As an Indie soap lover I am a bit surprised by this website's coverage on their Indie soap page. Out of 16 'articles/interviews'- not including the poll results- there are 6 articles about The Bay(as of this moment). That's 37.5 % of the coverage. Can you say 'biased' much? Seriously. There are A LOT of other Indie soaps that are listed in the poll EVERY week that don't seem to get ANY press on this website. MAYBE some of the other Indie soaps would actually do better in the polls IF they were given more press here. AS I know, Roger is personally involved in The Bay so it is natural for him to want to PUSH it. BUT is this fair journalism? The heading INDIE SOAP BEAT should just be changed to THE BAY SOAP BEAT. I hope that this post will stay on the wall or at least be moved to the proper location if this is posted in the incorrect location- posting here is new for me. Maybe fans of the other Indie soaps will speak up about their favorite soaps not being EQUALLY represented on this soap website. |
