There's a big live show scheduled at Metro for WOAK, to see if Vienna and Brad have chemistry. Henry's already having jealousy pangs before it even starts, and Katie's feeling kind of left out. But Brad's set up a monitor so that Katie can watch from home.

On the way to Metro, Brad goes over to the farm to see Liberty before her prom. She looks beautiful and Brad's proud and has Janet take a picture of them together. Janet's kind of bummed, because at the last minute, Jack's had to bow out as chaperone. :waiting

Parker's at home, moping about not being able to go to prom. Carly gives him some money and tells him to go bowling. :lol :lol You know he's not gonna bowl, though, and sure enough, he heads for a tux store and rents a tux... :smack As he's walking out of the store, he runs into Craig...

At home alone, Carly's tossing back the booze when Craig shows up at the door. He tells her about seeing Carter in a tux and the two of them rush off to the prom, to stop Parker from making a fool of himself... :wacko

Too late, though. :biggrin Liberty and Janet have arrived at prom, and Liberty's gone up to a guy who her friend likes, to show her friend how easy it is to talk to the guy, and they end up dancing... outside, Parker tries to get in, but is told to beat it. He then grabs a friend, Nick, and talks Nick into taking Parker in, as Nick's date. :smack Inside, Parker stands out of sight, watching Liberty dance... :waiting

At Metro, an actor who's supposed to play the part of a waiter doesn't show up, and Kim's frantic. The show is supposed to be a how to have a good date. Vienna says she knows just the person, and calls Henry. :smack By then, Henry's gone over to watch the show with Katie, and at first he refuses to fill in for the actor, but eventually he says yes and heads over to Metro. But immediately he starts sabatoging the shoot. He starts out by spilling wine on Brad during a run through, and the two men get into a yelling, shoving match. Vienna and Kim calm them down, and the actual show starts... Henry just can't help himself, though, and messes things up again, to the point where the shooting has to be stopped.... Kim explodes and says that even though Vienna was awesome, this idea of Vienna and Brad hosting the show has to end.... :shutup Later, Henry finds Vienna sitting at the bar at the Lakeview and tries to explain his actions... :waiting

Brad goes home and is surprised when Katie seems to be able to identify with how Henry felt. :gaah Things calm down, though, and pretty soon, Kim calls and says that the studio was overwhelmed with calls after the shooting, and everybody loved it, so the show is back on! :lol Brad calls Vienna to let her know, and she's not going to answer, but Henry makes her, and she gets the good news and is really pleased. But then she tells Henry...... :smack :smack :smack Henry's still insecure, but Vienna gets on his good side with one of her sexual fantasies... :lol

At Katie's, Brad tells Katie that this is a good thing, with one of them always working, they can provide for the family... :huh :huh :huh .... Katie's like, yeah... :hmm

Craig spots Parker and goes over to him and thinks he's convinced Parker to leave quietly. Ha! :smack

Meanwhile, Carly and Janet are talking and Carly isn't really acting logically, due to the fact that she's been drinking.... Janet finds out that Parker's at the prom, and of course isn't pleased. Craig says that Parker will be leaving, and not causing trouble, and then Janet and Carly start arguing, Janet is angry that Parker might ruin the prom for Liberty, and Carly's angry that Janet seems to be forgetting Parker's feelings in all of this, and of course, there's the little matter that Carly's pretty loaded, although she's hiding it well, except to Craig, who can tell that something's going on with her...

Suddenly there's a commotion, and Parker and the guy Liberty was dancing with, the captain of the football team, are on the floor fighting. :smack The fight gets broken up and Craig gets Parker and Carly out of there, and gets them home. Carly and Parker go inside, and very little is said between them, other than Carly telling Parker he made a big mistake and didn't do himself any good. He goes upstairs and she goes into the kitchen and has another drink. :cry

