Then other days I see so many of my favorite characters and actors and know things could turn around with better long-term storylines. Mostly I just want to be able to root for the characters.

Newbie Posts: 3 Group: Members Member #574 Joined: December 16, 2010	The problem is the writers are not creating character driven storylines anymore; it's all plot driven storylines. Take Ricky, for example. When he first came on, he seemed like an interesting character. He seemed like he wanted to get to know Paul. Within months, he turned into a complete psycho because that's what Y&R needed to push other storylines forward. The continue to force certain couples to work even if they have no chemisty or make no sense (Neil/Sofia, Tucker/Ashley, Adam/Sharon, Victor/Sharon, Jack/Gen etc.) and they continue to just have bad storylines in general (the entire Gen/Colin storyline, anything with Lily/Cane, anything with Daisy, Harmony/Tucker/Ashley/Neil). The show needs a complete overhaul, but it really comes down to the writers. They have to go so the show can at least start to get back on track. Bring back Kay Alden!

Newbie Posts: 3 Group: Members Member #574 Joined: December 16, 2010	And they have to stop ruining characters. Sharon was one of my favorite characters, but now I barely stand her. It started when she first left Jack and slept with him, Nick and Billy. Fast forward, she KNOWS Adam stole her baby and she still has a big "romance" with him. That ends and now she's "dating" Victor? Is she that man hungry? I feel like they are taking Eden down the same path. She comes back to town and gets together with Daniel. That ends and she's backburner for months. Kyle comes back and within 3 episodes, Eden's in bed with him. 2 episodes later, he's talking to another girl so she starts making out with Daniel again? Where did this come from? The actors, especially the women, deserve better. Kay Alden needs to come back! I've been #SaveYR ... join in!
