First of all, have you guys been creeped out like I have by scenes when Mary Jane talks to that cat? That STUFFED cat?:eek That is soooooo gross... did you notice the way its neck is curved? ![]() Today, Adam seems to have been busted, when his laptop falls, up in his room, and he can't get it to stop, playing some kind of presentation that Victor's latest dead wife gave, about paintings, which seems to be where he cut and pasted his own tape of her? And Victor walks in on him! ![]() Previews showed Nina saying she's having Phillip's body exhumed. And Caine is at the end of his rope! ![]() I've totally lost touch with the forging of paintings thing, this particular storyline has me so engrossed... It's great!

I kind of enjoy the scenes of Mary Jane talking to her dead cat, then hiding it under the bed when anyone comes to the door. I haven't seen today's (Wednesday's) episode yet, but I don't think Adam's been caught yet. I think he will be soon, though. The stolen/forged artwork storyline is a little confusing to me. But I was looking at "Spoilers Down the Road" for Y&R at Soap Opera Central, and I saw this one: A face from Amber's past - who may have an interest in art - further complicates her situation I've read rumors elsewhere that the guy from Amber's past who may showing up on Y&R is Deacon Sharpe -- the former B&B character who was played by Sean Kanan. Deacon is a real cad. He's fun to watch. I think it will be great if it turns out he's involved in this art theft story. -Kara |

Kara, the first time I saw Mary Jane and that cat in a scene, I didn't realize it was stuffed, and then at the end when she grabbed it by the neck and picked it up and it stayed in that position I about fell out of my chair! ![]() I remember liking the guy who played Deacon, pretty darned hot, wasn't he? ![]() The last thing I saw about Adam was him denying to Victor that he'd gaslighted Ashley.... ![]() Yesterday they introduced that Huntington's disease into Phillip's storyline, and it stirred a memory, wasn't that disease in the family of the actor who played Phillip and then left the show?

Of course being home, I've also gotten more interested in Y&R. The Adam gaslighting Ashley story is pretty interesting. The best story now (to me) is crazy Mary Jane. She is really kookoo!!!! She has a stuffed cat and she also killed a bird. She's after anyone that will get in her way. The actress is very good. Now the art story has me scratching my head. I'm not sure what's going on there. The original Phillip coming back is also a good story in the making. I've never been a big Y&R fan but lately it's been hooking me. |

Hey Patty, glad to hear you've been watching Y&R lately. The Cane/Nina/RealPhillip storyline is my favorite right now. Before this, Cane's been a pretty boring character IMO, but the idea that he worked with the real not-dead Phillip to con the Chancellor family makes him so much more interesting. And it's great to have Nina back on the show after all these years. I love the way she's digging relentlessly into Cane's past. We will eventually be seeing Nina & Phillip's son, who's now grown up. He'll be played by John Driscoll, who was Coop (RIP) on GL. The art theft story is confusing even to those of us who watch the show regularly, but I'll give it a shot at explaining. Daniel, Phyllis' son, is an artist. He had a gallery showing and sales were disappointing until a man came in & bought ALL Daniel's drawings (not his abstract paintings, just his drawings). The guy later showed up & told Daniel he was a government agent. He said Daniel's style was very similar to some well known artist who'd done a painting which was stolen from the "Sheffer Museum" (can you tell Hogan is a co-Head Writer on Y&R? ). He wanted Daniel to do a forgery of the stolen painting ... this was supposed to somehow help the Feds catch whoever stole the real one. Sounds pretty stupid to me, but Daniel agreed to do it.Anyway, the so-called government agent was an impostor. When he got the forged painting from Daniel, the next thing he tried to do was sell it to Victoria Newman. She figured out it was a con & called in a real Federal agent (although at this point, I'm not sure about HIM, either). Vicky was supposed to wear a wire & after she paid for the forgery, the Feds would move in & arrest the criminal. Well, it didn't work out that way (surprise, surprise). Some guy in a ski mask showed up & killed the fake government agent (although I'm not sure he's really dead -- I've watched too many soaps to take anything at face value anymore ) Ski mask guy also stole the money Vicky was carrying (I think it was $100,000 in cash) and pushed a pile of wooden crates on top of her. Vicky went to the hospital. JT yelled at the real government agent. Nikki & Victor fretted a lot, but apparently Vicky just had a concussion. While all this was going on, Daniel was also in the alley where Vicky was supposed to make the buy (right behind Cane's bar, how convenient). He was trying to get his forgery back so he wouldn't be implicated in the crime. Instead, I guess he's now implicated in the murder of the fake government agent. Jana is also involved in this whole thing with Daniel. Amber & Kevin are worrying a lot. That's about it, except I'd like to say I hope this art theft thing does NOT involve any reliquaries (like the last art theft story Y&R did with Brad). I also hope it doesn't serve to bring back Art Professor Adrian Korbel, because he was a boring character who got way too much airtime the last time he was on the show. And I hope they don't take us all on any more museum field trips, like the tour Victor & Sabrina had last year. -Kara |
