Oh barf  Just what we don't need. The show can't write a decent story for them as it is. They are taking characters like Ali and Casey that I really liked and have made it almost impossible to watch. Can't stand new Jade.And who of the regular cast will get the axe to afford them? Knowing that CBS is cutting what they pay ATWT for the show, you know some cuts are coming yet they hire more newbies that nobody cares about.

I'm with Judy. What we don't need is more newbies. Plus, I feel like the show has enough college aged kids at the moment - Ali, Jade, Luke, Casey, Matt, Noah, etc. and they don't know how how to write good stories for the ones that they have.

In the audition scene, Casey shared a scene with the twins. They both seemed into him, so maybe Zac will be in a triangle with Noah and Luke and Zoe will be mixed up with Casey. Who knows. If these were Frannie's long lost kids, fans might accept them more instead of some random newbies. I guess that would make them Casey's cousins though so I guess not. |

The problem is there are just too many newbies! I don't care who they are related to. I want familiar faces. I want to see the cast we've seen for years and we've got enough of the younger generation unless they are ditching Jade and Matt which sadly they may be to bring on these two. We appear to have already lost Dallas and Aaron. I could care less if we lose Jade but I would like for Matt to stick around. They need to stop just casting people for a story arc and then pushing them out. It's become As the Cast Turns. And the way kids are sorased it seems like Frannie's quads, not twins, should be older. And the name Zoe just gives me the heebie jeebies  I still don't think I am over the Sarah. Zoey, fauxPaul nightmare!

Like Judy, I could care less who these twins may be related to. They're still newbies and we have way too many of those. Plus, many viewers probably don't know who the heck Frannie is, anyway, since she's been off the show for years. I think we have way too many of the younger set as it is. It makes no sense to bring on 2 more, esp. if they have to cut people to do it. |

Roger, thanks for the twins info. I think.  Karen, that's a good point about how a lot of people watching the show wouldn't even know who Frannie Hughes is/was. This idea that bringing back kids and grandkids and whatever kids of characters who haven't been on the show for ages, not even mentioned, is really stupid.

Twins? With or without connections, the last thing this show needs is an infusion of 'youth' to a group that is already looking more and more like a dumb version of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'  TPTB have no clue what they're doing, again (or should I say - still).Karen's point about newer fans not knowing who Frannie is  Given how badly Dani was written into the show recently, I have NO faith whatsoever that history will be either considered or honored if the newbies are related to a current Oakdale family. Even Maddie's recent return was horrible!

Some new fans don't even know Lisa is Tom's mother or was married to Bob. The show needs to decide what it wants to be. If they are never going to have any interest in the past, they might as well cut some of those characters loose, even though I would personally hate that. They just seem to be throwing one thing after another out there to see what sticks. |

Roger, I agree with you 100% - the show needs to decide which direction they are going because straddling the line is messy, confusing and increasingly unwatchable. It's also the surefire way to cancellation or not being renewed at the next go 'round. |

Proof of that is that I totally forgot Dani was ever even on the show until you mentioned it. No lasting impression was made on me, and no lasting impression is being made on me now. The last thing they need is two new people - I don't even recognize this show anymore. When will the damage stop??? |
