I'm completely in the dark about why Casey took Riley's watch. Anybody care to clue me in?

Okay, it's a little complicated, but I think I've figured it out. Casey took the watch because he figured that Riley would blame him (Casey) for taking it. Then, when he was approached by Margo about it, Casey would deny it and do what he did - which is tell Margo that Riley must have taken it just to blame Casey. Casey figures this would show Riley in a bad light, trying to put a wedge between Casey and Margo and Margo would "love" Casey, her "alive" son, again. Does that make any sense? It all stems from Casey's insecurity about Riley but also, in my opinion, from Margo's crappy treatment of Casey. She's said some pretty hurtful things to Casey in the past week. I understand the whole grieving thing and the attachment to Adam's "friend", but I don't understand why she had to be so harsh on her son, who is also grieving and confused and feeling all the horrible things that one feels when a death occurs. Hope this helps! |

Thanks, Ali, that does help, I was kind of dozing off and on, and saw the result of Casey taking the watch, but thought maybe I'd missed something deeper, or should I say, I hadn't glommed on to the fact that Casey had set it up exactly as it happened. I agree, Margo has been pretty darned nasty and unreasonable towards Casey lately, and I don't blame him for being hurt and wanting to do something...

I thik what Ali said is basically what it was about. Not well written but I htink that was what they intended. As far as margo, grief can cause you to do strange things. I remember when my mother passed away and the man at the funeral home suggesting grief counseling as he said you can sometime take your grief out in inappropriate ways on those you love the most. I sensed that perhaps he had done that as he kept stressing it lol. Although I think some of Margo's actions are for plot purposes. I was so distracted during this whole thing watching Casey's hair. I think it was different in every scene Nothing like givin away that this is taped at all different times.

OMG, Judy, Casey's hair! I was distracted by it, too, it was definitely different in each scene, and I kept going and trying to figure out if it was a different cut at a different time, or if he was pushing it into different positions or what... Maybe that's why I was clueless about what was going on.

Good grief, I spent quite a few minutes wondering what "Ali" (as in Stewart) had said, thought I missed something in the show and couldn't figure it out!!! But you were talking about this "Ali", as in "me"! I totally agree about grief and no one really knows how someone's going to react during that period, I just think they could have written it better. Like maybe Tom could try and explain to Casey that his mom doesn't really mean some of the things she says, that kind of thing. They could look deeper at grief and what it does to people. But you're right, it's all for plot purposes. And the hair - I HATE IT |

Its really tiresome the cruel way Margo treats Casey. I would say Tom is the same but we never see him in scenes with Casey so hard to say.... At least Liberty finally said SEE YA! to Parker. He's been totally stalker like and out of line so they can't even be friends anymore. Hopefully this means more scenes for Parker and Faith. Ashely is so beautiful now and has grown up so much. Too bad she's still so much shorter than Mick!

I was really glad that Liberty told Parker to get lost, finally! Even though he's sad right now, he's definitely out of line the way he acts... ![]() I like the idea of Faith and Parker as friends, but given the fact that he's gone so far beyond her in life experiences, cough, cough, sex, marriage, I would not be able to buy them as a young "couple". Not until they soras her about 20 years.

Finally watched yesterday and am glad I wasn't the only one going wth with Casey's hair! And please, they're not considering Faith and Parker are they? They're not even in the same league so to speak! No way could I buy that
