Emmy winner Finola Hughes debuted on ABC soap opera
General Hospital 30 years ago today in the role of Anna Devane. She has played the character on and off ever since, including stints on
All My Children and
General Hospital: Night Shift. She won an Emmy in 1991 as part of five total nominations, including this year.
"That Anna resonates with people, you know," Hughes told ABC's Sandy Kenyon in a recent interview to discuss her 30th anniversary. "I'm very happy about that."
