Henry pops in to visit Katie, after he talked to Brad. Brad just told Henry that Katie was in the hospital and was mad at him(Brad). So Katie told Henry about the bone marrow transplant and Henry's all excited because he thinks this will be some good publicity, or a 'platform' as he puts it, for his publisher to build on. ![]() Craig calls Margo and tells her to get over to the hospital to arrest Lucy for kidnapping. Later, he learns that Lucy went to the Lakeview to shower, so he tells Margo to arrest Lucy there, instead. ![]() Dusty goes after Lucy, after asking Craig to stay with Johnny. Dusty tells Lucy that he knows Craig is up to something, and that Lucy has to get under cover. He tells her to go to Metro and that Derek will come take her someplace safe. Craig has some alone time with Johnny, who wakes up and wonders where he is. Craig tells him that Johnny is "home" now, and that "we're going to be a family.." ![]() Dusty calls Josey and asks her to hang around Memorial and see if she can pick up any info about what Craig might be up to. Soon, Josey overhears Craig talking and realizes what he's up to, so she calls Dusty and tells him that Craig's asked Margo to arrest Lucy for kidnapping. Dusty talks to Lucy and tells her that she's got to leave town for awhile, before she's arrested. She finally agrees, but says she's got to talk to Johnny first. Dusty tells Josey to get Craig and Margo out of the hospital, somehow. So Josey makes sure that she starts acting suspiciously and that Craig sees her. Craig falls for it, and grabs her and drags her to Margo. Craig asks her if she knows where Dusty and Lucy are, and she says that as a matter of fact, she does. ![]() Next, Margo and Craig and a cop are at the warehouse where Derek's taken Lucy. (I think that's also the warehouse where Derek kept Vienna and Bonnie at James' order..) While they're searching the warehouse for them, back at Memorial..... Lucy is telling Johnny good-bye. All too soon, it's time for Lucy to leave. Dusty has the jet waiting for her. She tells him to keep Johnny safe, and leaves.... ![]() Craig and Margo go back to Memorial and see Dusty and Josey there, but no Lucy. Craig is furious and demands that Margo arrest both Dusty AND Josey for aiding and abetting a kidnapper. Margo's trying to talk sense into Craig, but he isn't listening. Then Katie comes out of her room and gives an impassioned plea to Craig to think of Johnny first. She apologizes to Dusty for telling Craig about Johnny being back in Oakdale, but asks everybody to put a little boy first in their hearts. Then she semi-collapses. Margo and Craig help her back to bed, and Craig says that he'll try and do things legally, but that when push comes to shove, Johnny is HIS son, and nobody else is going to have him.... Dusty and Josey go into Johnny's room. Johnny again calls Josey 'mommy' and Dusty pulls out a picture of Jennifer and says, "this is your mommy..." ![]() Carly's working on the books at Metro and not liking what she sees. Suddenly a guy shows up. He's a loan officer from the bank, and he's there to tell Carly that the bank is pulling in all the loans that are more than 2 months in arrears... Carly says she'll try to get the money and he tells her to try hard, he hates to see her lose her business.... Carly decides to try to get a second mortgage on the house, at a different bank than Jack went to previously. ![]() At the farm, Jack tells Janet that it's past time for them to have a home of their own. He says he's going to try again to take out a second mortgage on the house, and they leave to go talk to Carly about it... ![]() At the house, when Carly learns what Jack's planning, she says no way, she needs to get a second mortgage to save Metro. Janet gets agitated and tells Carly that having a house for "the kids" is more important than a business and says they shouldn't have to suffer because Carly's a bad businesswoman. Carly is flabbergasted, and throws up her hands and says she gives up, she'll get the money somewhere else.... Now Jack and Janet are back at the farm, and Janet's excited, and has a bunch of newspaper ads for real estate. Jack's having second thoughts about "leaving Carly high and dry" but Janet says that Carly's been running Jack's life for way too long, and it's time to put a stop to that.... Carly goes to Metro and finds Henry setting up displays for his book. He hopes that patrons of Metro will buy it... Carly tells him about needing money to save Metro, and Henry says that much as he loves Metro, he and Vienna still have the diner, and he's got an idea for a second book in mind, so buh bye Metro... Carly says that's all well and good, but she needs Metro. Henry tells her to fight for it, then... How? Carly asks... maybe get yourself a sugar daddy, Henry teases... I think Babs should know about Johnny already, and be there at the hospital with him. ![]() Who gives a rat's A$$ about Henry's stupid book? By the way, I saw it in our Hastings yesterday. |

Ugh!! I don't care about Henry's book either They just want to promote the stupid thing to make a buck. Enough already! Janet mad me so mad today! This all of sudden needing a house...why not rent? I realize this is all a vehicle to get Carly to hit up Craig - or at least I assume that's what that's about since Henry said sugar daddy... I just hate how Carly was treated today. Janet needs a reality check on saving money first for a house!I did like Dusty and Craig with Johnny...probably the best part of the show for me. And yes, where is Babs??? |

I can't figure out how TPTB want fans to feel about Janet. I feel nothing but anger, disbelief at her gall and disgust. The way she talked to Carly today was awful. So the fact that Janet and Jack have 2 incomes between them means nothing for a single mother who owns her own business? And throwing the happy family in Carly's face was just flat out bitchiness and mean. Carly's look of WTH? was priceless. But no way should Carly and Craig team up. NO NO NO Did "Katie's" book sell so well in the real world that the show felt the need to do another booK? The lack of any sight or mention of Barbara is 100% puzzling. her name could have easily been brought up without even showing her, if CZP was on vacation or something. Katie made sense for nearly the whole show today And I think TC is so naturally pretty - I wish the show would tone down her make up the rest of the time.Margo "plays by the book" - Yeah, right. By the way - where are Bob and Kim????

