emily can find out what's going on, he runs out. Emily calls Alison and asks her if she can track down Hunter and find out what's going on with him. Ali does find Hunter and he tells her that his mother had a stroke and has been put in a nursing facility in Chicago. He wants to see her and knows he should, but somehow he just can't make himself go... Ali offers to go with him, and Hunter takes her up on it. ![]() After Hunter sees his mother, he walks out, looking stunned. He tells Ali that his mother told him that the man who Hunter thought was his father, wasn't his father! Hunter didn't press her for more details, because he thought it would put more stress on her, so he just walked out, and later he and Ali had a good talk. Turns out Hunter's dad was gone a lot and died when Hunter was young, and Hunter's mother was a college professor, very opinionated and funny.... Ali and Hunter agree that families are weird... Later, Hunter wonders if Casey will be angry that Ali went to Chicago with Hunter... Ali laughs and says that Hunter has a lot to learn about what makes relationships work. ![]() Tom's gone to talk to Bob about how Margo's dealing with Adam's death. Bob doesn't think it's anything to be too concerned about yet, and in fact, he thinks that Tom may be being a little overprotective... While Bob and Tom are talking, Tom gets a call from Casey. Casey has gotten home and sees Margo sitting on the couch crying, while she watches a video of Adam's 12th birthday... Casey asks Tom to come home, and then goes inside and hugs Margo while she cries. ![]() Somehow, Emily's gotten back in motherhood mode and while having lunch with Susan, tells her that she thinks she wants to have her tubes untied and have a baby! Susan thinks Emily has But Emily persists and she and Susan walk over to the hospital. Emily asks Susan if the eggs she gave, the leftovers, are still in the hospital, frozen... Susan says they should be, and goes off to talk to Bob about them.... In a few minutes Bob walks up and tells Emily that her eggs are gone... He tries to take away any fears though, by saying he's sure they're there somewhere, it's just that that department has been reorganized a lot of times... he's going to track them down.... Emily tells Susan that now that she's actually said it out loud, she knows... giggle, giggle... "I want a baby!" ![]() Back home, Luke and Noah talk about Casey's attitude toward Riley during the filming.... they wonder if Casey resents Riley being alive while Adam's dead... Noah also thinks it's suspicious that Riley didn't know his dad... he feels like there's something 'off' about Riley... Later, Luke tells Noah that maybe the thing to do is to talk more with Riley, and Noah thinks that's a good ....Tom comes home just as Margo pulls herself together. He and Casey tell her it's okay to cry and grieve, but Margo insists that she doesn't want them to all be depressed, and she rushes upstairs to wash up and then she's gonna cook... ![]() Casey and Tom talk and try to figure out what the best thing to do would be. They decide to start by helping Margo make lunch, and remember that the 3 of them are a family. Just then Riley walks in and says that Margo called him and asked him to come for lunch... ![]() They sit down to eat, and Casey is steaming as Riley worms his way deeper and deeper into the family. Afterward, Margo and Riley sit down and watch old movies of Adam.... Tom tells Casey that they're just going to have to take this one step at a time and see how things play out... ![]() Well, this stuff with Hunter's parents, or non-parent, is interesting, and I'm also interested in what Riley's really doing in Oakdale... ![]() Emily wanting to have a baby is just ludicrous, and also and .... what IS it with TIIC and this babies them????? The only thing that interests me at all about this is 'where are her eggs?'...

I would not be surprised if Hunter's real father is someone we know, maybe related to Allison? Just wish tptb felt they could have afforded a cameo appearance of Hunter's mother so we could HEAR their convo instead of Hunter telling Allison about it. As far as Riley goes, wouldn't be surprised if he has some connection to Colonel Mayer though it would be interesting if he is hiding a romantic relationship with Adam. Maybe his sexuality was revealed while in service and he was advised to leave? With Emily, the writers are clearly lacking in imagination. When they can't come up with anything for the women on the show, they're having babies! Though the head writer is female this reeks of sexism. I know Emily is getting used to the online edition of the Intruder but I wish she could be investigating a news story like she did when they paired her with Hal and with Tom. Of course now that she's no longer paired with a guy, the only storyline she can do by herself is conceive a child! Just needs some anonymous donor (translation: no need to hire new actor for a love interest) Still the missing eggs gives the story a different angle.
