Meg's gotten Eliza checked out at Memorial and she's fine. Naturally Dusty shows up and ends up going out to the farm with Meg. :biggrin Holden comes in and actually manages to be civil to Dusty, and apologizes for some things he said to Dusty while Eliza was missing. The two shake, and Holden leaves to do chores, after turning down, nicely, Dusty's offer to help. :shutup

Next, Meg apologizes to Dusty for things SHE said. :rolleyes

:josey
Down at the police station, Paul's planning on pleading guilty to everything, and Babs is there trying to convince him not to. She sasys he can plead insanity. :shutup She's not getting anywhere with Paul and then Josey shows up and says she's going to testify for Paul at his trial. Paul says that there isn't going to BE a trial.... Paul tells Josey to leave, and she tells him to grow up... :waiting

Josey's next stop is the farm, where she tells Meg and Dusty that she's going to testify for Paul. She tells them how Paul isn't even letting Barbara get him a lawyer, that he's given up. She also tells them that they've made mistakes, too - are they really so different from Paul? :hmm Meg's starting to take what Josey said to heart, but not Dusty. :shutup She asks Dusty to stay with Eliza while she goes to talk to Paul. She leaves, and we see Josey still hanging around outside, and she doesn't waste any time going back into the kitchen where Dusty is.... :hmm

Josey tells Paul she wants to make sure he doesn't hate her, and he says he doesn't, but he doesn't trust her. :waiting

Carly's apparently spent the entire night sitting at her desk trying to work on sketches for Midnight Sun, cause that's where she wakes up and the sun's shining and it's morning. Kids?????? :huh :huh :huh She's also seriously hung over and takes a bunch of aspirin and shudders when the phone rings. It's Craig, cheerful as can be, and he tells her he likes her a lot when she's had several vodkas. :shutup Carly flashes back to the kiss and groans. :smack She hangs up and starts mulling over a way out of her partnership with Craig.

Carly calls Lily and asks her to meet her at The Lakeview. She has a business proposal. :rolleyes Lily shows up and Carly makes her pitch, not telling Lily that Craig's been in on this all along, and that, in fact, it was Craig's idea. :smack Carly pitches the idea of the vodka appealing to women, and says that if two women are partners, that would be a good thing. Lily wonders if the two of them can work together, after Carly slept with Holden. :shutup Carly thinks they can, so Lily says she'll take the paperwork home and go over the financials and get back to Carly by the end of the day. :hmm

Lily goes home and talks to Holden about Carly's business proposal, and Holden doesn't think it would be a good idea. :hmm

Now Carly goes home and calls Mr Seigler, the circus guy. She leaves a message with his secretary, saying that Craig Montgomery is no longer involved, and for Mr S to call her directly. :smack

In the meantime, Craig's run into Lily and Lily tells him about the possibility of her going into business with Carly. Craig's astonished, of course, but doesn't let on to Lily that he's Carly's partner. :waiting Then he goes to talk to Carly... :lol

Carly's on the spot when Craig informs her that he knows all about her meeting with Lily. He's downright furious and calls Carly a name, there were several words in it, the last one was "termagant" which I looked up and it means 2: an overbearing or nagging woman : shrew . :devil

Craig tells Carly he realizes that it's the kiss that made her do this, that he could feel her getting scared... Carly denies it of course. Craig tears up the papers with Carly's sketches on them, and says that Midnight Sun is HIS company, and SHE doesn't drop him, HE drops her..... :waiting

Just then the phone rings. It's Lily saying she's decided not to go into partnership with Carly. :eek Carly covers on the phone and then tells Craig that maybe they should give some second thoughts to whether they should be partners or not. :devil Craig realizes that Lily turned down Carly's offer, and laughs. "I've got Carly Tenney right where I want her, don't I?" :hmm

Craig leaves, telling Carly he's got to think over whether or not he wants to partner up with her. :hmm

Meg goes down to the police station and Barbara asks Meg to help Paul... Meg goes into the interrogation room and Paul's eyes light up momentarily, but as Meg talks, he realizes that she still harbors a lot of anger towards him. She wonders if she should speak up for him, and Paul says he guesses it's up to her..... :hmm Meg says that she's done with him, but that now she's got to think about whether or not Eliza should have him in her life as a father, and she really doesn't know right now how she feels about that... :hmm

When Meg gets back to the farm, Dusty's holding a sleeping Eliza. He asks Meg how things went with Paul, and she said he really wants to pay for what he did... Dusty says oh right, and Meg says she thinks Paul's sincere... :hmm

:josey
Josey's at the police station now, and Paul asks her why she's staying around if Dusty's told her that he's not interested in her. Josey says she's staying for Paul. :hmm

The show was pretty much a snooze for me, although I did have to :lol when Dusty was going about heating up a bottle for Eliza. The way he was moving around that kitchen with the kettle and all, I half expected stuff to start falling out of the cupboards. :shutup

Previews seem to be showing the theory some of you had about Matt's part in the Elwood/Reg thing... :hmm

I really hope this isn't the case. Maybe we're being made to think that, but maybe it's actually Matt trying to help Casey out. I'll be really mad if they just brought Matt back for this. :pullhair

This show was such a snoozer...I was wishing to just stop watching and HURTING through the episode and viewing the news for the day instead.

I love DUSTYDonovan...but ALL BABIES SHOULD BE KEPT 50 yards away from him.

Ironically...DUSTY loses a child but he is with child all of the time...and CRAIG wins custody of child and never is seen with one....unless he is sending them away to Chicago.

I FEEL MORE FOR PAUL than anyone is this mess. Why is he being arrested for taking his own child. Has he all ready lost custody of his own child? (that is probably something that I have missed)

BARBARA is doing well...but MEG is a witch.

