Has Carly gone too far? - Friday; & the Margo & Riley show premiers....

Parker tells her that this has got to stop, that neither one of them is doing any better... she keeps insisting that she's not drunk, or 'impaired' and Parker insists that she shouldn't have been driving. Parker goes upstairs and Carly flops down on the couch ... At Fairwinds, Paul is listening to Rosanna goad Craig on, and wondering what's going on. Craig gets madder and madder and says he's pressing charges. He storms over to Carly's and says that her sister's going down... Carly begs him not to take her sister away from her again. She reminds Craig that Rosanna spent a lot of months in a coma, and asks if that doesn't make it okay for her to get a few million dollars back? Craig looks thoughtful, but doesn't give Carly the reassurance she wants, and leaves... Carly grabs her car keys and goes after him, while Parker grabs his bike and goes after Carly... Margo and Riley are making hummus. Margo admits that she hasn't even seen most of the kitchen utensils that they're using. Casey walks in and is turned off by what he calls The Margo & Riley show. Luckily, Alison shows up with coffee, and they sit outside drinking it and talking about Casey's feelings about Riley... Noah's come up with the idea of opening the box that was sent to him after his father's death, on camera, for the film he's making, and asks Luke what he thinks about it. Luke says go for it, so they go get Casey and Ali to help them. Casey lets it be known that he doesn't want Riley involved. and they respect his wishes and go out to Emma's.... Filming starts, and after Noah examines several items, he finds a picture of himself at about 3 years old, which is cute, and then finds an unassembled gun, military issue. Ali wonders if Riley would be able to put it together, and Casey thinks that would be good, really, he's wondering if Riley will actually be able to do it, so they go over to Casey's... Margo's upstairs getting ready to meet Craig at the police station. He's called saying that he's been the victim of a crime, so Margo reluctantly says she'll meet him. Ali, Casey, Noah and Luke ask Riley to put together the gun, on camera, but he refuses. He says he doesn't want to relive that part of his life. Casey says well, we're not asking you to SHOOT it... things are tense, when Margo walks in demanding to know what's going on. Casey says that a real soldier should be able to put together the gun.... with a somber look he begins to competently and quickly put together the weapon, speaking as he goes along about exactly what he's doing... jaws drop... Margo is angry with Casey and tells him to knock it off, then leaves to meet Craig. Later, when Casey and Riley are alone, Casey tells Riley that it's time for him to leave... Carly's parked, watching for Craig, she's across from the police station. When she sees him crossing the street, she starts the car and takes off, he sees her heading for for him, but before he can do anything, her foot slips and she accelerates and grazes Craig, knocking him to the ground. She stops the car just as Parker rides up and both of them go up to Craig. He's hurt his ankle, and asks Carly why she tried to run him down. She swears it was an accident, and is clearly under the influence. Parker is terribly upset and Craig takes charge, telling Parker to get Carly out of there, after all, they're in front of a police station... so Carly gives Parker the keys and he takes her home. Once they get there, he tells Carly that he doesn't know what to do. Carly is so bad off she doesn't even seem to remember most of what just happened. Parker is going to call Jack... but Carly won't let him, and sends him upstairs, then goes into the kitchen and has another drink.... Margo learns that Craig's been taken to the hospital by a guy on the street, and is glad to hear it's not serious. He says that he didn't see the car that hit him, and when she asks him about the charges he wanted to press, he says that he's had a change of heart, the accident made him see things in a totally different way... Margo asks him if the car accident might have had anything to do with what he was doing... he asks, "What? Crossing the street?" Even Margo has to laugh, and that's the end of that, for Craig anyway... Margo heads over to Fairwinds, where Paul has just called his lawyer in NY, who will be there in the morning to get Rosanna off the hook... Margo has Rosanna and Paul worried when she waltzes in and says she has some questions... turns out her questions are about Craig's car accident, and she points out that Rosanna, too, was injured in a car accident, on her way to report a crime, and that Craig was involved. Coincidence? Paul and Rosanna invite Margo to leave, and to ask the maid any questions at all that she wants to, on the way out... later, Rosanna and Paul wonder what Craig could be up to... Craig goes to Carly's, where she again swears she didn't mean to hit him, and he tells her that he didn't charge Rosanna with anything.... Carly falls asleep/passes out on the couch, and in the kitchen, Craig and Parker talk. Parker says, "she's worse, isn't she?" and Craig says yes, then Parker says he doesn't know what to do, and again mentions calling Jack. Craig says that he doesn't think Carly would listen to anything Jack has to say right now, and that they can get Carly through this. On his way out, Craig kisses a sleeping Carly's cheek, and later, Parker comes into the room and sits down on the floor next to his mother... I really, really liked the show today! All of it was done so well, and the chemistry between all of the actors in all of the scenes was just excellent! Previews are kind of goofy and funny, I probably won't be happy with seeing Henry in drag again, but the previews WERE funny...

The only thing that was kind of a disconnect for me was Craig and Margo at the hospital. Does Craig know about Adam's death? Is this just Margo in denial? Did I miss something or, is it just sloppy? I mean I assume everyone knows by now and Craig, having lost Bryant, would be right in there with sympathy and understanding for his sister. I know know, that kind of lost me there. Other than that, great show and I'm already missing Carly. Hope the next few months fly by!

I don't remember any mention of them being notified about his death....

I forgot about Katie, that's strange too. The reason I figured Craig knew though, was because Tom was talking to Bob about the death and the fact that no one from the family was asked to go to the memorial and Tom explained that was Margo's idea. So I figured, if Bob knew........so yeah, basically, I think that whole thing was poorly done, like you said.

I mean I know they didn't live together and all, but they were still biological brothers, so it would be nice if they mentioned it. Also, Craig was not only Adam's uncle, but Adam was Craig's son, Johnny's uncle. These soap family relationships are so strange and convoluted sometimes.

You know, the iic should remember that what we loyal fans have always loved is the family connections, the interactions, and those things have been sadly missing for years and years and years, and it shows in the ratings.

Not only is it unclear if Craig knows about Adam's death but does Margo know about Katie's pregnancy? I'm assuming tiic think that acknowledging the family connections like death and pregnancies takes up too much time but these life changing events could be used in each other's storylines. The timing may have been off but Katie's required bed rest and need to be calm could be a reason not to mention Adam's death to her. Or Katie's fear that the pregnancy might not last due to her miscarriage could be a reason not to tell Margo she's pregnant. But that would have ruined the WOAK story because why would she tell Kim and not Margo? A simple fix with timing of the stories would have helped. In addition, it's as though Henry and Vienna are SO desperate to have friends/family connections that they have kidnapped/adopted Katie and Brad and as a result Bratie can't be included in ANY story without Henrienna! It's strange but ever since Hunt Block left, Margo, Katie and Craig have all had seperate stories with the three hardly ever acknowleding their family connection.
