Waaaay too often the ones that need to be brief are dragged through the mud and the ones that would benefit from more attention and care are rushed! At least the use of cliffhangers could help keep viewers interest so they tune in EVERY DAY. At least that USED to be the goal of soaps.

I think maybe she's been enjoying bitters in her seltzer water and this makes sense to her I don't care how she tries to justify it, the viewers hate it and it needs to be stopped. The ratings have spoken and this way of telling stories is a flop. Admit it and go back to the way stories used to be told.

A cliffhanger is at the end of a show to make you watch the next day. ATWT is the anti-cliffhanger show because even if you like an episode, they show previews of a whole new group of people and stories and give you no incentive to tune in. This may be a reaction to a smaller budget, but I don't care. The show has hire a non-stop steady stream of new actors over the past few years. I would rather stop that process and just show the actors they do have more, so there is continuity day to day.

I don't know how she could seriously believe what she was saying. I don't care what the reasoning but the whole process I think has cost the show a lot of viewers. This type of story telling doesn't work, especially when they are bad stories. Too many beats are missed in the stories.

She has no clue about the very basic principles of soap writing 2. She has an overblown ego 3. She's stupid to think that the crap she puts on the show is captivating and sound storytelling 4. She's not going anywhere... TPTB seem to love her, despite the falling ratings and the resounding fan and critical criticism 5. She's going to write this show to a dismal final note, so that the fans won't protest too much when it doesn't get renewed at the next go around. 6. She must have some extremely incriminating photos or other evidence on some higher ups to be able to keep her job FIRE JP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's ruining our show!