:hmm Roger, I guess we wait....

flashy, no you didn't miss anything, Paul hasn't lost custody of Eliza yet, so I don't see why he should have been arrested, although ethically what he did was wrong...

Roger I hope you are right. I think there is lots of potential for Matt and I would hate to lose him. Sadly the show just doesn't know how to write a compelling story for the 20 somethings. I'm still trying to figure out how Casey just turned 21 when he was already 21 a year ago. :waiting

The way the writing goes for the show, it's very possible that there was some sort of temporary custody arrangement for Eliza. Why show the viewers when you can go back and rewrite something :wacko There are plenty of other charges they could get Paul on. Certainly cutting the power at the Lakeview is illegal. He did force Joise to go with him. And they could easily get him for child endangerment. However I don't feel sorry for Paul at all. Maybe he can begin to realize the pain he caused Jennifer. It would be nice if this got him to straighten his life around but no chance of that. It's a given that Meg will help see he is cleared since he won't go to jail but he'll immediately go and do something crazy.

Too bad Craig can't find any time for his son that he wanted so badly :rolleyes

If Matt is as good as he seems this will be a great improvement for ATWT. The show needs a good guy, even if he's a two-time ex-con.

Thanks, Suz! :2thumbs

I really, really, really wish that the character Paul could be written that he isn't constantly insane or immoral, I'm okay with him doing devious deeds, but why does it have to be back to back? It would be much more interesting to have him alternate between periods of being "normal" with Stenbeckian spins to things subtly happening, with major upheavals every now and then. This constant self-destruction stuff has gotten old and boring, not to mention ridiculous. :gaah

I am loving the Carly/Craig pairing. I'm starting to see some real chemistry between the two. Not the CarJack kind of chemistry, but some potential exists there. I was thinking how I wish someone would really sweep her off her feet and that she would fall for him too. Craig could be it (for now). If they had a real passionate kiss, I could see how much potential there is. But these two seem to really like each other, and there is enough annoyance there to make it interesting and fun. Craig "gets" Carly in a way Jack never did. He, unlike Jack, can immediatley spot when she is lying, and Carly knows it so confesses right away. What's fun is Craig is a match for Carly in every way, except for the yet to be seen physical stuff with this particular Craig. When Carly was with Craig the first time (then, Hunt Block), I never really got the physical stuff between them. They had a great repartee, but no real romantic spark. Boy would this get to Jack if these two really fell for each other. Until my beloved CarJack reunites someday, this is working for me right now. I just hope the writers don't mess it up!

I definitely enjoy the Craig/Carly stuff, too, the only thing that spoils it for me is knowing that it's going to be written so that Carly gets smacked down eventually.... :cuss :tomato

MW-CARLY tends to create chemistry with everyone....that is just what is GOOD about her. I was just trying to think of WHOM would be the BEST love interest replacement for her and sadly the only person I would appreciate CARLY with besides JACK (physically) is ShawnChristian or ANDY DIXON.

I, too, am 100% tired of Paul being all insane, all of the time. If that's the way the show wants him to be - and is making Paul do illegal, crazy things - then lock him up already. It's not entertaining watching the same old crap.

Meg would make any person crazy with her waffling, by the way. I like Meg OK but jeeeez, she's a mess.

Flashy, I know you don't like babies on the show but the reality is that couples have babies at some point and it's going to keep happening ad nauseum on ATWT. :devil Considering they are both stubborn lunkheads, Craig and Dusty (and the actors playing them) are both very good, naturally & surprisingly, with babies and kids. It could be that's one reason why the show keeps putting them in baby stories? :hmm It's just a theory.

I would love for Matt to be a good guy, but not to the point that he becomes dull because then he'll get paired up with another dull person and we will all be bored to death. :smack And I like him and Ali's friendship right now.

Roger, I think you're right, by the way. Unfortunately, the show has a lot of history to back up your point, too. Frustrating, isn't it?!?! :gaah :pullhair

As much as I enjoy the banter between Carly and Craig - always have, no matter who was playing Craig - I am still very disgusted, disbelieving and very angry that anything romantic could even be considered between them. I'd rather they PRETEND it to get the rise out of the rest of Oakdale (who thinks they both are awful people anyway...) but NOT act on it or be sincere in any efforts of real affection. Carly should HATE his guts for eternity! :gaah :cuss :mad

And WHY on earth does Carly think that Lily is the only person with money that she can turn to? Why not ask Dusty??!?!?! It would at least give something else to do... AND it would tick off Craig, Lily and Holden - which I wouldn't mind seeing at this point. I'm so tired of Lily and Holden being so sanctimonious about Carly.

Casey's back-aging is ridiculous. :lame

Josie's use seems to be used up and if she sticks around for Paul, that's just wrong. :wacko :puke

I agree. The same thing happened with Barbara a few years ago. She was insane pretty much all the time, crashed through windows, wore the black veil.. and generally was thought to be the devil by everyone in town. It totally isolated her from everyone and gave her one story, "Barbara does something evil and crazy; is despised by all." Finally they brought her back to "normal" and I couldn't have been happier because it gave her back story potential. A little bit of craziness/duplicity is good but too much paints the character into a corner. That's where they've got Paul now. Since he's lost everyone's trust, he can't win no matter what he does. He needs to start being written (like this is going to happen) more rationally so he can actually be a legitimate player in stories rather than the 'crazy' who everyone just reviles and talks 'around.'

Anni, Casey's age just drives me :gaah ! And not just because of the backaging, which I, of course had totally spaced, :lol but because just the other day, when they planned that party at Yo's, they said "oh his actual birthday isn't for a few days but we want to surprise him now!" But then suddenly he WAS actually 21, and I was
