I have not picked up any copies of the OAKDALE books but when I go to bookstores...I definitely see the book all the time. The FIRST (and SECOND) book had to have been added income to ATWT. I do not blame tptb for attempting another book and picking HENRY as the writer...I hope there is some levity in the reading. What gets me is how LUCINDA was pulled in as a major character but then it is supposed to be about Johnny. EVERYTHING is about JOHNNY. The WORLD ONLY TURNS with JOHNNY in the middle. I just hope that LUCY leaves the country and does not go on a college tour and I would be happy if JOHNNY went with her. The saddest part of this whole crap is how JOHNNY thinks JOSEY is MOMMY.

Member Posts: 228 Group: Members Member #465 Joined: December 8, 2008	I actually liked Katie's book, the FIRST edition because it actually involved characters who are not on the show and was not tied into anything currently airing on the show. Then the second edition when Katie was no longer anonymous and actually wrote about Carly and Simon exposing their jewel theft... While it was great that it allowed the writers to make Katie more famous it was in reality a cheap ploy to sell the book all over again. But while I bought the first, why would I have wanted to buy the second? Again with Henry the book is based on storyline we've already seen. Not sure why would loyal viewers read it unless they need the kind of story the show no longer has the budget for!