Then Craig shows up and he can't believe that everything's over between Carly and Parker, as far as Carly disciplining Parker for showing up at the prom. He asks her if she's drinking again, and she denies it, and works herself up into a rage, and tells Craig that she's had it with him and with Jack telling her how to behave, and it has to stop. :waiting Craig says he just wants to help, and he's worried about Carly, and wants to help her. Carly says she doesn't want his help, but he'll respect what she wants, and will always be there for her, all she has to do is ask. He's not the kind of guy who gives up on people he loves... :muchlove As he walks away, Carly looks all alone... :cry

Liberty's prom is ruined and she gets Janet to take her home. When they get there, Parker's waiting and Janet watches from inside as they talk. Parker apologizes, and leaves, while Janet and Liberty hug. :muchlove

Why was the prom held during the day???????? :smack :gaah And why was Janet wearing a dress that showed the majority of her "girls"? :smack

And how handsome was Parker in that tux! :2thumbs

I thought BRAD acted like a complete SLUT. I do not blame HENRY or KATIE feeling "left out" at all. VIENNA...it is more easily to KNOW and BELIEVE that VIENNA would never want to cheat on HENRY...especially with BRAD.

I like your title, Barb....BUT I thought the show was more the female version of Testostorone....centered around CARLY and JANET....would ESTROGENIC be a good description??

I watched the LAST TWO episodes back to back...and this Afghani business...is so obviously fishy.

The previews were strange.

Well, if you want to use a word to describe Carly/Janet yesterday, maybe something connected to mothers and their young? :lol I don't know.... too early... :shutup

How was Brad acting like a slut? :huh :huh :huh

I could understand Katie's feelings, too, and I could understand Henry's up to a point, but he should know better than to think Vienna would get involved with Brad. That is a really weak spot in his makeup.... :hmm

HENRY's history with KATIE is enough to explain his inability to trust a true love.

That whole DATE CONCEPT that WOAKim came up with...for TWO partnered co-hosts?? It is one thing to try and think that KATIE and HENRY would be "understanding" but even as a OAKDALE NOW viewer...these viewers should all ready know that BRAD and VIENNA are partnered. Sure they should be able to work well together but the whole DATING 101 issues plastered like that for all to see...HENRY should have just cracked the bottle open over BRAD's head....then served up his mistress.

BRAD's "day" was truly ill-conceived...first re-visiting his PROM ANTICS but for his daughter...THEN his LIBBY's mother asking BRAD to come back to the prom as NOT HER DATE but as a chaperone.... :rolleyes ...then having a sitdown dinner DATING 101 discussion with VI's partner as the waitstaff...then really treating HENRY as second class....that is what I was seeing.

I agree that Henry's issues with Brad and Vienna working together are weak. In the end Vienna got him to admit that he's simply still too angry with Brad over Vienna's miscarriage and the whole surrogate thing though he seems to have forgiven Katie. :huh Pretty lame excuse. It's more likely he's jealous. After all he used to work at WOAK behind the scenes and might want to be part of it again. He could have tried to convince her that this would take time away from her duties at the diner but instead he's behaving silly and immature.

Parker was pretty lame too getting into a fight with a guy over who dances with Liberty. Parker could have been more cool, maybe hit on another girl to make her jealous. But we all know Parker's not all there mentally. He needs to give up Liberty the way Carly needs to give up booze! :devil

I wouldn't say Parker is not all mentally there. He's a teen whose hormones got the best of him. And he's "in Love" with someone that keeps sending him mixed signals. Anybody notice when Lib was talking to him at the farm and said there was nothing going on with Tony that she aid "it's not the way I FEEL about you." No past tense so she's still telling him she cares about him. She needs to tell him it's over and stop hinting it might not be.

I didn't think Janet was any prize in her fight with Carly either and I would love for Jack to hear how little she thinks of his son. Plus her dress was totally distracting, wondering if she wasn't going to have a wardrobe malfunction.

Craig really irritated me when he questioned Carly's parenting. Does he even remember he has a son? In reality the calm conversation Carly had with Parker did more for him than any yelling would have done. Parker realized he was wrong.

I can't even comment on the stupidity of Brad and Kaite. Trent and Ewa deserve much better than being stuck in this mess.
