Newbie Posts: 1 Group: Members Member #789 Joined: July 3, 2012	My Vote is for Jack & Jennifer Days of our Lives played by Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves. They are my favorite couple ever. they were funny in their own way, romantic and no other couple could ever come close to pulling off drama and angst the way they could. They are the only couple worth voting for in my opinion. Even after all the crap Days has put this couple through trying to destroy them and always firing Matthew Ashford nothing they do can ruin the magic of Jack & Jennifer 1989-1993. Soaps would be in a better place today if they had never taken substance, layers,& depth out of all their characters. Go back and watch Jack & Jennifer from the beginning and you will see what I mean. Now on soaps all the characters are the same interchangeable cardboad cutouts. People stopped watching because soaps turned characters that people loved into shells of who they were and made them unrecognizable. They began to do only Plot driven stories which led to character destruction. They stopped doing character driven stories.People watch for the characters they love. they want to see them overcome whatever problems come their way while still staying true to who their character is at their core. People watch for romance with slow builds and sexual tention soaps used to take their time telling love stories now everything is instant romance and constant bed hopping. Again I say go back and watch Jack & Jennifer from the begining. Their love was not over night we were treated to watching them slowly fall in love. Jack trying to fight his feelings for Jennifer believing he was to bad for her. Jack Feeling guilty and ashamed over raping Kayla trying so heard to stay away from Jennifer for her own good and believing he did not deserve to be loved. Jennifer falling in love with Jack fighting so hard to get him to believe that she wanted him & that she loved him even with what he had done in the past. Trying to get him to see he had changed and deserved love too. Jennifer being a virgin but because of Jack's history and what he had done she had to be the one to make the moves when it came to making love. and because of how Days used to do things when Jack & Jennifer finaly made love the pay off for fans was so great. It took a long time for them to get together and when it happened WOW. Then you had the rape of Jennifer and her having to face first had what Jack had done to Kayla. when Jennifer slapped Jack & called him a rapist it was to date some of the best drama and angst daytime has ever done. Then we had Jack's own personal horror when he found out Jennifer had been raped by Lawrence. We got to see them fight to stay together. and work through their problems. It was great drama and the Love story of Jack & Jennifer not the crap Days has done to them over the years but the true love story of there 1st run nothing and no other couple comes close to the magic that was Jack & Jennifer

Newbie Posts: 1 Group: Members Member #790 Joined: July 3, 2012	Number 1 Greatest Soap Opera Couple would have to be DOOL Jack & Jennifer their love story was epic, beautiful and full of angst my sister got me hooked on Days and Jack & Jennifer. I still to this day go back and rewatch their entire love story. who could ever forget Jack kidnapping Jennifer from her wedding, dressed as a fireman carrying her to the fire truck and telling her to hop on his engine it was priceless. Or when he fell into her bubble bath. They had some really funny moments but could also pull off the romance and sexual tension beautifuly. when I was younger watching with my sister only the funny moments stood out but when I got older and could understand all that Jack & Jennifer were it just amazes me every time I watch how great DOOL used to be and how sad it has become.

My other favorite couple is Sharon and Adam from The young and the restless. They have unbelievable chemistry, and I feel like they'll ALWAYS be connected. I'm hoping for a Shadam baby sometime! They need to be connected forever, and for that to happen they should have a child.
