OK, I was today when Margo walked into her house as the Colonel was holding a gun on Riley/Adam... didn't you just know she was going to be the one getting shot? And she was, of course. Then during a struggle, the Colonel's gun goes off and he's shot, but manages to hop away, which was pretty funny.... Then came the big reveal, Riley calling Margo "mom".... gee, are you shocked? ![]() Here's a question I had... First Margo gets a call from the VA, which supposedly, she tells Casey, says they don't have any info for him. Now, we also saw her crumble up a piece of paper, so... Did they actually tell her something else? Then that same day, Casey opens a letter in the mail from the VA with the info on Riley Morgan, saying he's dead, and sending a picture. Wasn't that sweet of them? So, how does that make sense? ![]() THEN.... why is Luke insisting on being attached at the hip with Noah? Now, we know that the Colonel's ready to do some dastardly deed, but... AND, why in the hell would Luke need an overnight bag, when the base is apparently so close that Riley/Adam can go back and forth in a matter of minutes, as did the Colonel?

Fort Leonard Wood is in the southern half of Missouri, close to the middle of the state. We pass through it when we go to St. Louis. It would be a fairly long drive from Chicago. I just googled it and the shortest route would still be over 7 hours. I've wondered about the message Margo crumbled up, too.

I guess we'll just have to chalk up that traveling back and forth to the Base to the Oakdale time warp, eh?

I enjoyed the MARGO HOME INVASION and DISCOVERY. TIME TRAVEL...is one of those things that I try to just ignore. I find it easier to ignore TIME TRAVEL when locations of settings are farther apart...and just repeat the mantra that this soap is not a reality show...so it might be a few hours travel time...but the soap is just editing to accommodate the action. I still find it more difficult in watching TIME PASS when...and a great example here...when VIENNA and BRAD and KIM go from one place to another...and HENRY needs enough time to take his make up and dress and BRA off. |

The shooting of Margo, while I knew it would happen it still had a surprise element because of the way it was staged. Winston kept his back to Margo and then instead of aiming the gun at "Riley" he laughed miniacally, pointing his free hand at Riley while turning the gun behind him under his left arm and shooting Margo. Did NOT expect his gun to suddenly fire behind him without him even turning! In fact the best scenes of Friday's show were the ones with Winston Mayer. At least there's still some mystery as to why he wanted to meet Noah alone. Of course now that he's been seen he'll use Noah as leverage probably some hostage situation. Now that Riley has said "Please don't die Mom" the truth is out-Riley is Adam. I guess next week we'll find out WHY Adam had plastic surgery and impersonate a dead guy just to return home! I think the call from the VA made no sense since there was a letter mailed to him saying Riley Morgan was killed in Kabul and even includes a picture of the real guy. That call was just an excuse for more dialgoge between her and Casey about Riley and how he does not trust him. The actual meat of the story only required 10 minutes at best so tptb had a lot of padding in the script. Nice that there was some tangible proof instead of a lot of hot air but it took too long to get there. The Snyder-Montgomery story had some nice development though more padding with the dialogue- Is Carly drinking or isn't she. Who's lying and who's telling the truth? The worst part was Carly suddenly wanting to move up the wedding date, I guess to avoid further searches by Jack for liquor in the house. Why hire a bodyguard when you can marry him? Then when Craig hesitates, she blows a gasket and calls it all off! (Oh, Craig why did you not see this as a sign?). Glad to have Rosanna showing at the diner and have a sweet aunt-nephew talk with Parker. At this point she's a breath of fresh air after Carly's denials, Craig's devotion, Jack's supsicions and Janet's advice. Rosanna told Parker how she's taking it one step at a time after losing her wealth and she refuses Parker's offer to give her his trust fund. Of course Ro's become a bit too zen for this crowd, like saying that money can't buy hapinesss. I liked the way she said she's inteviewing for a manager job at the Wagon Wheel and she and Parker joked about how prestigious the postion was (NOT!) Sweet that he wanted to tell Ro that his mom is drinking and felt bad he didn't. But I think Ro's gonna find out pretty soon. It is a good idea for Craig to have Rosanna move in but I wonder if he REALLY intends for her to live there while he's married to Carly. It's like Ro would become the live-in help. Is this supposed to be an ironic twist? At least Craig's idea is better than Jack's idea to move Parker and Sage to the farm. Janet reminds him, wisely that it won't solve anything and that Liberty would then have to move to Brad and Katie's. Anyway I'm sure Craig knows Carly is still drinking but is trying to not be confrontational like Jack. But either way Ro and Criag will end up being the alcohol police having to watch Carly like a hawk. She's gonna wish she went to AA! The previews gave too much away IMO: Margo is seen lying on the ground telling Casey that Riley is his brother. Luke's worried that Winston has Noah and that he is in danger while we see Winston grab Noah outside Java. Emily asks Larry if he created a child with Auroa Hunter, using one of her eggs and then we see Hunter and Alli kiss! |

Isn't the obvious reason that RILEY/ADAM returned as RILEY mainly to avoid being arrested instead of loved by his mother?? |
