Hunter finds Alli at Old Town wanting to take her up on offer to find his real father. She's down and admits she and Casey broke up but she'll help him out. They go to see his mother again at the nursing home and bring a recording of Wagner's Tristan and Isolde to help her tell him more about his father "Tristan" and to find out why she called him by that name. She just apoligizes and says she's tired. Since they couldn't get anywhere with her, Hunter and Alli decide to check out his birth certificate to see who is listed as the father. Hunter admits that he never saw his own certificate and his mother took care of any official business that required it. Alli finds this suspicious then after a trip to City Hall, the name listed turns out to be Tristan Wagner. Hunter thinks His mother must have made the name up but Alli convincs him to look for possible men in town with that name. Meanwhile at Memorial Susan shares her suspicions again with Emily that there's no way he would sign the eggs over without knowing and have this memory block. Then, miracle of miracles, Larry shows up with a cooler containing the eggs! Larry explains that the cooler was waaaay in the back of an old freezer. He has a nurse take them to be tested. Emily is happy and grateful and as a way of apologizing accepts his invitation to the opera! Turns out Larry's a real opera fan and tells her " a person who doesn't love opera doesn't love life." They go to see the Barber of Seville, (I guess in Chicago cause since when is there a fancy opera house in Oakdale. ) She is pleasantly surprised and through their conversation she finds out from Larry he got into opera many years ago from a woman he was in love with and that they saw Tristan and Isolde. At the Snyder farm Meg's busy doing her own thing while Emma's putting Eliza down and Holden stops by. Meg says she's happy that she's alone, standing on her own two feet. Holden says he's there for her and he is happy that she's no longer tied to Paul, Dusty or Damian at all. In his room Dusty's yelling on the phone demanding to know who bought all those shares of Worldwide stock, wanting to know who is stealing HIS company. Bonnie comes by and offers legal help. She calls a frend at the SEC and finds out a holding company DI Madrigal and Associates (lots of music references today) bought out Dusty's shares. This company is the investment branch of a European company and Damian is a managing partner. She advises Dusty to buy out more shares than Damian in a bidding war but Dusty does not want to put WW at risk for bancruptcy! Dusty decides to do things the "Dusty way," go find Damian and confront him in person. Bonnie warns him not to use his fists and he can find him downstairs in the lobby. Down in the lobby Damian admits to Lily that he bought out the shares but is reluctant to admit his true reason. He throws out a lot of crap like there are complaints Dusty is a lousy CEO and he could do better and he should buy it back for Lucinda. Lily gets him to admit it was all about Meg. She warns him the last thing MEg wants is to be the prize in a fight between two alpha dogs no matter who the winner is. Then it gets a bit crowded in the lobby when Holden and Meg walk in just as Dusty and Bonnie do and Damian and Dusty go at it. Dusty accuses DAmian of buying controlling interest in WW to put him out on the street so he can have Meg all to himself. Damian tries to explain to Meg but she won't hear anymore and walks out. Then only Lily remains and Damian admits he thought Meg would be impressed because he would be bringing Dusty to his knees as payback for mistreating her. He did not think this would anger her. Lily tells him he has no clue about women and suggests apoligizing to Meg and Damian hopes Lily could talk to Meg for him (huh, what is this eighth grade?) In the end he calls his broker and calls off the share buy out. Dusty and Bonnie are sweating it out at WW when he gets the call that Damian unloaded all the stock. Bonnie wonders why DAmian would give up like that but advises Dusty that he's won and game over. Dusty says he's not done fighting Damian and doesn't want her advice. She reminds him she's charging for her time and that she is in one of two professions that charge by the hour. This makes Dusty laugh and now that he's relaxed she has her opportunity and asks him out for a dinner date. Dusty says yes. Hunter and Alli while on their search for "Tristan Wagner" meet a man with that name but he turns out to be black. At this point they decide the search is not gonna work and go to Yo's. Alli tells Hunter what Casey did and that he felt betrayed by Alli and dumped her. Hunter says to hell with Casey. He doesn't deseve a "beautiful, generous, intelligent woman like her." Alli reminds him he has to stop saying exactly what he thinks. He reminds her she advised him in regards to Jade to stop analyzing things and go for it. Then he jumps in and kisses her on the lips! Alli: "Are you out of your mind?" Huner apoligizes but admits he's totally into her and can't help and tries to kiss her again. She pushes him away saying she only wants to be friends. At the Lakeview Larry and Emily are having some after opera drinks when Susan walks in Larry escapes to the lobby while she asks Emily why's she so dressed up, for the prom? Emily explains their celebratory opera "date" and Susan again goes on her rant that she doesn't trust Larry and Emily gets frustrated and walks away. Larry offers to take her to his room for a drink to help her get away and Susan stares open mouthed as they go upstairs. A little later Emily's had a few too many while Larry suggests that HE be the sperm donor Thankfully Em says it would be too weird and will use an anonymous one. Suddenly Em's too tipsy to walk and he invites her to stay overnight since she's not able to drive and he'll sleep on the couch. She says she'll just rest on his bed for a minute. Then Larry takes her glass and goes to the couch and stares at her while she sleeps. Damian visits Meg at the farm while Lily and Holden confer on the patio. Lily tells him how Damian sold the shares back for Meg and of course Holden doesn't want him anywhere near Meg. He asks Lily to please not help Damian to get close to her. She got rid of Dusty and doesn't need DAmian. Holden may be controlling but it is silly the way Meg replaces one guy with another-Paul-Dusty-DAmian. Meg tells DAmian the same thing she told Paul and Dusty and I think even Craig, she "doesn't want him fighting her battles for her." She accuses him of using money as a weapon (well that's better than sex as a weaon, right?) This buying WW shares is like the 20,000 for Luke. He swears he won't use money anymore to manipulate people (yeah, right). She says there's no future for them if he does it again which prompts "you mean there might be a future for us if I don't?" MEg says they'll take it one step at a time while Damian has this confident smirk. The worst part of this was the dialogue for Meg. I SWEAR they keep recycling the same lines for her OVER AND OVER AND OVER while everyone else in her scenes gets the intersting ones. At this point I think she needs to have an accident which causes a brain injury like the one Holden had so we can start fresh with her character! Larry is REALLY, REALLY CREEPY! I want him FAR AWAY from Emily! Edited by RichB, Jun 25 2009, 12:38 AM.

Rich, I must say I'm reading somebody else's recaps. I laughed at that line of Bonnie's about the professions that charge by the hour. Otherwise I gave the show ...

Thanks for recapping Rich - I know it's selfish, but for me, it's so much easier "reading" what Meg has to say rather than "watching". I just can't take her anymore. I must say though, I am really liking Hunter lately, whoever he turns out to be! |

Ok, so it's a little weird that Larry wants to father a child with Emily. And also the hint about him possibly being Hunter's father... and the eggs, gone, now mysteriously found. Will Dr. Larry turn out to be one of these guys that has fertilized eggs of unsuspecting mom's? |