I wish Carly would have let Janet have it more than she did. That woman is a tyrannical, passive aggressive bitch. She has no right to expect Carly to give up her livelihood so she and Jack can buy a house. Carly was right to remind her of the salary of the man she married. If she wanted her demands of comfort so easily met then she should have married a man who was more well off. Josie to Dusty (after FINDING HIS SON FOR HIM): 'You owe me big after this.." Dusty: I don't think so. What a prince. When did Henry write a book?

I read somewhere when Henry wrote the book, but can't remember, or maybe I'm just dreaming... thought it was last Summer, but why I think that I don't know... Judy? ![]() Dusty was totally a jerk today with Josey. It's like he can't be nice to more than one person at once.... today he was sucking up to Lucy, and treating Josey like the redheaded step-child... ![]() Janet was totally bonkers today.

Sorry I can't help you about the book. I've been skipping more shows than I've been watching lately and didn't see the start of that story. Janet is such a bitch! I can't wait until she loses all of her dream life and especially her dream man and that will happen. I am anxious for Jack to see the real Janet. Jack didn't look too happy about that line in the sand crap and he also at least showed some guilt that they were getting all of the money. I had to laugh at Janet saying Jack and Carly were over long before she came to town. Guess she still doesn't know that Jack asked for another chance.Henry got on my nerves today with his I could care less about Metro attitude after he wanted to be a partner so badly. Dusty didn't bug me that much because we had scum of the earth Craig around that makes any man look like a prince Actually I believe Katie's book was a best seller in real life, so that is probably why they did a 2nd one. |

This is actually the third book, right? But the second one was Katie's book with some new junk added? This Henry book has been in the works for a year. I would have preferred to have someone like Emma, who has written novels, be the author. Or even Luke who wants to be a writer. This book stuff is just silly. |

They did do a 2nd version of Katie's book so it must have sold well. But since it was basically the same I count this as the 2nd "real" book. Roger would you really want Luke's name attached to the book I read an excerpt at cbs.com and it sounds like a cheesy romance novel.

I HATE JANET AND JACK WITH A WHITE HOT HATE!!!!!!!!!!!! What a nasty, disgusting BITCH! (And that's the nicest way I can put it on a public board.) And Jack just stands there. I NEVER, EVER, NEVER, EVER want Jack with Carly again!!!!!!!!!!! Keep the PUKE that is Janet and Jack far, far, away from Carly. As for Dusty, he got rid of Lucy pretty easily didn't he. While she wasn't looking, he basically took her out of Johnny's life, just as she did to him. Dusty is a DIRTBAG!!!!!!!!! Not that Lucy deserves anything but getting locked up in jail. She has put that poor child through a lot in the last few years doing her so-called good deed by keeping him away from Craig. The reason why I LOVE Craig is that all the other people in this story are sanctimonious ASSHOLES who do all kinds of illegal things and then get all bent out of shape when Craig does the same. Lucy and Dusty were planning to leave with Johnny. Craig had every right to try to stop them. As soon as I see Janet and Jack, my finger goes right to the FF button. I CANNOT STAND THEM!!!! |

Well, if it was about Lucy, Luke would have been a better choice then Henry since Luke is only one that I enjoyed the last Lucy with (except maybe a bit of Damian). I have a feeling this book won't sell as well but we'll see. I think the subject matter is not on ATWT fans top priority list of things they are interested in. I would rather see a prequel - like Jack's life before he came to Oakdale and met Carly. Or something like that versus a story that is supposedly fiction but intersects which what is happening now. |

I SO wanted Carly to say, "Oh honey, Jack and I will NEVER be over. Never." What gets me about Janet is her massive overconfidence. At least Katie had the good sense to be insecure.
I agree. Sure Craig is questionable as a parent, but who isn't in that town? The sanctimony bothers me the most. Craig is guilty of this as well, but as I've said, Dusty treats the kid like property. He's the proverbial mother who would rather divide her child in half than see herself left with nothing. Edited by JuliaGRO, Jan 7 2009, 09:55 PM.

I think I really hate the heck out of Janet. The heat is still coming off of my head about her attitude towards Carly today. I want Jack to see what Janet is really like. She's so, so two-faced. Hopefully Jack will speak up soon about the line in the sand she is trying to draw. |

Like a fool, I bought the first book and about gagged reading it, it was so poorly written and had such a week story... IMO of course... But wait..... in hindsight, it was kind of like watching the show some days....

I think this book won't sell well either, anyway I hope it doesn't, as that would restore some of my faith that people recognize it as a poorly constructed, poorly conceived, poorly written PITA, and not because of the subject matter....

Why can't they give Henry (and Vienna) something interesting to do? Any spoiler I read of them always involves them in wacky hijinks and nothing substantial enough to warrant a story. They just have nothing to do with them so they have them the diner and Metro? So boring. Vienna could easily be involved with a fashion story connected to BRO and Henry could be working on some PI business like he used to do. Why do they isolate these 2 so much? I have zero interest in the book and hope yesterday was the last we heard of it on the show. |
