In the press room at the 2009 Daytime Emmys, a reporter had asked Jeff Branson how he felt to possibly be one of the last winners from Guiding Light to win an acting award. I'm sorry but I beg to differ. The performances we've been privileged to witness in Guiding Light's final days, weeks, months have been nothing short of brilliant. If there is not at least one GL actor, if not more, nominated in each of the major acting categories for the 2010 Daytime Emmys; it would be a crime. So many to choose from! Grant Alexander, Beth Chamberlain, Tina Sloan, Crystal Chappell, Jessica Leccia, Kim Zimmer, Mandy Bruno, Justin Deas, Gina Tognoni, Ron Raines, Marcy Rylan, Zack Conroy. These actors put their heart and soul into their scenes and it showed. I guess we'll wait and see next year. Edited by markymarc, Sep 17 2009, 01:46 PM.

Marc, I agree about the 2009 performances. I just can't imagine some of these actor not being nominated next year, especially Crystal Chappell. |
